how many fans think the game against the skunks will have a big outcome on the first goal scored. my opinion is if we concede the first i think we can come back and get something out of the game as for us scoring first i can see us going on to score 3 or 4 as being in front this will make the skunks come at us and we will hit them on the break with ease as there back 4 is quiet cumbersun cant wait for this one as i am really confident we will beat them. i would love to have got a ticket for this one as i haven't been to sid james for years but when i have been we came away with a win in the old league cup on pens and when gary rowell scored his hat-trick used to be a lucky ground for me once went with a mate when they played bastia and got destroyed off johnny rep couldn't hide my enjoyment at the 3-1 scoreline. come on sunderland

What an absolute load ov trollop! You have way too much time on your hands. lets be real here, its gonna be a close game and its hard to tell who is gonna win simple as.
Agree2
Disagree3
But we all know newcastle will win again.
Agree3
Disagree6
Jesus kidda. Take a breath. Just a question. You haven't beaten us for years and have taking huge defeats in the past. what is going to change now. Nothing. SMB.
Agree8
Disagree5
Agreed we havent beaten you recently but that was when we had a clueless gutless geordie in charge who was terrified to beat you things will be different this time
Agree2
Disagree1
Terrified to beat us? the players are the ones playing the football! LOL
Agree1
Disagree1
Sick of hearing we had Bruce in charge. blah blah blah. Its the same players. SMB.
Agree2
Disagree1
Confidence changes a team SGB and Bruce lost the plot, look at the affect O'neill had as soon as he came in and we have never looked back, if Chelsea changed their manager right now and got someone decent in then Chelsea would start winning games comfortably
Agree1
Disagree2
Bruce picked players bruce chose formation bruce chose (no) tactics bruce made (baffling) substitutions so yes bruce played his part. hes not here now we are different team start to worry cos we comin for revenge
Agree1
Disagree0
Things are looking good as i have got a ticket for the game just hope i can carry that little bit of luck oops who needs luck to sid james park and see the lads win again
Agree1
Disagree0
You will need more than luck to beat us at SJP. Remind again when the was the last time you beat us there? I remember the 5-1 drubbing we gave you last season also remember your part time fans trying to leave at half time. Stay at home save you the embarrassment. SMB.
Agree1
Disagree2
No steve bruce anymore
Agree2
Disagree0
First and foremost the game is not being played at SJP! Newcastle dont play there anymore and as long as Ash is there you wont be playing there for some considerable time! This will really be for a considerable time as no one is paying out big money for clubs at the moment and Ash will not sell till he gets all the money he lent you back. Which in the present climate will take some doing. So stop living in the past and sounding even more like divies!!! Sheeeeesh! you stupid Mags dont even know the name of your own ground.
Another point, this Sunderland team is a lot different tot ht Sunderland team you have met previous. It may not be a drubbing but I think we will still beat you convincely. Go on any forum or read any column. No team is confident about playing us the way we are playing at the moment and if you mags know anything about football you wont be either..... Good luck for the game and lets hope its a goodun and no trouble!

heres part of a statement put on the arsenal banter pages by a lad who was at the game on saturday lads.
Today I wake up after what felt like travelling for days to watch Arsenal be shown how to play football by Sunderland. Yes, Sunderland. The team that seemed to be heading for the drop just before Christmas. Not only was this result bad it came on the back of a heavy 4-0 defeat to an average AC Milan.
quite a few posts on there site thinking we played well.
Believable1
Unbelievable2
Yeah and one saying we were lucky dirty and they should have had 2 pens still i suppose theres always one and a few jealous skunks
Agree2
Disagree2
Well if an arsenal fan said it then it must be true! have a word with ya self smb
Agree1

We are not jealous of you makems! were above you, bigger than you, always beat you.

Alaways???????????????

