Aj isn't pants fair play hasn't had best start but starting to show his worth now plays a lot better on the left still made a diffrence to the team look how bad we were pre season

Believable6 Unbelievable2

I don't like him, total waste of money.

Look at who Newcastle are signing for less money.

This is what happens when you sign players that are Newcastle fans.

love reading the safc comments below and some saying sissoko would not improve there team.....this kid is valued at 20 million the only reason he was cheap is down to not long left on contract nearly 5 million cheaper than gardner

Believable6 Unbelievable5

If that was the case and he really is deal of the century why were no top clubs in for him? Lm86

Agree1 Disagree3

Arsenal, juventus were chasing him.

Agree2 Disagree1

There were other clubs in for him, same as there was other clubs in for Mbiwa.

Newcastle got these players because they are using their current players as friends to sell the club and the vision.

A.C Milan was in for Mbiwa, Tottenham offered 15 million for Sissoko not that long ago.

Agree2 Disagree2

Someone at spurs saw sense but it makes you wonder why if they allegedly offered that type of money they didn't go back in for him

Agree1 Disagree2

No, if arsenal or juve were chasing him they would have got him, they could offer bigger fee to club, bigger wages to player, more chance of winning something and arsenal have just as strong a French connection as the plus he would be based in London, truth is he looked good as a teenager and has failed to kick on hence the interest disappearing lm86

Agree2 Disagree2

Are you joking?

Arsenal cannot even find 3.5 mil for Diame, Wenger is a cheapskate.

As for Juve, they are mostly buying players on the cheap, ed Llorente.

And besides, Sissoko wanted to move to the Premier league which he said suits his style, not Italy.

Agree1 Disagree2

Under 2m that's what they paid for him wow he must be good

Agree0 Disagree2

Yeah 2m he should be good, michu 2m and he was good.

He we go again our fans moaning because we aren't doing what the mags are so take this into consideration I'm not sure on the figure but the talk is next year the prem league is going to be worth a fortune to teams in it so newcastle 1 point above the drop have had to spend 17 million on 5 players that are not tried in the league that's a average of 3.3 mil per player that has to go straight in to the first team and save them from a relegation fight they probs will stay up but when your in a scrap the last thing I would want to rely on is the french haven't really got a history of winning battles have they anyway we haven't panic bought players because in the summer we spend 22 mill on 2 proven prem quality players an average of 11 mill each that have made a massive difference to our team we are well clear of the drop granted could easy get dragged in so what we need is a couple of player who again know what the league is about just to add a bit of depth to the squad idealy on loan so when we get all this mon next year mon can spend big money on the quality players to take us forward which I think would be rose dawson millner and hooper tell me that wouldn't get us going so that's why we won't spend loads of money now because we don't need to stop all this negitive vibes and start showing the support you claim to have

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Fletcher was a good buy tbh as for aj pants

Agree2 Disagree7

Aj or mcclean. take your pick

Agree3 Disagree2

Yes because Newcastle buying quality internationals at bargain prices is a waste of money.

Where as Adam 2 good games Johnson was worth every penny.

And Fletcher? He is just a work horse, sure he has done ok but you have put all your eggs in one basket, now you only have one player that can be counted on to get goals. That does not make it difficult for other teams to pick out who to mark does it?

Sunderland will be broke in the summer again, you cannot fill the stadium, no one wants to watch your matches on sky because you are about as exciting as porridge, and after all this you still have to keep paying '2 good games a season Johnson' his big wages.

Agree3 Disagree4

That's one more goalscorer than you lot then. Tell me exactly how many has your highest scorer got this year oh that's right six in all comps, whoops, now run along little boy your mams shoutin you in for tea lm86

Agree3 Disagree3

I really don't get this you can't fill your stadim rubbish, you would think we only get 10k the way they go on but no we get 38-47k every game and sell out nearly if not all AWAY GAMES.Not bad is it for a team never in europe, never winning a cup or finishing top ten.

SUNDERLAND ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CLUB SUPPORTERS ARE SECOND TO NONE.

Agree2 Disagree2

To the obsessed mag who said we had all our eggs in 1 basket with Fletcher. If you didn't have Ba you would be bottom with 11 points talk about putting all the eggs in one basket then throwing the eggs out.

