Use our rumours form to send us sunderland transfer rumours.

More comedy defending and predictable, toothless attacking. This team have looked so bad so often this season we have gotten used to it, but getting mugged at home by a Championship team that was not even at its strongest is an uncomfortable reminder that we have too many players who should be playing in the Championship themselves. The signings so far are encouraging, but at least three more are needed because there were six or seven out there tonight who will never be better than ordinary. And as for the preparation and organisation of the team- MON again shows he has the tactical flair of a corner flag and the motivational powers of a brown-ale shandy. Another humiliating defeat- pathetic all round.

Back into the woodwork then. According to some on here O Neil is the best manager the world.

Typical modern day players gutless ( ie Adam Johnson scared to get his shiny new green boots and strip dirty ) 10 million what a joke well at least he saves us money on washing powder. For gods sake at least attempt to look like you want to make a challenge also Bardsley are you trying to end your sunderland career cause if you are just keep performing like you have been this season that should do the trick

titus shambles does it again

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Though Bramble and Kilgallon were as unconvincing as usual, there were notable contributions from all over the field to this latest display of general incompetence. No doubt MON will say we were 'unfortunate' again. Does he have any idea how to organise a football team?

Ed024, thank goodness we at least follow a club that is respected (for it's rich history) and liked (for it's modesty and realism) all around the country wherever we travel.
Can you imagine being disliked as much as Newcastle. They think it's a chip on our shoulder being the economically challenged neighbour shall we say. Their chip appears in the form of the London press - why do they hate us so much ? What they haven't figured out is that it's the whole country ! I've worked it out though. It's all about short memories.

The Toon Army, the 'Cathedral' in the City and the Entertainers

Most members of the 'Toon Army' aren't old enough to remember the yo-yo years of 1979-1992 when the cathedral echoed with the sound of empty seats and mediocracy.
After all, the Toon Army wasn't invented until 1993. Not until the financial future of the club was recklessly mortgaged away by Messers Hall and Shepherd, did the sermons become worth attending. While fans hold on to the fading memories of entertaining if not defensively accomplished football, their club treats them with contempt, closing doors to any meaningful communication, while the class of 2013 flirts with disaster once again.

Ours is a more considered approach. A wholesome and altogether better club.
In MON we have our best manager ever. Time will tell, they know it and don't like it.

Right, I'm off to the match !

Shame we were crap 2nite but we would only get beat off everton so saves us the effort, 1 striker again upfront, shows why we need strengthening

Did you enjoy the match on that high and mighty pedastol you put yourself on?

Agree5 Disagree0

Did you enjoy the game.
Must be difficult being Sunderland fan. Every time you speak people think your a Geordie only for you to tell them your a Mackem. Which gets a puzzled look. Also where is the international airport of Sunderland. You even have not got a national rail station. Also when was the last time you seen the place Sunderland on the national weather? Small town and smaller football club. Yo yo years maybe just like the might sunderland

Agree1 Disagree5

Didn't you get beat off a championship club too? And it's even more embarrassing if you're a bigger club considering you are battling for relegation! Ha mug. By the way, how's the new signing rent? Oh wait there...

Agree5 Disagree2

Yeah but your still crap

Agree0 Disagree3

Airports, National Rail stations !!!! if you can't keep it to football your really missing the point.

Agree2 Disagree1

So Newcastle are battling relegation but Sunderland are not? Is that right? Another deluded comment. You are in your position with a full squad. I would be far more worried than we should be.

Agree2 Disagree1

We all hear you mags banging on about rail stations and airports remember s/land had an airport long before ncl, the international airport of ncl is a joke it's tiny and once you travel around the world for work you realise how lazy the ground staff at ncl are. also if reports in the media are anything to go by the tiny int airprt of ncl may be on its way out as plans are to build a larger airport near peterlee so it will mean you mags will have to get bigger provvy loans to go to benidorm.

Agree1 Disagree0

We own our ground you don't, 40 years with no major trophy poor but still better than the mags. Owner that seems to have a clue, can you say the same. And last but not least you only exists cause we leant you the kit to start playing, fact! Yes you started in red and white my mag friends. Haway the lads

Agree3 Disagree1

Ed is this not a football site? Who cares about airports.