What a loads of S**t. Arsenal play world class football without getting the results.. Scumberland play kick and rush. Huge difference. Making stuff up is clutching at straws to big your little team up. SMB.
Agree2
Disagree2
If there football was world class they would not be conceding 6 goals in 2 games
Agree1
Disagree1
So Arsenal don't play quality football. Second only behind Barca for their ability to pass the ball. Typical MACKEM knows nothing other that kick and rush.
Agree3
Disagree1
Just coz arsenal pass it about doesn't mean they playing good football every game, its the worst arsenal team in years, they low on confidence, half them have given up and their defence is rubbish, SGB sunderland are one of the best counter attackiong teams in the league and thats what O'neill makes us play against the big teams, Kick and Rush is more Stokes game or Newc9st1es game!
Agree1
Disagree2
If we are talking about this season then no they do not play world class football. Perhaps in seasons gone by but not this season. If it is not getting results then it cannot be that good. Most of Arsenals defeats are caused by there own mistakes-again this means they are not playing very well. Have only once seen a pass or piece of skill this season by an arsenal player that has made me go wow. That was Songs pass to Van persie and his subsequent goal. Everytime I watch Barce I get that feeling at least 2 or 3 times a game. The are a mere shadow of the team that could once be put in the same bracket as Barcelona.
Agree1
Disagree1
Just because you don't get the right results doesn't mean you don't play good football. Swansea are mid table and play some of the best football in the league, along side Arsenal. Blinkered.
Agree2
Disagree1
The skunks are just a one man team stop him and thats it just like a second class£ent
Agree1
Disagree1
Arsenal passed it around . At 2-0 we were happy to let them and keep them in the middle 1/3. If they want to play like that let them, lol.
Agree1
Disagree0
There is a vast difference between playing good football and playing world class football.
Agree0
Disagree0
I never said Arsenal didn't play good or even excellent football or that they weren't one of the best teams in the league. I said they don't play world class football in response to a previous post. World class is used too freely in the modern day game. World class means a cut above everyone else, a team that can come up against any team in the world and give a good account of themselves. Can you honestly say that about this Arsenal side? Their recent results prove that you can't. Everyone knows they aren't playing well at the moment.

Robert Plant (ex Led Zeppelin singer and massive Wolves fan) is gutted former Sunderland manager has been sacked from wolves. this according to a Newcastle sorce .
the same article goes on to slag off Sting for not supporting his own native club. The person writer of this piece is under the illusion that because Sting is from Gateshead he should be a Mag supporter? Gateshead was historically in Durham not Tyne side or Northumbria. Sting is and always has been a Sunderland supporter. On his "This Is Your Life" on TV many years ago members of one of his earlier bands mention this as the rest of that band were Mags!
The audacity of the Mags really has no bounds. They,ll be claiming Brian Ferry,John Miles and Dave Stewart next! You can keep your person shouty fattie little fella from ACDC though, he's not a patch on the original lad Bon Scott (RIP) who was class .
Believable0
Unbelievable1
You can keep all the mentioned Z list stars. You need them to fill your empty seats. Saying that you also need the population of a small town for the rest of the gaps. SMB.
Agree3
Disagree1
Think you might want to re-read your article before passing judgement on the audacity of Toon fans. It makes no reference to the writer being a supporter of Newcastle just says that Sting should support the Toon. Obviously the writer is an intelligent person to understand which team is better for Sting to support. Before using the copy and paste option, you should read the article carefully. SMb.
Agree3
Disagree1
Why should he support the Toon? You Loon! (see what I did there?)
My whole point was Sting is from Gateshead, Not Scumcastle!
Agree0
Disagree2
Why is Scumcastle a better team for Sting to support, He is and always has been a Sunderland Supporter!
Agree1
Disagree2
Who cares?
Agree3
Disagree0
Regardless of what the 3rd poster said, the original article which i was referring to was implying that Sting should support the Scum , that was the audacity to which I referred too. Sting , once again , is from Gateshead. Who cares , maybe not many. The post I made on here was to highlight just another example of Jawdeeeee propaganda by the SGB
By the way did you see Jawdeeeee Tom (or is it Ginger Tom?) on the Mag site spitting the dummy out and the ed putting the wally in his place!
Agree3
Disagree5
Geordie propaganda would suggest that the writer is a Newcastle fan. It doesn't say anywhere in your cut and paste statement that this is the case. So it is not Geordie propaganda is it!! Jsut suggesting sting should support the best team in the North East. SMB.
Agree7
Disagree2
Suggesting he should support a team due to his geographical "Home town was what the original article alluded too! Gates head has 1,000's of Sunderland fans. This was the Hypocritical nurture of the article. It is a matter of record that Sting grew up a Sunderland supporter!
Agree0
Disagree1
Last post. I understand you want to sound intelligent but the wording you use does not collaborate this. Gates head? 1,000's?? Nurture?? My point was that the original post stated the " audacity of the mags " which suggested the writer of the article is a Newcastle fan. The article does not in any way suggest this. Merely stating that he/she feels that sting should support Newcastle.
Agree1
Disagree0
Not a Newcastle fan? it was on the Newcastle United official site , Last post!
Agree0

I dont do dummys not like your sh..e team...you come on wor side spouting off about where your from dont think you've ever been to sunderland in your life ...oh may'be your grandads from sunderland...i really think you need to read posts that are put on before you come on bigging your self up on here dont really think the real sunderland fans wanna listen to your ramblings...dont think ed put me in my place ...but like i said you talk crap ...geordie tom
Agree0

I take that back about the remark i made about your team...i was getting at the bloke who puts jawdeees in...just to let you know m8 my name aint wally its tom...same name i put on my posts ...geordie tom

I think if you google sting ( gordon matthew thomas sumner ) born 2nd of october 1951 in wallsend newcastle upon tyne not gateshead...so to me makes him a geordie...geordie tom

Think you will also see that sting is a newcastle fan ...geordie tom

His band didnt seem to think so. They use to call him for being a Sunderland fan!