Agree1 Disagree1

Fletcher is just a workhorse, are you serious, the man is a goal machine, I bet he's top of the charts for chances to goals ratio in the pl, and I think safc have had an array of goalscorers this season, who have the skunks had score for them apart from bye ba.tk73

iam a newcastle fan but would like to say why at this time would Danny graham sign for either newcastle or Sunderland when he has a chance to play at wembley, may have to wait until the summer.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I agree but I don't think either of us want him anyway

Agree1 Disagree0

If he is at wembley he will be on the bench. again.

its a medal or 1st team footy
what would you do at 27

What kind of mag comes onto a sunderland transfer rumour forum and starts bitching about stadiums and airports and stuff?

Evidently a ten year old bed wetter who doesn't quite understand that sunderland is the eldest of three big north eastern teams and the one that's won the most top flight divisions...

Ffs a footballer with a heart condition chose bottom of the league over the dump nicknamed newcastle, the only players yous can get are french nobodies and players first noticed by sunderland.

Btw would love to see darren bent and danny graham at the sol would take some pressure off fletcher

True mackem speaking

Believable1 Unbelievable8

Grow up and act like a true fan

Agree7 Disagree2

It's all Newcastle with you isn't it eh?

Is someone a little bit jealous, just a little bit?

It must suck to be a Sunderland fan, you have my sympathy, a.

Agree4 Disagree2

Yeah it really sucks sitting pretty in mid table and improving every week, how I wish we were like the toon and sitting one point above relegation, not able to buy a point from anywhere. Enjoy your trips to London road next year boys lm86

I would much rather have bent back than hooper and graham so what if he left for more money I would kart wheel out my job for more money I would also walk out for the same money because I hate my gaffer anyone honestly disagree I would be shocked and suspicous bull sh€Ąters if any one said no and we have got to be his best chance of getting back in england squad

Pardew team talk to start with the words(in a Joey Barton style French accent)"I shall say this only once"
Ashley sending out scouts to find 'the fallen maddona with the big boobies', fat Mike thinks it is a relative of Diego Marradonna.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

You do realize Newcastle have more English players than you lot.

Agree4 Disagree1

Thanks for clearing that up for me and Newcastle have 12 English players in the first team and Sunderland have 11 but if you would care to read the original post I stated British which would then include The likes of Westwood, McLean, fletcher etc

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Westwood and mclean are republic so are not british

Agree2 Disagree1

But its called the English premier league not the British premier league so what's your point?

Agree4 Disagree0

Does it really matter?

Agree0 Disagree0

McLean is actually from northern Ireland which is part of britain

Agree1 Disagree1

Mcclean northern irish but chooses to play for republic

gettin sick of this website letting mags on, its a rumour site not a site for silly jibes and slagging off. that's me done unless you keep them off {Ed001's Note - run along then, it is a banter site too, you are obviously not mature enough to take banter.}

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Ed do your job edit, that's your only job on this page, if you can't then go and give a safc fan a go 2 many mags on this page and rumors page just read mags page guess what ed edits bet you don't put this on our SAFC FANS PAGE so will post this on all OUR other FORUMS me think ED is a mag {Ed024's Note - You think wrong !}

Agree0 Disagree4

Nice Ed its the same for both sites. Needs to dry his eyes.

Agree5 Disagree1

Well said ed jog on little boy it's about banter

Agree2 Disagree1

I am not the original poster and I agree with you ED it is a banter page and the poster needs to grow a pair and stop crying like a girl, but your being a bit unprofessional telling him to run along etc you would be a crap salesman losing custom etc.

I think we need to be realistic, if we do not go down this season then we prob will next season.

Most of our players seem to be unhappy and they do not seem to want to play for the club.

N'Diaye will either flop or do a runner like the rest if he proves himself good.

Think we need a fresh start, new manager and a complete rebuild of the squad, but who could we get?

Troublesome times while Newcastle bring in all these flashy players.

Believable4 Unbelievable10

Pathetic - go out and drink some Brown Ale - it's Friday man !

I think you need to be realistic I genuinely believe MON is gradually improving the team in a sensible realistic way and if he continues in the same vein then I think we will just get stronger and stronger, can't see us being relegated either this season or next, reckon you must be a Mag.

The Awkward moment a Sunderland fan looks at his squad list and realizes that Newcastle have more English players than you do.

