Mon said to ssn he has tabled bids for a number of players and is still waiting to hear back

Believable3 Unbelievable1

This moment really does depend on wether ill renew my season ticket anyone else feel the same?

Agree2 Disagree3

No I don't feel the same. It's called being a fan

Agree4 Disagree1

Im still a fan its just its very expensive to watch the same season over and over again 15th 16th 13th 10th 13th you have to agree its hardly exciting is it?

Agree1 Disagree1

Its o'neills first full season in charge, the new south stand will be rocking so yeah it is exiting.Your just looking for an excuse not to go and you don't need one, either go or dont,if you can afford it but don't go then your a micky mouse fair weather fan.

Agree3 Disagree1

No everyone thought mon was coming in and expecteted big names flooding in with 30 to 40 million getting spent and now that aint happend and never will reality is setting in.

Agree4 Disagree1

I think we should just be grateful we are playing premier league football.
Im as frustrated as anyone with the lack of activity in the transfer market and looking threw the squad its very thin on the ground with quality.
I was hoping mon would have had his business sorted by now and had time to work with the new lads prior to the season starting, i just worry about panic buying and paying well over the odds for mediocre players.

MON confirmed he has placed bids for several players. Fletcher, Hooper, Odemwingie and kenwyne jones are these player. MON wants 2 of these players with Fletcher and Hooper his primary targets.

Believable0 Unbelievable9

And how do u know this your full of it, read what he says properly, he said he would not name names!!!

Agree6 Disagree0

Why dont we add gardner to the deal he'd be closer to home and we would get rid of a average squad player.

Best season fletcher has had is 14 goals for hibs in the mickey mouse league. Never scored more than 12 in championship or prem yet people are saying he is excellent player for this club just what we need. SORRY but what we need is a 20 goal a season player who will not cost us more than double his actuall value. Really starting to worry now with just over 2weeks to start of the season. Mega struggle ahead if fletcher is our main target to "improve" us mad mad

Believable4 Unbelievable4

As a toon fan i agree the probablem you have is the same as most of premier league teams is there aint many 20 goal a season strikers about and the ones that are cost a fortune......k

Agree9 Disagree0

Which strikers scored 20 plus in the premier league last season? Aguero, Van persie & Rooney. We'll put a bid in for one of them shall we.

Agree1 Disagree1

So we shall just pay way over the odds for an average one then eh! muppet. could get kenwyne and odemwingie for that price both as good as fletcher

Agree2 Disagree1

How can you say Jones is as good as Fletcher. Based on what information. Over the last 2 seasons Fletcher averages 1 goal every 2.7 games. Jones averages 1 goal every 5.5 games. Even at Sunderalnd when he was playing regularly it was only 1 every 3.6. Fletchers chance conversion rate last season was 18% exactly the same as Adebayors-better than Suarez,Dempsey,Sturridge, VDV and Torres. Odewingies was only 13.3%. So yes they would be cheaper but you have no grounds on which to say the are as good as fletcher So please if you wish to call me a muppet at least make an argument based on fact. Did you ever actually watch Kenwyne play for Sunderland. 90% of the time he couldn't even be bothered. But it's ok aslong as he has one in 15 where he is unplayable. Fletcher is just what we need to hoover up all those easy chances that we missed last season.

Agree0 Disagree1

12 goals in a season is not 2.7. yes im a season ticket holder so i watched kenwyne. i watched him play up front on his own being forced to chase hoofed balls all over the pitch. put crosses in the box for him and he will score. trust me

Agree1 Disagree0

Firstly I said over the last 2 seasons. Over the last 2 seasons Fletcher has 61 league appearances and in that time has scored 22 league goals. That is one goal every 2.7 games. If you just want to take last season into consideration then it is actually 1 league goal in 2.6 games. The 1 in 5.5 games is at stoke- you're telling me Crouch can bang the goals in at stoke but it's not suited to Kenwyne. On another note Fletchers conversion rate of clear cut chances is 70%- only Lampards is better than that. I've no problem with people in suggesting we can do better than Fletcher. That goes with out saying. But at least then suggest players that are better than him. It's more about the fact that he would fit in perfectly for what we need as a team. Someone who can put away the easy chances that we missed in droves last season...

