Cabral has just Proved PDC's point
He is having an absolute stinker tonight for the U21s, he's 24, so for all those people who was slating PDC for dropping him, calling him an person and saying he's list the plot
Believable0
Unbelievable0
What does that say for PDC and his eye for a player, what are the other 13 going to be like then.
Agree0
Disagree0
He had 2 good games
That obviously means he's class
Agree0
Disagree0
He was brilliant against fulham but has been terrible other games, looking forward to seeing catts with ki, gards and ki looked like a good partnership as well, even giach and catts or giach and ki in centre would be cool
Agree0
Disagree0
Cabral can't be to blame for the result daft lad his 1 of 11 playing also Liverpool had 5 or 6 first team players on the field including England international sterling who can make most defenders in the epl look very poor.
Agree0
Disagree0
He didn't move, he just daudled around in the centre, poor passing, not tracking back
Agree0
Disagree0
Yet everyone blames O'Shea for the Crystal Palace defeat
Agree0
Disagree0
Of course it was oshea's fault at palace, an experienced defender like him should not be making challenges like that!

YES!
CATTERMOLE IS BACK
We will be much better with him in the side
I hate it when people say "10 men for 80 mins then"
2 red cards in the last 50+ apps ain't awful, some people go on as it it's every game
PDC will bring the best out of him

GREAT NEWS! COME ON THE CATTS!
Agree0

Catts and ki will do well, but think Giach as our playmaker with catts or cabral or Ki and mavrias on the left would be good
Agree0
Disagree0
Don't gloss over Cattermole's poor discipline and lack of skill. People keep saying 2 red cards in 50 games ain't bad.
Actually its 5 reds in 80 odd appearances for Sunderland but that's not all. He's had 34 yellows in the same period. That means 5 bans plus 11 bans for the yellows. So 16 bans means he could have played a further 48 games!
All this is due to his tackling. Badly timed and he always goes to ground. Giving away free kicks in dangerous areas. O'Neill tried to train this out of him but failed. In return he went on a night out and vandalised 5 cars.
When he does play he passes no more than 5 yards sideways or back and never makes forward runs or attacks goal, hence his goal tally of ZERO for us. Not good enough in this league and a poor return for our £6M investment.
We are moving forward now and Catts is old news, hopefully Hull will take him off our hands in January.
Agree0
Disagree0
He's normally our best player
Results are proven to be better for us when he's on the field, need I say anything else
Agree0
Disagree0
Cattermore is vastly UNDERRATED. He's energy drive and the opposition hate him. He's had injury problems. A fully fit Cattermole is our best midfielder.
Cattermole does the dirty work that allows our flair players to shine.
Agree0
Disagree0
People say he let the team down with his suspensions & injuries but he actually a great team player
People complain that he hasn't scored for us yet, that's because he never gets forward but he is actually helping the team by staying back, his purpose in the team is to make sure every player is on task, to break up play and to stop the oppositions attackers having a run at our defence.
When we attack we tend to attack in numbers, 2 forwards, 2 wingers and the other Midfielder tends to arrive late (Ki will do this often), if Catts were to attack as well what happens if they win it back and one pass and 3/5 of our outfield players are out of the game, we will be fuc*ed
When we attack Catts pretty much joins the back 4 and stops a counter attack, even if it is by fouling a player, there is such thing as a good foul, I would rather them to have a free kick at the half way line rather than all of there attackers swamping our box.
The 1st half against Arsenal we desperately needed him, they were passing rings round us why?cos their midfielders wasnt under any pressure, we needed Catts to be kicking the sh*t out of them so they couldn't do this, second half we were good because he brought Gardner on and did this an was class but that is quite possibly a one off, I think PDC has realised this too otherwise he probably wouldn't have had this heart to heart conversation with him, he doesn't need to be able to do these super accurate 30 yard passes, all he should do is pass it to the wingers so they can take on defenders or just knock a 10 yard pass to Ki so he can be the playmaker (this is his purpose and what he was got for)
People don't realise what he gives our side, he just needs to settle down a bit
Agree0
Disagree0
Cattermole always gives 100% and we need him in the team.
Agree0
Disagree0
I've always thought catts gives away too many fouls because he is too slow for some players but he gives his all and scares even the likes of yaya toure but under paulo and his training I'm thinking catts may just have that extra hal a yards pace now and should be quality
Agree0
Disagree0
Concedes too much posession and too many free kicks. A liability on the pitch, an embarassment off the pitch, and if the rumours page is to be believed he may be a devicive influence in the dressing room. If he's the best we've got we need to set our sights higher.
Agree0
Disagree0
Who gives a sh*t what he's like outside football, apparently the other lad on the rumours page says he's a top lad that likes J2O's
For me, he is very good when he plays
The fact is
WE HAVE BETTER RESULTS WHEN HE PLAYS
how can you argue with that?
Agree0
Disagree0
So everythings going to be ok, with one average player being cattermole back in the side?
Agree0
Disagree0
He isn't average man, support ya bloody players and manager FFS
Your no better than the looney toon
Agree0
Disagree0
Ffs we have had a bad start to the season so catts is going to be our saviour how many on here said he wasn't good enough for the team and we should have shipped him out to hull or wigan even on loan to boro. I for one wrote on here in the summer that a fit and disciplined Cattermole is as good as any player we have having stated stated that when he played we had a % of just over one goal conceded in a game yet when he didn't start we conceded closer to 2 goals a game. yes I do believe that cats will make our team a lot stronger and hard to beat but we need to have a settled side the players need to know who they are playing alongside each week and also people should realise that players will have bad games during the season but that doesn't mean they are bad players let's hope pdc who I want to see succeed get the team he wants and gelled together or it is going to be a hard long season ahead lads
Agree0

