Use our rumours form to send us sunderland transfer rumours.

We're 20th, I expected us to be in the relegation zone in the first couple of games, due to the players needing to gel, but in the next few weeks we will start to see the best of the players

We have a very strong line up, we just need a CDM in beside Ki, instead of Vaughan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just watched Southampton v West Ham. Surely we are better than that. I do think that an extra midfielder should be in the team. Surely we can beat West Brom. Go for win- not a draw.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, look at Man U and Fergie, his time with them didn't start well and almost got the sack, but they stuck with him and luck at everything they have become now

I'm certainly not comparing Sunderland to Man UTD or Di Canio to Fergie, but things do take time, on that 2nd half display we will become a very solid team and big teams will find it hard to beat us
KEEP THE FAITH

Agree0 Disagree0

Not once during the pre season didn't anybody on here say they expected Sunderland to be in the relegation zone. You have had a pretty good opening fixture list and with all the so called world class players playing under a supposed world class manager you would you would be living up to the so called dark horse comment that has been made many times. Instead you have found what we told you lot from the start you have signed a lot of average players with no PL experience and you will struggle.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Certain no one claimed PDC was a World Class Manager, and many many fans stated it would take time for the team to gel. Dark horses ......dark horses for what ??? No one thought we'd win the league, we have struggled so far but the season is only 4 games old.}

I'm pretty sure I did

Agree0 Disagree0

Iv said it at least 5 times now but I really must stress this point, everything Di Canio has said about what he will do and what will happen about the team has been 100% accurate, now he has said the fans will start to see the best out of the team in the next week or two and after that second half performance I believe him, he is a very intelligent man and amazingly dedicated, he gets up at the crack of dawn and gets home at midnight, fantastic worker, not so much family man

Nice to see that Lawrenson and Savage share the same opinion with us on the Arsenal game

Agree0 Disagree0

A CDM? one man fits the job
LEE CATTERMOLE

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not sure why you think you should be dispatching West Brom.

Here are a few reasons why.

Ben Foster
Scott Sinclair
Shane Long
Jonas Olsson
Anichebe (Beast)
Mulumbu
Sess
Anelka
Amafiltano (Good potential there)
Ridgewell (Proper solid English defender)

West Brom have the core of a good squad there, can you honestly say the Sunderland squad can compete with that? They have match winners and some good solid players to sweep up around the back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why bring west brom into the post as no one has mentioned them mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Dark horse? haha like it

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd Post, ' surely we can beat West Brom' 'Mate'

Does anyone know what has happened, is happening with Cabral. He looked just the guy we need in the early games then nothing. Has he already been ostracised?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

PDC may have dropped him coz of training

If they play sh*t in training they won't play a game

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know, hope he just is injured but rumours flying about he fell out with Paulo, don't need players who just coming for a paycheque!

Agree0 Disagree0

PDC sold Sess because he wasnt happy with his attitude and dedication, if he sees the same things in Cabral, he's next to go

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive said this on a couple of posts but cabral is a class player man of the match against Fulham. then has a disagreement with pdc and now he won't play him sounds like pdc likes his own way and if he doesn't get it the toys come out the pram.

Agree0 Disagree0

What was the disagreement about

Agree0 Disagree0

PDC ain't like other managers

If we had RVP, he had a poor week in training, he would be dropped even if he is a class player
He demands full desire

Said in the summer we should have signed Ramsey!

Still, saw enough yesterday to make me think we'll be OK? Just got to try and hang in there until we really find our feet.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You are not hanging in there. You are trailing behind with a gap opening up with you and the rest of the relegation candidates. Teams that start the season dragging at the bottom of the table normally stay there. The psychological factor of playing catch up is very difficult, and if you are not catching or even dragging further behind, the worse it gets.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah you know

Agree0 Disagree0

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
That HUGE gap of 1 point, we're Doomed!!

What about Everton, they used to always have a poor start and ended up well in the top 10
Liverpool, d'ya really think they are going to win the league

We had more shots than Arsenal today who are a class team

Things are looking brighter
Trust me

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well yeah, if the premier league was based on how many times you hit and hope, I'd agree things are looking brighter!

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. We actually tried to play football against the best footballing side around and were unlucky not to come away with something. Their goals were 3 split seconds of excellence. Although I think keeper could have kept two of them out.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way in hell, he's keepin that second one out, he was too close to it to save it with the power which was put behind it, and I think someone might have interrupted his line if sight too

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish the mags would do one, stick to your own team, what 2 wins and they think they title contenders again and pardew and ashley are better than sliced bread, Deluded fools, anyway we got robbed by a ref, sick of the top teams getting the rub of the green, 1st half we should of been 0-4 down but 2nd half we were the better team and should of at least drawn, but to hell with the negative fans who want Paulo out, he has said everything that has been true so far, we will get worse before we get better and that 2nd half showed we are getting their, but no vaughan or oshea please paulo, ki looked decent, mavrias did well, missed giach and altidore and fletch looked like they may just hit it off soon, have to feel really sorry for Jozy though, he works hard and has been robbed a goal and is getting closer to scoring, Have faith in PDC and Sunderland! HA'WAY THE LADS!