Still making Pepe la Pew jokes now?

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Le moment delicat une pie regarde sa liste de l'equipe et realise les petits nouveaux francais n'ont pas l'estomac pour un combat de chiens de relegation

'The awkward moment a magpie looks at his squad list and realises the new french kids don't have the stomach for a relegation dogfight'.

Agree4 Disagree5

Lets just see how many of those English players start at the weekend shall we

Agree2 Disagree2

The awkward moment a mag comes on a rivals site and speaks utter drivvle and tries to big up the wee french club PATHETIC!

'Agincourt' !!!

GAMES TO GOAL RATIOS:
(all senior goals, all teams, all competitions)

1) Gary Hooper 2.25
2) Darren Bent. 2.36
3) Danny Graham. 2.99
4) Stephen Fletcher 3.25
5) Yoan Gouffran 4.13

Strikes me we could take our pick from the top 3. Maybe steer clear of number 5 though.
31 goals in 4 and a half seasons for Bordeaux is simply not good enough for Sunderland AFC.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

What is Gouffran's goals to game ratio this season?

A lot better than the other 4.

Bam, take it. Suck it up. Chew on that.

Agree4 Disagree5

Gouffran was played out mostly on the wing for bordeaux that's why he didn't get as many goals, he'd easily get into sunderland.

Agree4 Disagree3

Funny I heard the same excuse about Cisse and look what's happened, he is terrible, mags are a joke, if you want to talk utter rubbish then stay on your own site frenchy!

Agree3 Disagree4

....and 33 goals in 5 seasons at Caen.

why on earth would we want bent, am I the only one who thinks he has completely lost it, he doesn't want to know! he gives up during a match. there's a reason he hasent got his game for villa! we should be laughing about this not wanting him back!

he's past it! get out there and get some decent scouting done and find a new talent!

cc

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Difficult to see Bent coming back even though Sunderland, marginal favourites ahead of Mags, to sign him. Could be a coup buy but can't really see it happening. Is not only the Judas accusations he would face but problems with his ego if going to play second fiddle to Fletch.

Agree4 Disagree0

Sunderland are welcome to Bent, he is not good enough for us but he would probably be alright for you lot.

To be fair he would probably still be good enough to play for your poor team until he was 38 years old.

Remember Mackems, you are the ones that take our cast offs, not the other way around.

Agree0 Disagree3

Bent cast off, scored 23 goals for us I one season, mags would love him there, only 28 year old not 33, what an personic comment

Agree2 Disagree0

Only reason he won't be bought by the mags is because he aren't french.

besides aren't they after pepe le pew.

Agree1 Disagree0

Can anybody clear this up for me?

If you are to have a squad of 25 how many of the 25 have to be British or homegrown talent because the way the skunks keep signing frogs surely they won't fall into it will they?

Thanks for your replies

Ac85

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Skunks have 12 English players, a lot more than we do.

You are welcome.

Agree3 Disagree1

Was listenin to legends other night they were sayin summat about if your under 21 it doesn't count and if uv been in the country playin for 3 years or more it doesn't count?doesnt make lot of sense to me(maybe I heard it wrong)edd can you shed any light........safc 79 {Ed001's Note - under 21s don't need to be counted in your squad allowance. 8 over the age of 21 that have been in the country for 3 years before their 21st birthday can be registered and 17 players over the age of 21 (who can be from anywhere). You have to leave a gap in the squad if you can't meet the 8 'homegrown' player rule, but that is all. You could just have 17 foreigners over 21 and 5000 foreigners under 21.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The 'skunks' have more English players than you do, and no I'm not a Newcastle fan

Agree1 Disagree1

And who cares they also have more french players than half the premiership put together, they even have more than arsenal but arsenals french players usually cost more than 1m quid!

Agree3 Disagree0

Parsnip was slagging Wenger off a couple of years ago for the glut of Frogs obviously didn't realise he'd be getting a greenhouse.

The reason the mags are signing french no names is beacause they are cheap and could easily be sold for profit . It is a mike ashly thing

Believable3 Unbelievable4

You are quick off the mark.

Agree1 Disagree2

No its coz newcastle have one of the best french scouting networks in england, could be sold for profit, but no need, also helps the team gel more, am I right ed?