There's no way Catts will get back in this team unless he turns his game around. big style! Giving away free kicks, commiting 'good fouls' and 'kicking the sh*t out of the opposition' is Sunday League stuff. We need a strong box to box midfielder who will boss the game. He needs to be creative when we have the ball and defensive when they have it.
Di Canio is being clever, he offers Catts a lifeline to provide competition which will spur on the other midfielders such as Cabral. If this works, great. If Catts comes up with the goods and proves to be better, great. Either way it's a win/win situation.
And I say this in support of the manager and the players, I want the best team we can muster out there on the pitch winning every game.

Has anyone seen the Vital Swindon town site tweet about Paulo Di Canio gives disturbing reading. it says that PDC virtually bankrupt the club and he fell out with many players and signed one player on a 2 year contract and never played him!. also most of the players were foreign and not good for English football!. it makes one think what have we done hiring this guy? you hope and think he would have learned about not signing british players for the premiership 1 I hope hell get it right but I now have my doubts!. and if he fails where does it leave the owner who hired him?

You lot loved this guy when he was appointed. He was leading you to the promise land. Now you what we have been telling you all pre season. He is a clown on pair with ours and the players he bought are very average at best. Long season for you lot.
Agree0

Yes because a teams coach is responsible for looking after the balance sheets and agreeing contracts. It is the responsibility of the accountants and directors to look after the money. Paulo was responsible for the results on thepitch at Swindon. And no one can argue he was getting them. Its only 4 games in- things will improve. Time is essential.

Paolo Di Canio will always be a hero to Sunderland fans after the 0-3 Demolition Derby. FACT!

Swindon fans are so fickle, he left them in a better position than when he took over, they were top of the league! I think they just being bitter!

Pdc offered to pay £30k out of his own pocket to get some young lad on loan for a season.

This site is riddled with Mags and pessimists.
As far as I am concerned ( and I was one of those opposed to his appointment ) he kept us from certain relegation and therefor has my full support this season.
Give the squad a chance, the signs were there against Arsenal.