Ellis Short leaves Sunderland with immediate effect to spend more time with his racing pigeons'.
This comes on the same day Neil Quinn left the black cats to spend more time with his horses'.
Believable2
Unbelievable5
He leaves Sunderland in a fantastic position , the club is flying and structurally and financially sound. We thank him with all our hearts and are proud of him for what has achieved and he is a wonderful human being. Even the mags (if you are a genuine football fan) couldnt say anything less. The same way we admired and liked Bobby Robson the Mags must feel the same about our Nial
Agree3

Before the Tax man decends on them
Agree2
Disagree2
The taxmans first port of call will be up the road as he is wondering where the money from andy carrol has gone along with all the deluded sgbs who keep saying we still have 35mill to spend
Agree1
Disagree2
We have more than you to spend that all we know and that is through shrewd business in the transfer market. Why do you think Quinn has left. The money has dried up. SMB.
Agree2
Disagree1
As alan sugar once stated about football people like him and ellis short could go to the bank and ask for £100 million pound and it would be there not like others running clubs like mike ashley whos wealth is tied up in shares and who has seen his wealth shrink from 2 billion to 750 million with the state of the economy but i would still like to be a millon behind him. so we shall see in the summer which manager and club spends the most out of sunderland and newcastle. and with the chance of european football 2 results away that might just tice the better players to sol
Agree1
Disagree1
Sorry but ashley worth just under a billion short worth several billion
Agree2
Disagree1
Thats right ellis short is a multi billionaire
Agree1
Disagree1
Who cares who spends the most?
you spent LOADS on crap in the summer... we spent hardly any... yet we still got much better players. (ba cabaye santon)
Agree0
Disagree1
What difference does it make who has what. When the FIFA fair rules come in you will be done. You have to be able to show the club is self sufficent. Since you cant fill your grSMB.
Agree1
Disagree1
Santon a good player? haha we got larsson and vaughan and westwood for free and they pretty good, brown and o'shea were cheap and are doing really well, gardner 5m but is showing his quality, mcclean £350,000 and is better than your wingers! SGB got no sense
Agree0
Disagree0
Your only decent player is Sess. FACT.
Agree2
Disagree1
Mclean, larsson and sess would stroll into your starting line up. Ba would get in ours but he wont even be in yours next season
Agree0
Disagree0
Typical SGB no clue! SESS,MCCLEAN,O'SHEA,BARDSLEY,RICHARDSON,LARSSON,GARDNER would walk into your average team!
Agree2
Disagree0
Only player i would touch from the sgbs is krull the rest wouldn't get into our team and before any of you reply with ba he wouldn't suit our style of play and for all round ability couldn't tie sess's boots
Agree2
Disagree0
None of your Tribe would get in the Toon team fact.
Agree1
Disagree1
He would he wouldn't is all about opinions. But a stone wall fact is Gardner would never get into our midfield ahead of Tiote or Cabeye.
Agree4
Disagree1
Gardener was lacking confidence till o'neill gave him his chance think he will take the piss out of tiote and cabaye
Agree1
Disagree1
There is a lot of silly comments on here but that last one about Gardner takes the prize. That is why we Geordies call you mackems DELUDED. SMB.
Agree2
Disagree2
I'd rather have Gardner than that Thug Cabaye and Cattermole is starting to show he is a true leader, tiote just gets more yellows than Catts coz he is another Geordie dirty Btard, Alot of sunderland players would walk into that newc9st1e team, I think Krul,Colocini and Ba would be the only ones I think would get into the sunderland side!
Agree1
Disagree1
None of you average squad would get into the side fact. What makes me laugh the most though is you call Cabeye and Tiote thugs in the same sentence as you mention Cattermong. Quality. I am sure kicking off car wing mirrors come under the term THUG. Just a thought. SMB.
Agree3
Disagree1
Shows how many geordies are on our site liking a geordie post, must be boring being on the SGB page, I wonder if this SGB just keeps going back and liking his status over and over again, Billy no mates! HA SGB!
Agree0
Disagree0
Did you watch Cattermole against Arsenal? he was brilliant! sorry forgot that you can't afford a Tv, best get out on those street corners and work twice as hard SGB!

