Looks like Sunderland are really struggling, I don't think it is MoN fault totally. Think our squad needs a hugh change.

His saving grace is the fact most of these players arnt his signings ...

With any luck kilgallon will get his chance with oshea being injured,id play vaughan and larsson in the middle colback and gardner are non existent and wont be missed.sessegnon to RW with wickham playing up front with fletcher others to stay the same mignolet in goal bardsley RB rose LB cuellar CH johnson LW.

Agree2 Disagree4

If you are looking to Kilgallon to significantly improve team we must really be desperate- he may be a useful squad player but it is difficult to think of any premier league team where he might be regular starter. This just underlines what a problem we have with ageing CBs who can't remember where their feet are- Cuellar is no better, he knows how to lean in and obstruct but has also lost any pace and has no positional sense either. But I agree with you that Wickham or even Ji should be given a chance- it is hard to believe that anyone could be less effective than that useless pair McLean and Johnson- in fact I think the only reason McLean gets on is to make the decision to throw £10 million at Johnson look less foolish. No doubt Harry will organize a better coaching team at QPR by the end of the week than O'Neill has managed to bring here in a year, and when a team is thinking about 6 pointers before the end of November you know you are in trouble. Already survival seems the best we can hope for, and that is not good enough, so O'Neill is not good enough. He fiddled around in July and August and we are paying the price for his indecision now, because we have too many players who can't perform. No decent CB, wingers who cross most often from the half-way line, and still hit the first man, no pace anywhere in the team, and no confidence. Fletcher got better service at Wolves than he has had here!

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Whatever banner they fly it will spelt wrong as usual.Still good for a laugh though.

Agree7 Disagree2

AND the o`nelly out banners will be out at the stadium of plight too. BOTH clubs struggling and will be battling bottom of table places.

Agree2 Disagree2

So the geordies admit they're struggling. What happened to the champions league? And we're not as fickle as you lot, Oneill isn't expected to turn us around straight away. Safc93

MON has no right hand man only coaches
- his previous right hand man john Robertson does not want to come.
steve guppy is a coach that was brought in for james mclean ( its only made him worse)
it is clear to see we are lacking in tactics, direction and belief all which comes from great coaching!
all MONS previous jobs worked as he had john Robertson, he hasn't got him so its not working -SIMPLE!
MON has now a worse record than BRUCE! and if he had been in charge this season he would have been sacked by now.
MON is a great manager but only if he has a great coach which he hasn't so how long do we put up with him?
look at harry redknap he takes ALL his coaches to all his jobs and he usually is very successful( bar Southampton)
If John Robertson doesn't come MON has stated he wont get anyone else to assist. FACT
so MON struggles to coach team to high standard =no tactics no belief and no points = RELEGATION
FACT!!

Martin O`neil must NOT be allowed to walk away. He is doing a fine job. He didnt call himself a messiah, take club to next level etc etc. 50,000 Geordies want this out of touch with modern day football to stay with his team he supported as a kid and play his exciting 7-2-1 formations to lead them to the championship where they may win a few games.

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Just keep lumping it up your just a poor stoke

Why does Mon need an assistant? I dont need an assistant to run my team. No, the problem with Mon is that he is out of touch with modern day football and there was too much faith put in him. Everyone was saying he was a messiah and was going to take club to next level etc etc. Well he will take club to next level, downwards! My granny could have won leagues in the scottish league if she was manager of Celtic or Rangers.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Why bring Celtic or Rangers into it. Your granny couldn't manage to guide Celtic to the UEFA Cup Final or to the Champions League could she. Just like MON can't guide rubbishe players up the league table.

Agree3 Disagree2

Can you explain what modern day football is?

Agree1 Disagree0

He needs an assistant without doubt.
He needs someone to bounce his ideas off etc. He certainly isnt coping alone. Maybe it was Robertson who was the main factor in Mons previous success. Without him he is lost.

Jeez.

Well i support MON but hes on very thin ice with the Chairman at the moment ..and a false rumour spread tonight saying hed resigned doesnt help the confidence in the side !..we look so frail in defence ..if he does stay then he will have to be very astute in the transfer window in janurary !

Agree2 Disagree1

Beat QPR and we will almost be midtable, we were unlucky against everton, played well, beat fulham, very unlucky against west brom and were cheated by ridgewell the diving cheat, I'm not that worried, but if we don't beat QPR I will be worried

Agree7 Disagree3

Very unlucky against WBA...You must of been watching a different game to me mate. They never got out of second gear and scored 4 goals! Our back four is all over the place, We create nothing from the middle of the park, our supposed danger men ( apart from Sess ) look about as dangerous as a racing snail and our all round passing game is nothing short of shocking, especially in the last third. Where so one dimensional Steve Bruce could put a side out & beat us. WBA players where first to every ball yesterday. They looked a really solid, hard working unit who are very dangerous on the break. Our best player is on loan from Spurs, where carrying about 4 players week in week out! Something is seriously wrong within SAFC!

Agree5 Disagree4

Absolutely right. When the most consistent player is a last minute loan signing you have to ask why- O'Neil transfer moves weren't much better than McLean's peformances- and that such a dummy gets onto the field at all is beyond belief. Against good sides we look clueless, we make ordinary sides look good. We have had two poor wins- both quite fortunate- and the idea that we were unlucky yesterday is nonsense- many refs would have sent off carthorse O'Shea and headless chicken Cattermole and Gardner s goal was a deflection, we had more than our share of the luck. Face the truth- this side is a poor side that is poorly orgainised and poorly motivated. Rose puts most of the team to shame, not because he is unusually talented, but because he tries all the time and can do basic things like keep the ball and use it sensibly. If we lose against QPR then O.Neil has to go- and he can take his useless midfield and centre-backs with him.
