Alright boys, just thought I'd stop by - as promised - in the wake of the game today....

....We looked good early, faded later when the old guard predictably got a run out. Funny to see Campbell get a goal, good luck for the rest of the season - only a bit of banter, after all!

A bit of banter? At one point I thought you were going to roll.on the floor kicking and screaming. Safc93

Agree6 Disagree1

Faded later?? typical glory clown, it was coz sunderland were the better team 2nd half and you know we should of got something out of the game. go and do one, revenge mission haha, the wrong club got the result today, just imagine we didn't gift you the 1st and 3rd goals

Agree5 Disagree0

So saying we would get relegated was a joke? Red sky plz reply

Agree10 Disagree0

So I was being deadly serious, apparently.

What gave it away boys? The blatantly tongue-in-cheek, WWE villain type language I was using from the off?! The OTT dramatic nonsense of lines such as "the Poznan comes home to roost"?

Thought I'd pop back on WITHOUT bragging and rubbing your faces in it, but seems there was little point.

Forget about it.

My team for next week.
Mignolet
Larsson cueller bramble rose
Johnson gardner Vaughan mcClean
Wickham Campbell
I know a lot of you want fletcher but I would rest him and bring him on later, plus wickham and campbell looked lively when they came on. Safc93

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Cant understand why Campbell has been over looked he gives us some badly needed pace ! and the same for Vaughn ! why isnt he in the team !..i disagree with Bramble he was terrible today ,slow lethargic ,i would have put Killgallon in but realisticly as described on MOTD we need to sort the defence out ..and quickly !

Agree4 Disagree0

The whole back four looked so pedestrian today ! my granny has more pace than Bramble , Cuealer ,and Oshea put together !

Agree3 Disagree0

Every one having a go at the back four. It was a makeshift back four

Agree0 Disagree1

Every back four Sunderland have put out for about three seasons now has been makeshift. It seems we only sign central defenders once they have demonstrated that they are no longer (and some never were!) worth a place elsewhere, and apart from a good spell about two years ago Bardsley has rarely looked the part- he does not have the pace to get up and down in the Premier League and is too often caught on the wrong side of his winger. Rose- a makeshift loan signing when O'Neill realised too late had fiddled away the summer and done nothing to address long-term defensive problems- has been far and away the most impressive defender, though he too has been caught out of position too often (can't blame him- he must despair playing with the shower around him). Rose apart, we don't have a single defender who would get into QPRs side- though they would no doubt still look quite good in the SPL, which seems to be the quality of player MoN favours. Face it, the best fullback performances from squad players we have seen over the past two seasons have been from Gardner and Colback- that tells you all you need to know about the defence, and the management of the team.

Agree5 Disagree0

Agree with that tottally our defence has been the problem big time ..we seem to constantly play players ie gardener .coleback etc in these positions ..why dont we have cover for Rose and Bardley /?is there no reserves coming through ?...and MON doesnt seem sure about witch cetral defenders to play ...and cuellar and oshea are for too slow pat for the fullback postions as cruelly exposed in the man utd game !..time for MON to strenthen these postions..what about Stephen Warnock ? Dawson Collins, Dunn all solid defenders ..as Wes Brown is not avaible most of the time !

Heard a rumour today we will sign players in the Jan transfer window who can play football and give 100% every game, because they are getting millions per year. But as i say this is only a rumour.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

As this is a rumour site his name would be handy!

Question about MON why doesnt he play Campbell who scored today? where is JI ?.why doesnt he bring back Meyler when Catts is out for so long ?, Meyler was needed today !...i we need to go back to 4-4-2 Sess is NOT a striker MON has any sense hell block Campbell going out in Jan paticully to Steve Bruce !...again on today we are only playing one half we were appaling the first half !..again playing too deep when Man utds defence was there for the taking !

Believable4 Unbelievable2

We should have made more of todays game ! no fight in the first half and the defence was a shambles.!..we keep talking about strikers but unless MON sorts out the defence we are going to be in trouble !

Agree3 Disagree0

Look for goodness sake, we could have had any player at the club playing today, but they are not up to the task.Does the number of wins in the last year not tell you that.Look at the stats and we are worse than a relagation team,it lucky its over 2 half seasons.Nothing will change in the weeks ahead Mon will keep seeing the positives and we will keep swallowing the excuses.Johnson today, £3.9 million in wages, was he worth it ,no ,not even a fraction of it.He is just one of these overpaid players who are taking the mick out of us and the club.I dont know the answer but these players and manager and staff must be laughing all the way to the bank.Keep the faith ,yes, but not in this lot .

Agree1 Disagree2

Johnson and Fletcher today were carrying injuries so why play them unless they are 100% fit ! ?...play the youngsters !

Keep off MoN's back, He is the best manager for the club. And would like to see him there in 4-5 yrs time. Need to give managers time.

Believable6 Unbelievable6

We gave a great 2nd half performance at man utd, got beat as expected but only 3-1 and could of been better if we didn't give away cheap goals, o'shea needs dropping, another mistake by him, maybe a leader but is prone to too many mistakes

Agree4 Disagree3

Yes we played well in th 2nd half but time and time again we only played for one half !we need to do it for 90 mins not 45 when the game was over !...!.MON needs to sort the defence out for Southampton next weekend !

You lot are gonna get done 7-0 today good luck

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Is that coming from a Geordie well your gonna get done by city at least we beat city at home last time

Agree2 Disagree0

Wheres your 7 gone. Wheres your 7 gone. Typical clueless glory supporter. Could have been a draw if we had a goal scorer up front

Agree4 Disagree0

7-0 eh??? 3-1 and it could of been alot worse for utd if we didn't give away cheap goals, sunderland were the better team, how many teams go to glory utd and have more shots on target and be the better team 2nd half, one word one SUNDERLAND AFC!

Agree3 Disagree0

HA HA well it was 3-1 !

Good luck to the lads today,we need the points badly,no reason to fear Man Utd because we are on a good run of 1 on the trot.Just thought i would post a not so serious note.

2-1 united with them getting a controversial pen in the 7th min of fergie time for the win. Safc93

Anyone think we should put in a bid for Mohamed Diame of west ham he's got a 3.5 mill release clause in his contract being playing really well just what we need in cm.chris33

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Defo diame is a quality midfielder

Agree4 Disagree0

Its a no brainer he should be first on MONs christmas list

Agree3 Disagree0

He's just done his hamstring...long term injury!

Agree0 Disagree3

What six weeks thats not long term? sign him...thats that

Agree1 Disagree1

Wouldn't buy any player with hamstring problems once that happens they are never the same player

Agree1 Disagree2

We are only in a position to bring in a certain amount of players who conform to our wage structure, so lets bring in a injured player who's just been offered a double your money deal by his club. He's also a player who turned us down in the summer choosing to go to West Ham on a free.
