Thought defence played well

A win against southampton doesn't mean your up for a good season, typical deluded mackems think they support a "big club" and can get europe. Where you are now is where you're expected to be, average mid table sometimes in relegation battles. You'll never be as big as Newcastle who deservedly are back with the big boys and challenging for top 7. I think you'll be able to brag about derbies when you play middlesbrough who probably just about the same caliber as you...oh wait you got beaten 1-0 against them...

Agree3 Disagree7

We are indeed where most Mackems expect top be, realistic in our hopes after many years of disappointment, though we always hope to improve. And we know what size club we are too- one supported by around 20% of its catchment population every time it plays at home- unlike Newcastle, who attract less than 5% of the metropolitan area catchment to their games. However, I have not noticed Newcastle pulling up any trees recently. I can only imagine that your anxiety at the dreadful performances of your own team leads you criticise others in order to deflect attention away from your own inadequacies. Frankly, I don't care how Newcastle are doing, nor am I interested in the delusions of their supporters. But it is nice to see that you are following our fortunes so closely- getting a little worried about who will finish where?

Agree5 Disagree1

Challenging for top 7? last time I checked the table if Ameobi didn't score on Saturday we'd be ahead of you on points... so shut your deluded mouth and evaluate your team's chances for supposed "Top 7" before making a mockery of yourself again. Also nobody even said "we beat Southampton, we are now a big club" Stop twisting people's words.

Agree2 Disagree1

Us deluded? You lot expected to challenge for.champions league places and got tortured off Southampton. Could have been 3 or 4-0 easily. Typical geordie drivel. Safc93

Agree3 Disagree1

Challenging for top 7 are you on geordie crack? aren't you a place above us below midtable? one win against a poor QPR side and you think your brilliant again, how many have you lost out of 9 games SGB? 7 soon to be 9 out of 11 when man utd n arsenal stuff you. If anyone is deluded it's you!

Agree2 Disagree1

Typical deluded geordie. You'll be lucky to avoid relegation this season. Even Demba is jumping from the good ship toon.........

Much needed 3 points today. well done lads. But that second half,it was shocking.Stuck in our own half to Southampton was pathetic, If we hope to get out of this mess,Mon must get players with a desire to win, as opposed to players who are here for an easy ride and a millionaire lifestyle.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Yeah but they didnt really hurt us we will be safe easily dont forget mon has only brought 3 players in apart from rose rome wasnt built in a day

in all fairness mate why would Dawson come to you when he didnt go to QPR where he would of got big wages

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Because he's from up near here in the first place, and Qpr are terrible

Agree4 Disagree3

QPR or Sunderland. No real difference other than geographical.

Agree3 Disagree4

QPR or sunderland? I think Dawson would rather be at a bigger, better club with a better manager....QPR.
