So less than eighteen hours to go until we start all over again.
There used to be a fanzine in the 1990s called IT'S THE HOPE I CAN'T STAND! but for some strange reason something [AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT] tells me Sunderland are about to click. I am both excited and terrified at the prospect of what is about to unfold.
Whatever happens there is one thing ONE UNDERMINING THING and that is Sunderland are, always have been and always will be a FABULOUS FOOTBALL CLUB to follow. With everything that goes on both good and bad for better and for worse Sunderland AFC are probably the most colourful club in English Football and despite only one trophy in nearly eighty years statistics still have the club as the sixth most successful club [behind Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton and Aston Villa] in the history of the game in terms of Championships won. Remember also Sunderland remain unique as the ONLY club to have the word ASSOCIATION in its official name.
There will be good days and not so good days and hopefully far more better good days than not so good days, but whatever happens sing your hearts out and, strain every sinew giving THE LADS every last ounce of effort in your support. Remember as Supporters we have few equals and certainly no betters. Stand proud, sing loud and let's do our part and make the coming season memorable.

Ha'way the lads

Agree0 Disagree0

That was heart felt! I for one had tears in my eyes lol.
Mind you, if the tech guy in Champions sports bar, Paynes Bay, Barbados doesn't find the live stream in time tomorrow morning, I'll be crying into my rum punch.
Ha way the lads!

Agree0 Disagree0

Amen to that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said to that can I get an AMEN? HA'WAY THE LADS!

Agree0 Disagree0

What a good read that was and very very heart felt

HA'WAY THE LADS

SUNDERLAND TIL I DIE

(P. S. is AFC Bournemouth not association though, if i'm wrong shoot me down and I apologise greatly)

Agree0 Disagree0

You will have tears in your eyes when PDC goes crazy, you get relegated and we batter you in your own backyard this season.

C'mon the Fulham!

Agree0 Disagree0

'Click' is misprint for 'crack'.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - It took you 24 hours to think of that line...}

I hope and I believe we will win but it will be extremely tough, they have a good team, let's hope it goes as well as last time and we win 3-0

well, about 18hrs till the curtain raiser, I've looked on sky sports and reading what the so called experts are thinking the score will be, and they are not very optimistic about our chances, anyway we shall see, I reckon they just don't want us to be any good, main culprit was cockney pillock merson, my daughters got a higher iq, and she is ten. tk73

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It will go perfect or it will all fall through
It's 50/50

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah merson is a dick absolutely hates us for some reason

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody likes n. e teams or dicanio

Agree0 Disagree0

So what did Merson predict - 0-1? Win for Fulham? Mackems to huff and puff, flatter to deceive, no end product? Altidore a triumph of blind hope over experience? Larsson a waste of space? Supporters talking up another failure as some kind of success?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - You again......you must hold the record for posts in a day and you are B&W .....unless ......is this obsession for Sunderland in response to the inertia at Newcastle ?}

16 Aug 2013 20:35:44
I would like to say a big thanks to (sir) elis short and pdc and all the backroom staff for the big changes to our club, we desperately needed something to happen!
Not sure how this season will pan out but feel like we're finally heading in the right direction.
Good luck to all the players we know you can take us into that top 10!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ellis Short is the unsung hero, he done everything for us, we could at least give him a song!

Agree0 Disagree0

The fat man up the road gets a lot of stick (rightly) but what has Short really done for your (his) club? Not exactly splashed the cash, has he? How many brilliant managers is it so far? Four? Five? Advised by Niall Quinn, who got out when the going got tough?
Sold your best players (Bent, Mignolet) appointed Mussolini? You call us deluded ( OK, we can be, a bit) but he hasn't exactly brought great success to SOL, hashe?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Again - you definitely hold the record now)

16 Aug 2013 18:48:17
It's starting to feel like people are just throwing names out in desperation now

Believable0 Unbelievable0

A lot of these posts are coming from the Sid James mob, take no notice of them, too daft for words.

