Use our rumours form to send us sunderland transfer rumours.

Is dick playing mind games regarding watmore, or, is he just against using youths. Saying that he probably won't use him from the start. "Starting a game is totally different, he might not have the same impact". Is this lad ever going to get a chance under dick. He is head and shoulders above any of our other strikers and does that rare thing at sol called scoring. Wake up dick and start the lad. Graham, defoe and fletcher are shite. Watmore and mandron are a better bet. Our youngsters will have to leave sol to get a chance of first team football. Everything about sunderland right now is so wrong. Lawrie McMenemy era all over again.

I would like to make a note on the interview Dick Advocaat was recently involved in. When asked about us turning and chanting against Ellis Short, following the lines of "Are you watching Ellis Short", Dick said he has to blame himself.

Now, I believe he knew what he was doing stating that he blames himself, it is a common thing myself would do, being a teenager to put pressure on the opposing person to feel guilty and sorry. Hence I believe, he was intending for Short to feel sorry for him, resulting in more money to be spent.

Also, I would like to make a slight comment on the article posted by 'The S*n, which reinforces our lack of spending, stating that we our 'out of money'. We're clearly trying to be frugal but I think that's to balance the books due to debt, not because we are actually skint. Clearly, we're trying to be fugal though that's likely to balance the books due to debt, 'not' because we are actually skint. Ellis can't hide the fact that he has money, with his net worth totaling to a figure just high of $6bn, after those two performances we are never going to be able to attract anyone here along with the current state considering the deadwood, so why not show some optimism and ambition that we want to go and progress, we want to get rid of the deadwood, and release them from the contracts, obviously those who we wouldn't still be paying for once they had officially left us. Yes, it would cost money, but not a large amount of money, by doing this we would encourage players to come here, by showing that we don't want to be in and around these positions of such a great league. Anyway, sorry for the spam, I just thought I would leave my verdict to make up for my lack of posting.

I also have a seemingly brief description I came up with about Ellis Short, though it says a lot in all honesty.

Short has pockets, he has small players in them, and money in them, though he always opts against the obvious.

That is in dollars. I have no idea if it is true but that is his reported net worth. Just reinforces that the money is available

Yet cannot be spent, ffp rules, maxed wage bill, he could buy the entire brazilian starting 11 & still couldn't pay them. Our wage bill is so high it's unreal, the amount we spend for what we earn is crippling. People keep saying omg xx team is spending why can't we. That's why, we don't have the income, wages or money to pay them.

Mainly because those we do have are mercs & final payday types, the few players we do have who are good may as well not be playing with the shower of junk most of our old timers do on the pitch.

When will the club learn that signing players on free transfers and for small amounts of money (1-3 million) are just going to be deadwood. These players we sign should not be on high wages but the club offer them sky high wages and the board scratch their heads. If we pay off their contracts we will bring in more deadwood. Rare chance that bargains come good. We will never learn.

Anyone else agree?

They had to give them the stupidly high wages or they wouldn't have came in the first place. That should have been the first warning sign. Too many mercs after a pay day at the end of their careers along with a bunch of never been good enough's who still think they are. We don't have the financial ability to change anything now, not till half our team is gone & then with the firm hope that bunch of morons don't infect the few good players we actually have.

If the reports in this morning's news papers are true then we needn't worry about spending so little on more deadwood moneygrabbers it seems that the club is skint! As much as I hate to say it our club is pretty much in desperate straights, this will take years to put right and relegation seems inevitable,to be honest from what I.'ve seen over the last three season's of struggle we wouldn't make the top ten in the championship!Dark days ahead for all fans of the club

I was never a fan of whickham but how could he be sold without even having a replacement.they could have asked for dwight gale be included in the deal, he's better than any forward we have. It's all a total mess. I can't get my head around how congerton and the rest of his team are working???? I'm stumped and gobsmacked of such ineptness
