The chants were disgraceful about Bruce...im not a fan of his but at the end of the day its just a game and his family were in attendance too and to get personal about him is disgusting. Shame on the fans who took part.

I sit in the west stand, and after watching the last 2 home games I think bruce has to go, however I was disgusted with some of the chants directed his way on saturday. he may be a geordie[I am Northumbrian] but he is football through and through and would dearly love to make our club a real success.it is the biggest job he has had after all, but unfortunately for him and the fans it is not to be.So come on vent our frustrations, but without getting personal.

Probably not the nicest thing you'd like to hear about yourself.
That chanting is a result of talking rubbish in press conference's. In everyone recently he's been so condiscending it's unreal.
But as SB likes to remind us he has broad shoulders because he's from the NE and injuries have hurts us and the team needs to gel and blah blah blah

Bruce has definetly got to go.Had enough time now to get things right,but its getting worse.lets just look at the players being used. 3players from relegated teams. 2 players from man utd who are near the end of their careers and only came because we offered them 4 year contracts. A dane who nobody else wanted. 2 midfielders who at best are championship players at best(cattermole,colback). A young untried striker.so we have aspirations of getting into a european spot .This had relegation written on it from the start.

From recent Sunday Mirror:
Steve Bruce's hold on the Sunderland job could be loosening after a report claimed Martin O'Neill had been sounded out about succeeding him.
The Sunday Express says former Aston Villa and Celtic manager O'Neill refused to discuss the Black Cats role while pal Bruce was in charge.
O'Neill, who has also been linked with old club Nottingham Forest, has been out of work since quitting Villa days before the start of last season.
He is a boyhood Sunderland fan and is thought to be friendly with the club's billionaire chairman Ellis Short.

Tomorrows Sunday Mirror will read:
Angry Sunderland fans have left owner Ellis Short in absolutely no doubt they have had enough of Steve Bruce and his running of the club.
They finally turned on the manager in large numbers after the latest defeat in a year of woeful home displays.
The Black Cats fans are unhappy with Bruce's tactics and team selections and there is also a growing feeling that the club is stagnating.
Short, in his first public pronouncement since taking the chairman's role, has insisted there is no reason for Sunderland fans to panic.
They clearly disagree with his analysis after yet another timid home surrender.
Many feel that Sunderland are drifting and blame that on departures of star players.
Short has little choice now, but to bow to the fans wishes.
