As a mag I find it utterly disgusting what happened to rose last night, I hope the serbian FA get hit massivly with a fine and even worse, racism has no place in football (or anywhere) and I hope the lad can get over it quickly, although I wont be singing his name so to speak on sunday he will have my full support. Geordie Jonty

Serbian fa have denied everything mate and they said rose kicked it all off. Thanks for your support. Safc93

That's a joke that mate, trying to slime their way out of trouble when everyone who watched could hear the fans during warm up never mind the game absolute disgrace and hope they get banned but not with blatter involved it will just be pushed aside as normal. Geordie jonty {Ed003's Note - I was gobsmacked watching it,some of our players will be reprimanded because of retaliation(I don't agree with that btw) but punches were thrown, end of the day in my opinion UEFA have the perfect opportunity to come down hard on racism and ban Serbia,there response was abhorrent,I still can't believe they are trying to defend themselves, unreal}

All they will get is a 20-40k fine and a dont do it again slap on the wrist.how many times does this have to happen before a country is banned from competitions,after all its not just serbia its most eastern bloc europeans living in the 1930s,even spain have previous.ive been supporting football and safc for 30 years and i have to say how brilliant fans have become in this country not tolerating any racist behaviour the last 10-15 years and long may it continue,its just sad that other countries dont share the same beliefs.tk73

Agree1 Disagree0

Completly agree ED about not condoning violence, but you have to think it was going on all game and then you're head would go just out of anger and frustration, and aree with tk73 about them countries being stuck in the old ages it really angers me that players turn up to do their job and get horrific treatment based on skin colour, back to ED hope serbia will get banned as I believe that will be the only way to end racism. Geordie jonty {Ed001's Note - unfortunately Serbia will probably get nothing more than a slap on the wrists, when they are a disgrace. They have been amongst the worst nations in Europe since they were formed as an independent nation in 2006. If UEFA have any balls they will give them a lengthy ban.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Completely agree ED but we all know UEFA don't have any balls, if it was me they would be banned for life as i detest racism with a passion there is no way in any situation where it is necessary in sport or life in general. Geordie jonty {Ed001's Note - if it was the other way round, England were the guilty party, I guarantee they would be thrown out for years.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah I can see where you're coming from it would be a massive statement to bring a huge footballing nation (england) to its knees so to speak and ban them but if it was england fans in this situation then I wouldnt oppose it happenning but with UEFA hating england anyway therell probably get more of a punishment for the punches thrown than the racism from the serbians which is ridiculous to say the least. Geordie jonty

Agree1 Disagree0

If England did this we would be banned.

Disgraceful what happened to rose last night. We need to get behind him on sunday and show we support him to keep his head in the game. Safc93

Theres only one danny rose!

Toon fan here, what happened last night To danny rose and other members of the under21 team absolutely appalling. Don't hold your breath about Platini doing anything. Past history shows that Uefa don't take racism seriously.Serbian fans caused a match to be stopped due to a riot in Italy last year and were told if you do it again, severe sanctions will be imposed. Don't hold your breath. I am just pleased the team and staff are uninjured it could have been much worse

Agree3 Disagree0

Agreed. Thats from a Toon fan. But i won't be getting behind him on Sunday.
