can i just say that the value of fletcher or any player should be judged after they ve played if fletcher scores goals i dont care or give a **** how much he cost? i bet half dont even go? ????

Couldnt give a monkeys what we paid for him. No figures have been disclosed anyway, so £14m is pure speculation or a very poor attempt at a wind up.

Newcastle had 7 in the top 50.

You had no players in the worst 50 premier legue signings as you haven't spent much time in the prem. Also, when people compile lists such as that, they only remember players playing for big clubs, and not small pub teams signing duffers.
Gyan, Flo, Nunez, Stokes, Oster, Healy, Gordon, Thome, Chopra, Medina, Gray, Davis, Laslandes......should i continue.


{Ed024's Note - Would only include Flo, Nunez, Chopra, Medina and Laslandes as poor signings in my list. Gyan scored goals - just turned out to be greedy when cash was waved under his nose, Stokes was always a champioship player only, Oster/Healey - only cost £1m each, Davis was unfortunate to be in goal 2005/2006 and took the blame for goals that were due to poor players in front of him. Gordon - if not for injury .....Thome - appearances were restricted by a clause in contract that triggred extra payemnts once he had played 50 games, Not sure which Gray you refer to ? Martin and Michael came through the Academy and Phil Grey (nearly 20 years ago) scored almost a goal every 3 games.

Lol I love how you hinted trying to refer to newcastle as a big club. Do big clubs go over 50 years without a major trophy? Anyway the only memorable moment Newcastle are remebered for ended in a 4-3 defeat to liverpool at Anfield when that clown Keeeeegan was in charge.

Newcastle had a lot more poor signings like Flo, but also had 7 in the top 50.

Hiya ed, any more news on aj or jenus, jenus seems like tabloid nonsense tbh, what are your transfer expectations and Seasons expectations, who do you reckon for top 4 and bottom 3 ?

Mb {Ed024's Note - Agree that Jenas is nonsense - not convinced he would add that much to the squad. Villa apparently expressed an interest in AJ. But I still see a Euopean Club (Liverpool / Spurs) as the greatest threat to us getting him. Newcastle were interested but as I understand it only prepared to take Johnson on loan - Man City not prepared to loan him out.
I would expect Olsson to come in and Richardson likely to go out.
Other than that its a bit of a lottery. Wouldn't be surprised if we are quietly trying to do some business on the continent.
Don't see Berbatov or Guidetti coming.}

Ed the crack is if we miss out on adam johnson we will go after aidy mcgeady,imo we should use that money and meet wigans valuation of victor moses he can play on the wing or up front and this lads only 21 so hes only going to get better.

Chelsea are sniffing round Moses.
