Does anybody agree that the next 12 days will define our season I actually agree with Dicanio we need at least 5 players I know we've spent money but we've also got rid of. Lot of players we've sold Ming for 11 mill also 2 for McLean there will also probably more to leave soon with Vaugn looking favourite I think we should get Maviras at least 1 quality mid a left back and 1 more quality striker as I think if we loose fletch or ALtidore to injury I don't think sess JI or Wickham will get enough goals I know Short has been good but I think we need one more big push before the window shuts what does everyone else think

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't think transfer money is the problem I think we are at the limit of fair play wage bill we need to ship a few out first. ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - That's how i see it}

Not just on the transfer front; having lost Saturday, the games at Southampton and Cardiff are crucial.

Both winnable but equally both tough. No points from three with the run of home games we have coming could set the tone!

"SUPERSTARS"

19 Aug 2013 22:33:47
A moment of silence for our neighbouring superstars who were desperately unlucky in their very promising display tonight, LOL

got to say that the mags looked poor tonight if I were a betting man I would put money on pardew to be the first manager to be sacked and for them to go down with hull and crystal palace

The meltdown on the mags site has begun haha. Seems they have changed their opinions on their world class players. That are not world class after all, apart from krul and they are going to need him this season.

Looking at the newcastle squad it really is the worst in the league, kebab gone, sissoko rubbish, tiote rubbish, arfa inconsistant and does nothing, no width, no creativity, Anita lightweight, defence is shocking. Collocini not interested, Taylor so called England class couldn't get a game for the faroe islands, debuchy is the worst right back in the league, mbiwa shocking.

But Krul is without a doubt world class and they will need him to be all season.

If they buy it will be panic buying and they will get ripped off, if they don't they will finish bottom.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I thought colocini had a decent game, in my opinion apart from krul, colocini and ben arfa they knackered and have a lot of hotheads who will get sent off this season and before the mags saying we obsessed, no! we just enjoy laughing at your comedy circus!

I've been at the driving range in Manchester for the last hour and Joe Hart was in the bay next to me hitting 6 irons - apparently he started tonight's game but wasn't needed after the first 10 minutes! Bingy

Breaking news! A traveling circus have been slaughtered tonight, the 11 clowns and a ventriloquist dummy where butchered in Manchester. eye witnesses said the amateur "football" players were no match for there attackers, some described the scenes as "shocking", the amateur team are now buried at the bottom of the table.

4-0 now, they never let us down, do they. Pardew has had diarrhoea for the past week, his bum must be like a trumpet players lip now, ha ha, Chris-s.

53 mins of game gone, losing 2-0, could have been 4-0, I predict will be bottom of league by end of match. HA

See the comedy continues at Noocarsel. Slapstick at its best. Cheating S. Taylor sent off, 2-0 down after 45 minutes, and more to come, it just gets better. Although I did expect a closer game from 2 top 6 clubs, ha ha. Chris-s.

Although I'm disappointed we lost on Saturday, I'd have been far more worried if we'd played like Fulham got battered all game and just scraped a win, I know they say you shouldn't get beaten through a set piece but I'd be far more worried if that was the only way we could win, the way we played it gave me hope that we're on the right track and we're playing exciting football, after all, PDC is just starting to build his team and we know it's only going to get stronger, faster and a lot better.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Come on Ellis give pdc what he wants. 5 more players!

Quality doesn't have to cost a fortune look at the signings so far, all looked good

Agree0 Disagree0

The are already 2, 0 down and Taylor has been sent off for lashing out a Aguaro after getting away with a hand ball in the box, makes our perfomance Saturday seem not so bad eh?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Our performance was never that bad - Newcastle getting beat off Man City is hardly a surprise but Taylor is embarrassing}

19 Aug 2013 16:45:54
Does the fact we missed out on Osvaldo to a team like Southampton and average teams Like Cardiff and norwhich can attract players like Van Wolfswinkel and Bony mean we are not ambitious enough?. having so many new players doesn't mean that we have quality and that we will not be relegated!. perhaps buying fewer quality players rather than quantity is the right thing to do!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mag troll alert.

Agree0 Disagree0

If sunderland are not ambitious what are newcastle then haha even middlesbrough are more ambitious than newcastle.

First you disrespect our fans by laying your lazy ass on the floor of a casino wasting our hard earned money, then you laugh at the Cats loss to Fulham now Bardsley do one you absolute drain on society and our brilliant football club! I bet your mum and dad look at you and be so proud of a sad mank that can only mock at real footballers not like you from hero to absolute zero! You are a parasite on our club now pack your bags and hit the road TW*T RAW74

Believable0 Unbelievable0

There is nothing wrong with Bardsley having a laugh at Sunderland getting beat by Fulham, everbody else was doing it.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Everyones still laughing - but at a different scoreline.}

I was at the match on Saturday and I have a couple of issues.

First, where was the urgency and attacking in force that PDC has promised? Yes we controlled the play, yes Fulham were terrible and just sat back but after their goal we lacked pace, urgency and drive.

Second, long ball to Altidore. really! We resorted to long balls up front and without a fast striker running around him this was pointless.

Third, Seb Larsson will never be a central midfielder as long as he has a hole in his arse. Good squad player but not a CM.

Fourth, we had two really good free kick opportunities and SL and AJ both hit the wall. Terrible, they should have watched Jozy for the USA to see how it's done.

Finally, why did PDC tale so long to make substitutions and then why such strange ones when he did? Surely Moberg-Karlsson should have came on after 65/70 mins and maybe Ba for SL and not JI and Whckham for the last 5-10mins where they can make no difference anyway.

We basically had a job done on us by Fulham where they came to draw and grabbed a fortunate win. Just hope PDC can learn some tactical astuteness to try and stop this happening again.

On a positive I though Cabral looked like a quality player and Roberge, with the exception of not jumping and challenging for their goal, looked comfortable and controlled. Jozy needs someone around him but his link up play looked good and I think confidence from a goal will set him away. I will reserve judgement on the winger as he showed glimpses each way.

To conclude, we need more pace, we need a fast striker and we are desperate for an creative CM.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You couldn't have put that better mate its nice to see someone was watching the same game as me

Strange that there are no other comments but thanks for your agreement. Thought our fans might have had some more responses, especially those who were there.

PDC to sell Sess to fund a playmaker.

Thoughts on this?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

PDC won't sell Sess, he doesn't want to
But the board might, they have final say
Not too bothered as long as we get a great replacement
