Not a rumour just a worried Sunderland fan I thin cuellar and Saha good free signings but now the club really need to splash the cash 1 maybe 2 strikers proper left back and attacking midfielder so c'mon Sunderland give the fans something to get excited about and stop pissin about we know wolves are takin the piss but if oneil wants fletcher pay the money personally would rather have guddetti and get kenwyn back then Olson and big bid for either Johnson or Milner would also look at Matthew Philips at Blackpool and Jordan rides good buys for future

I think Saha is a step in the right direction especially given that it is only a one year contract. All these people who are harping on about needing a striker who can score 20+ a season. In the last 7 seasons only one player who wasn't in a champions league team has actually managed that.One. The unfortunately just aren't that many about. We have the future of our squad already-Ji Colback Nobleetc. What we need is experience. Saha can bring that-with a couple more signings in the creativity department we will be a force. If you really can't find anything to be cheerfull about in signing Saha-he did score a brace against the mags last season!!

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Here here, most sensible post I've read all week. Lm86

Liverpool might be willing to sell charlie Adam 5-6 mill would be a good signing for us he can pick out a pass creates and scores goals from midfield just what need. {Ed001's Note - he is available for sale, though he doesn't want to leave Liverpool, he will not join Sunderland, like he refused to join Fulham, because he has just got married to a Blackpool lass who wants to stay near her family. Hence the Everton rumours, it is highly unlikely he will leave the north west this year. His preference is to stay and fight for his place at Liverpool.}

Not going to renew my season ticket at the moment. Something needs to be done in the transfer market. I've been a season ticket holder for 25 years. Also 12 away games per season. They aren't as committed as me in the club at the moment. Start signing or I won't be the only one. See how you get to Europe Mr Short, with 22,000 every week & no quality players.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

I agree mate ive had my season ticket for 13 years now and i get sick of seing the same thing every year 15th 16th 13th 10th 13th its not good newcastle been back in the prem for 2 years and this year they are all debating wether they can try for the title what is our main aim as usual avoid relegation get in top half try not to get beat off newcastle short keep your word to the supporters quality not quantity

Agree1 Disagree3

Obviously not a real fan then. still 2 weeks of transfers to be done. no one signing many players yet. get your ticket and support the lads.

Agree2 Disagree1

Probably not a season ticket holder anyway.
Amazing how many miserable people there are out there. Do they realise it is treatable?
True fans hope for the best and do not bemoan the past.

Jeez.

Agree2 Disagree1

To the so called 'fans' who have had season tickets for a million years: you will have had season tickets in the proper dark days when we crashed out of the premier league with (at that time) record low points. Now under MON who we've wanted as manager for years and has had half a season you're saying you won't renew your season ticket, are you a real person??? Saha is on a 1 year contract, lets see how he does, MON ain't the sort of manager who would go from bidding for Steven Fletcher to giving a contract to Saha, look at MON past record, SAFC till I die, we're going in the right direction.

Agree4 Disagree0

To all the fans who have had a season ticket for 25 yrs, how the hell are you sick now when the club has been in the premier league for 5 seasons now, we have a manager who will bring success

Agree0 Disagree0

Can all the 25 year season ticket brigade, give there heads a shake, as your 1st years would have been in third division, so youre either deluded or just got out of jail, we have signed so many average players, and been stuck with them on wage bill, over the last 5 seasons, and we know have a manager who will buy players
that will improve or add experience to squad, and we need to let the manager get on with it, rather than be changing team every year, paying silly wages to average players on 4 yr deals, who arent arsed, good managers build teams, develop youth and buy players that will fit into his system, you have to at least give him 3 yrs, so he can add, sell and mold young players, then you dont rely on individuals, alex ferguson won 1 cup in his first 3-5 yrs with man utd buying different players and man utd won nothing then he blended youth and experience, which brought success which enabled quality to be bought which could fit in with his team, im not saying we will challenge man utd, but we will improve and attract players, who want to play, if you are twisting after 8 months about MON, you should go and support some other team, as you havent got a clue.

Agree0 Disagree0

22,000? I thought that was your average attendance anyways?

Talk sport got us to win league cup, unlikely but if we get a few decent draws then we could be in with a shot. Safc93

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Mag in peace. Not trying to put you down, but I wouldn't believe much Talksport says - take one look at their transfer rumours and you know they don;t have a clue what they're on about. Although I do think you lot could have chance of winning it as well as us and pretty much any prem team cos the top teams generally throw bench warmers and youth on in those fixtures.

looks like modric going to madrid. hope we play hard ball with spurs when they come calling for sess. accept nothing less than 20m or cash plus players(defoe huddlestone lennon) for example

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I think they will see Sigurdsson as Modrics replacement

Agree0 Disagree0

If they come calling try and get all 3

Dear oh dear. What are we doing signing Saha? A 34 year old crock. He was good a few years ago, but come on?

Believable1 Unbelievable5

16 Aug 2012 08:50:58
saha to score 12 next season, looked at his stats and his record is pretty much 1 in 3. Safc93

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Yes because he will definitely play around 36 games won't he. The guy has been crocked for years. Another desperate signing for Dad's Army!

Agree1 Disagree3

If he stays fit, I hope he does but I doubt he will.

Agree1 Disagree1

Hes played over 309 games in last 10 yrs, scoring 111, not bad for a crock ,which is more than, games than owen, van persie, simple fact give him chances he will score,he is a good player to bring on the young forwards for a year, and speaks french like sess so might work. if not cost a lot less than stokes, murphy, connolly, flo.lelandes, the swede and many other before them. how many thought oh no when quinn arrived, and got crocked asap, stop playing fa manager and come back in the room.

Can people stop putting things like "done deal" on this site. There are no "done deals" at SAFC. It's all lies. We've been too slow in the market and we're too cheap. We will end up with Saha and Heskey up front. The sad thing is that because we are so desperate, we'll accept those 2 and pretend they are good signings. What a let down this summer has been.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Saha to sign done deal (Fact)

Take a pill.