Cheers Quinny for all you've done for us! True legend!
Believable7
Unbelievable1
Jumped ship. don't blame him.
Agree2
Disagree4
Jumped ship?? what a pathetic SGB, he said he is going back to Ireland to spend time with his family and explore some other business investments, he has horses and stables and is big into horse racing, he always said he would leave when he was happy we were in a good position, FA Cup quarter final, 9th in the league! Niall Quinn Sunderland Legend! bet you lot you wish you had a good bloke like him at your club unlike your cockney mafia. what happened to your promise of getting SJP changed back from the SPORTS DIRECT ARENA? exactly Agent Ashley strikes again by removing the name of SJP for good!
Agree4
Disagree1
He's left to spend time with his horses?
the name can change all it wants.. but it will always be known around the world, as St James' Park.
Agree2
Disagree3
Left the might Scumberland to concentrate on horses. says it all really. SMb.
Agree1
Disagree2
Must be something about horses as michael owen left screwcastle to move back to cheshire to be close to his horses after taking screwcastle for a fortune now thats loyalty for ye after the sgbs backed him when he was injured good luck sir niall on ye new venture you have left our club in a better state
Agree3
Disagree1
He and Martin O'Neil don't get on at all.
Goes way back to O'Neils political beliefs.
Niall Quinn is a Gentleman, and good luck to him from a Toon fan.
Agree2
Disagree2
No SGBS if you read properly I said he left to be closer to his family and has business ventures in ireland, but I also said he is into his horses like a certain Michael Owen was, at least Quinn left us in a good position, Michael Owen jumped ship when you got relegated! Niall Quinn Sunderland Legend. Shows how many baby geordies there are making stupid insults and stupid comments about it, shouldn't you lads be at school not on street corners selling whatever you sell!
Agree2
Disagree1
Take it your a personal friend of the not so mighty Quinn to know why he left. didn't think so. The real reason is he has different political views to O Neil and I dont just mean about the direction of your ageing team. Selling on corners don't get it? your chick is here though. SMB.
Agree1

This statement released by niall quinn shows how well and highly he rates mon
Quinn said: "I have had the most amazing six years and it gives me a huge sense of pride to see where Sunderland is today."
He added: "Sunderland is in an incredibly fortunate position to have a hugely talented team of people leading the football club right now.
"Everything is in place for Sunderland to really make a statement, which was always my aim.
"From a football perspective, securing the services of Martin O'Neill has been an absolute highlight.
"In Martin, we have a man that understands the region, the club and the unique place it holds in the lives of its supporters, and I am confident that he will harness the immense passion that exists here and take us to new heights.
"As for the great Sunderland fans, I would like to thank them for the trust they placed in me.
"Back in 2006, I had no business experience and little formal education, and yet the fans backed me and believed in what I was trying to do.
in niall quinn we believed and he delivered only sad point i would like to have seen him still at the club in may but i have no doubt he will be at wembley for the final of f.a cup
Agree1
Disagree0
Yes it was on SSN saying he left to spend time with his family and business ventures, the rumour is he is a big horse fan. so no I don't need to know him personally, typical geordies trying to ruin somebodies reputation! QUINN LEGEND END OF!
Agree3
Disagree0
Quinn brought MON here, he was instrumental in the whole plan, why would he not get on with him? Quinn has friends from the North and the South ,if that's what you are trying to allude too. If there is any conflict with anyone one because of where they are from its your lot and the so called "Cockney Mafia" (sic) anyway bring on the capt mannering (Mainwaring) fella . He's fell off the face of the earth . Unless he is that Ginger Tom the Jawdeeeee fella who doesn't like Sunderland or South Shields.
Agree1
Disagree2
And another vacant seat at the Fortress of Light then - seems strange that he chose to quit with you lot doing so well. Shame, seemed a nice bloke for a Mackem though.
Agree1
Disagree0
Wouldnt it be better to leave with the club on the up!? think about it !
Agree1
Disagree0
Quinn has said from day one he would leave when the time is right and he was only wanting to be involved for a few years, he has been here maybe longer than he thought but as said by others earlier he has left us in great shape and with an excellent business and media profile
Agree1
Disagree0
Niall Quinn has strongly critisized Martin O'Neils republican views several times in the past in the Irish press, so I guess they don't get on very well.
Agree0
Disagree2
Republican views why would martin o'neill have strong republican views having played and captained northen ireland over 60 times if ye gonna write some s**te make sure its right s**te sgb
Agree2
Disagree0
Strong republican views? well I bow to your superior knowledge, just one thing??
How comes MON played for and Captain Northern Ireland and not play for the South? also Quinn , coming from the South and also Captain of the South would probably have republican views ? Would Celtic have had MON at the Helm if he was in any way controversial? especially the way things are up there!
Agree2
Disagree0
Remember also that Quinn would have been instrumental in brining the Lord MON to the SOL !
Agree2

Really think this guy who says jawdee is a div ...nope iam not this cpt mainwaring person either...as i said i dont think you've ever been to sunderland in your life ...just your great granda has...you said you are living in the northwest now i see your team beat cardiff yesterday plastic mackem...geordie tom