Im safc through and through but something needs to be done with the wage structure if we are to sign any decent players. Wage cap of 50k a week aint gonna attract any decent players at all. Mon talked of bringing in quality but all he seems to have achieved so far is offer 4m more than the value for an average player. Offer mediocre wages get mediocre players. Mad max

Believable2 Unbelievable4

How do you no wot hes offered ? he has said he is in negotiations wit players so wait nd see nd give him a chance ! apart from qpr nd west ham theres been hardly any activity anywhere ! jarra makem

Agree1 Disagree2

Newcastle have a wage structure basically same as ours!!! ONLY they have a fantastic SCOUTING system that is bringing them gems in ie that new young lad from coventry, looks really good at 18. Im a loyal long time supporter and even i am worried now and lets look at Mon a bit closer, not what i was expecting. safc1973

Agree7 Disagree1

Sometimes mate (toon fan here) u have to look past the managers or big name managers and go for some one who,s never had a chance...we made mistakes with the big managers..daglish,gullit,souness etc and they did not really do out.maybe should of give an up and coming manager a try....never really a mon fan and the good think safc got him as this means the toon will never get him now and same as bruce....

well demba ba,s still there so i guess all the makems who posted he was going how wrong where you..???

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Nope he could still go just for a slightly higher price thats all

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair enough he is still there but how many of you muppet cartoon army fans said he could go. Fickle fans. Safc93

Agree0 Disagree2

Safc93 not as many as you safc fans had pointed out that ashley would sell ba,cabaye, and tiote and krull..then safc would be buying all these big nam,e players for huge fee,s due to mon,s WARCHEST...guess what we all said it aint happing and now safc thats are starting to realise that.

Agree3 Disagree1

Well MON left it far to late now might aswell start looking at the gb womens team might get a better striker there rather than what we are looking at! Going to be a rite mess start of the season

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Haha, you might be right there! agreed if no signings by the end of this week,i will begin to worry,i think we need a minimum 5 new faces.

Agree4 Disagree1

I just want to know wtf is going on if we stay as we are we are going to be relegation fodder

Agree7 Disagree0

You had all been told due to all the funds spent by keane and agent bruce theres not much funds available to mon...you had to sell first which yes you have managed to offload but at huge loss,s...proof is in the pudding cuellar is the only signing and he was free if huge funds where there you would just buy the player as if theres a good player available and they will improve your team you dont mind paying a little more than they are worth....tough season a head and you will be relying on draws and your home games......

Agree8 Disagree0

These hav got 2 b posts put in by mags ! if not hav a word wit yaselves ! mon has already said he is in NEGOTIONS wit players but things take a lot longer these days , theres stil a MONTH b4 the window closes so ffs stop panickin ! jarra makem

Agree3 Disagree5

The post about funds is obviously a misinformed mag,who thinks he knows everything! please justify the huge losses? how do you know what funds are available? and home wins plus away draws would leave us in a good position! misguided bar code

Agree4 Disagree6

Cannot negotiate with players until bids have been accepted unless they are free wich means owen and heskey

Agree1 Disagree4

Not a month till start of season though.....maybe we'll wait till jan window! even the most die hard must admit to hoping to have had some quality signing by now. dont think panic is the right word, more like concern

Agree3 Disagree0

I have no idea what funds safc have but i tell you one thing that mon should know who he is after( or you would of thought so) and you would of went after them.32 days later you have signed 1 player a defender and a poor one at that...i,m not knocking safc i,m just saying its looking like there is not the funds available which 99% of safc thought as we all know mon likes to spend...