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you think the score will be tommorow ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - I think it will be tight but would take Sunderland to win 2-1.}

Most of the New season review articles I have read are predicting The Lads to be in a Relegation Battle and PDC to be one of the first manages to get the push. Highest finish 17th. With saying we have to many own proven players, a week defence and not enough playmakers and skilled players to turn a game.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

These critics are just sayin we are the new QPR
What they don't see is that QPR players only came for the money and Mark Hughes is a crap manager who didn't know what he was doing
Whilst Di Canio has set out with a plan, and forced the players to bond, before the revolution we lost 1-0 to spurs, after it we win 3-1
coincidence? I think not

Agree0 Disagree0

Oshea brown dikite roberge all internationals plus cuellar, and colback played lb plenty times celutska u21 at rb no inexperience there my friend. Johnson giaccherrini and sess have the skill to turn a game

Agree0 Disagree0

Yahoo in its editorial thinks we'll finish 10th, personally 16 or higher would be fine with me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just proves that the southerners hate us! boy will they be proved wrong!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland, Hull, Palace and Cardiff seem to be the 4 most popular picks to go down.

Norwich and Stoke outsiders.

Hull only came up via luck, they will be made into mince meat in the Premier League.

I think Cardiff are going to be better than people are expecting.

Agree0 Disagree0

You could look pretty sick if Agent Bruce keeps Hull up, while you go down as predicted. But don't worry, even a Mag thinks you'll stay up. My gut instinct is that by the end of the season West Brom will miss Lukaku, and them plus any two of the promoted teams will face the drop. But you'll be worried in the new year and still finish behind us.

Does anyone have any idea who this playmaker is because I'm clueless

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree0 Disagree0

Milner is class

Looks like Liverpool are getting Aly Cissokho now after all. I need to stop believing what I read on Sky Sports

Believable0 Unbelievable0

16 Aug 2013 11:19:37
What is it about SAFC and left backs? We can never seem to get a decent one over the line! Cissoko never wanted to come so good riddance but ha way Sunderland, left back has been our problem for too many years now!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Danny Rose would be the icing on the cake just have to hope Spurs sign a lb before the window closes then we'll be thanking god we missed out on all the other targets.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

2-0 or 3-1

Agree0 Disagree0

You can get evens on Celtic to beat Aberdeen away this weekend. That looks like a good punt to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Better bet. us to finish in top 10and the skunks to get relegated. good double.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland 1-0 Fulham
Sessegnon 90+3penalty

Agree0 Disagree0

Went for sunderland to win 2-0 fingers crossed we get off to a good start and 50 quid in my pocket wouldn't be too bad haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I know now never to bet on a Mackem's tip. I mean suggestion.

This might sound a bit far fetched but since Rooney wants to leave and PDC is looking for a good Creative midfielder, we should stick a 30m bid in, he played decent in that role most of last season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You're right it does sound farfetched.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ur right it does sound far fetched

Agree0 Disagree0

About as far fetched as it gets! Hope this is a post from a mag, if it's not just stop it! reality check please.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats a skunk post he's already on there page tryin to make us sound as deluded as them lot

Agree0 Disagree0

Overrated and overpaid.
Only the Mags fall for crap like that.
They will be saying that we are chasing him so they can take the pee.
Pathetic.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't pay 30p for the scouse person

Ssn reports that Cissokho has finalised a loan move to Liverpool

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good, never wanted him, if he don't want to play for us he can fu*k right off

Agree0 Disagree0

''Good, never wanted him, if he don't want to play for us he can fu*k right off''

There isn't a player in the world would choose Sunderland over Liverpool.

Strange how Newcastle have had players choose us over Liverpool.

That must be because we are a bigger club than you.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Of course you have ...Remy was top of their shopping list.}

Adam Johnson

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol ooohhh ed just owned u my skint skunk friend, is eto on his way minus his 300k to join u muppets lol. ohh there is another target gone, bents at fullham ohh and ddnt he choose us over u :-)

Agree0 Disagree0