Agree0 Disagree0

Things are looking better sunderland bottom of the table.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is Cabral though?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why you do wish us mags to do one. Its a banter site. If things were as bad for us as they were for Sunderland you lot would be camped on our page the same way you were pre-season with your talk of being dark horses this season. Dry your eyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe you should ask PDC when he thinks his team is going to be a side ready for the Premier League.

Truth be told he inherited a Premier League side, why has he got 14 players in, but says you are not ready yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mag logic is awful, please if you feel you must comment on your rivals site at least talk sense and not utter rubbish as usual, we will rise that table soon enough

Altidore really is a poor mans Ameobi. You lot really need a fully fit Fletcher. Altidore won't get dbl figures this year.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wow, proves my theory of geordies being clueless is right. Safc93

Agree0 Disagree0

I would say cisse was a poor mans ameobi.
Liono74

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh god, they are such persons, he's a beast and could have had a couple yesterday

Whereas Cisse just constantly gets bullied off the ball so easily and most of the time doesn't look interested

Agree0 Disagree0

Altidore is 100 times better than ameobi and he will prove he is better than cisse and remy put together

Agree0 Disagree0

Altidore the new heskey!

LOL you lot, altidore will prove he is better than cisse and remy put together? He's not even better than cisse who's out of form!

Agree0 Disagree0

Im the mag that posted this, I was trying to be helpful. Cisse is having a shocking start but we saw last season what he can do when he finds form. Altidore hasn't shown anything in the EPL yet for you or Hull. You should play fletch up top and push Johnson and idk Karlsson to make an front 3. Altidore is strong but so is Shola and Anichebe and quite frankly I wouldn't want them at my team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Altidore is a beast lol. The only thing he beasts is the ball into the stands.

Btw: Heskey is much better than Altidore could ever be. Remember Heskey scored more than 100 Premier League goals.

Cisse's career record is around a goal every 2 games, and when he scores them does he ever score them. Cisse will no doubt win at least 1 goal of the month over the season, and will do double figures. Cisse has broken double figures in both seasons with us, and he did not even have a full season when he first arrived.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you criticise Altidore when you don't watch the games, or are you secretly a Sunderland Fan

As a fan who has seen every game so far, he is very very good
He is fantastic at holding the ball up and playing the wingers into the game, he has a class shot as well, out of nothing yesterday had blasted the ball from miles out and the goalie to well to stop it, Sagna had two yards on him yesterday, got beside him, Sagna had his arms wrapped round his neck, brushed him aside and put the ball in the net from a tight angle, he does all that so he is sh*t
But Cisse on the other hand is great, I mean come on he is not interested in the game, he will just tiptoe away from the ball and when he does get the ball he just gets brushed off it like a kid

Agree0 Disagree0

OHHHH double figures, fletcher did that by Christmas but got injured
Altidore (apparently sh*t) got over bloody 30, before you say out, Bony played in the same league and you we desperate to sign him

Agree0 Disagree0

I support Newcastle and I can settle this dispute. Both Altidore and Cisse are terrible

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a fan of both Newcastle and Sunderland because I like to see all teams in my local area succeed and I will settle this dispute FAIRLY

Both are good,
Altidore,
He's an amazing work horse, super strong, great at holding the ball up, aggressive, a team player, can score and can surprisingly pass, but I thought it would be a risk bringing him back to the big time with his past with Hull, would he need an extra 2 years away but what iv seen of him so far I was wrong, he wants to be involved and knows where the goal is

Cisse
A fantastic poacher, can score from different angles and distances, in the right place at the right time, not afraid to shoot (plenty of goals for Newcastle so far), so an all round goalscorer, but for me he doesn't have the desire, he doesn't sprint after the ball when it's a poor pass, if he loses it he doesn't try to get it back, and is easily pushed off the ball

I'd give them both a solid 7. 5/10

However, Stephen Fletcher is the best out of the 3,

Agree0 Disagree0

Good and fair post Newcastle fan

Absolutely shafted today.

1-2 down Altidore through on goal, Sagna pulls him back, but Altidore goes on to score.

Should've been advantage played, goal allowed, red card given to Sagna, game 2-2 and Arsenal down to ten men.

What actually happened, ref blew up for a foul, didn't apply the advantage, gave Sunderland a free kick, Sagna stayed on. Terrible reffing.

It was an advantage because he scored so ref has no excuses, Sagna should of been off as it was a goalscoring opportunity, he scored.

If this happened at the other end Arsenal would of been given the advantage.

Arsenal were class first half BUT Sunderland got themselves back into the game, Arsenal wasted chances, Sunderland at 2-2 with the extra man and crowd behind them would of won I feel. A game of two half's. First half Arsenal, second Sunderland also First half Ozil man of the match for Arsenal, second the ref.

Its easy to see why the big clubs finish at the top, they get these decisions every week.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree except it would only have been one or the other if the ref had got it right.

If he allows the goal then its not a red because a goal scoring opportunity hasn't been denied. So its one or the other.

But either would obviously made a significant impact on the game. After the second half I came away with more positives than I ever did after our victories under Oneil.
