Interesting piece of statistical analysis by James Hunter of the Journal this week, focusing on MON's 50 game tenure thus far.
MON's 'poor' record would appear to compare quite favourably against all the other SAFC managers in the premier league era. In fact, the best points per game ratio of all and just a point behind Peter Reid as the best points total after 50 games.
So, the only evidence we need to concern ourselves with is that our club appears to be in safe hands. We are what we are, a mid-table side in it's longest continuous run in the top flight since season 1969-70 but most importantly of all, a WORK IN PROGRESS, a point not once acknowledged by those with 20-20 vision on this forum.

You need to check your facts marra.
Net spend (which is all that matters) over the last 5 seasons is £42 million - and yes, that buys you mid-table.

My SAFC Team Here
Mignolet
Bardsley O'Shea Mangane Rose
Sessegnon N'Diaye Gardner Johnson
Fletcher Graham
Its About time we used Bardsley, Mangane and 2 Centre forwards in the Lineup.
With an 11 like that if Graham Scores goals if Gardner Keeps scoring from Set Pieces and if Johnson starts to carry on whiping balls into the penalty box they must all earn England calls. If N'Diaye is a good tackler and always winning balls from takles he must earn an France senior call.

That line up would get us beaten most of the time.
We cannot play 2 upfront.
Fletcher on his own, maybe bring Graham on after 80 minutes if we are more than 1 goal down.
We need to keep it tight at the back.
Mon knows what he is doing, we do not have a good enough squad to attack.
Jeez.

You'd be stupid to play 442 against any club. hardly anyone plays 442, you'd just get over-run in the midfield and let's face it, I don't think gardner and n'diaye are going to be able to face up to cabaye-tiote-sissokos, or toure-silva-nasri, britton-de guzman-michu get real. If you play 442 on derby day you will just end up crying about a 5-1 loss to us.
