He will be in charge for wolves, if we don't get anything there then he will definately be sacked or will resign, I think short and quinn will give him one last game, can't see us getting anything at wolves if he plays 4-5-1 again
Agree5

He does not have much option but to play 4-5-1- only experienced striker we have is bentner in the premiership- but who's fault is that!

Noble, dong won? noble scored a hat trick this evening in 4mins when coming on as a sub, dong won scored 2, mcclean scored 2 aswell, surely these lads deserve a chance now

Why bother posting that Bruce is going when it just makes you look like a plum when he doesn't? I am Sunderland through and through and I'm gutted at how were playing and would love to see M.O.N at the sol, and i'll believe it when it's on the telly!

MON is the only one to take this club up to the level we want. he is a proven quality manager I think he would put 5000 on the gate immediatlely he would demand funds of course, but have SAFC got it!
Agree6
Disagree0
I agree he is the man to take our club forward. Years ago Brian Clough wanted this job and the directors were frightened of him what did he do elsewhere- our fans would have loved him and stuck with him through thick and thin. M oneill is the fans choice and would get the support needed maybe not not the financial support though.

Can't understand the whole Martin O'Neil thing. Every team he has managed he has inherited a good side and played s**t football. Then walked away when things take a turn for the worse.
Agree0
Disagree3
Thats a false statement, at celtic he had then challenging in europe and left because bhis wife was ill, at villa he had them in the top 5 for 2 seasons and left because the chairman was selling players behind his back and he was given no funds to strengthen, O'neill is a winner and would be great for us
Agree5

Take a look at his track record on the internet-he has had success at every club

Rumour has it Steve Bruce will be managing SAFC for the next four seasons....Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring!

If the truth be known, Steve Bruce will not be accepted in SAFC eyes because of his so called Black and White roots (Mr Manc). If your football club, and I use this term very loosely, was in the position in the PL, that NUFC find themselves in he would be a God in your eyes. Fickle fans or what!
Believable3
Unbelievable6
Shut up, if you had him as manager and he played rubbish tactics and players out of position every game then you would not be so supportive of him, sound like a geordie on an ego trip. Later

How can Newcastle fans come on here and call us fickle supporters? In the past 10 years they have moaned and resulted in getting managers the sack lets see
Kenny Dalglish -SACKED-1998
Ruud Gulit -SACKED-1999
Sir Bobby Robson -SACKED-2004
Greame Souness -SACKED-2006
Glen Roeder -SACKED-2007
Sam Allardyce -SACKED-2008
All of these lost there jobs to mindles deluded geordie b*****ds!
Believable6
Unbelievable0
Bobby Robson was not sacked because of fans, neither was Sam Allardyce, he was not Ashley's choice of manager, that's why he was sacked! As for the other 4, they didn't have a clue how to run a club as big as Newcastle United! But we don't expect Sunderland fans to understand that as they support such a small mediocre club that will never amount to anything!

So big Sam A. was hounded by the mag fans because he was the choice of Ashley
King Kenny as he was fondly Known as by mags[for a little while anyway!]wasnt good enough for a bigclub, where is he managing now you numpty!

Agree0

Ball, quinn, and Sbragia were temporary, doesnt count
Agree1

Is that roar your team on with ample arm room since you're never at capacity ?
Agree1

Scumcastle never have capacity either, their average attendance is 46,000 and their stadium has 4,000 more capacity than us. Best check your facts before you make yourself look a prat SGB

Double standarts mackem's....of course they count ....but you deluded fools thought they weren't good enough...wasted jobs....Quinn twice he wasn't even a good enough chaiman for you's......p.s 52,000 against Chelsea at home.. it's sold out.....how many in the SOS against Chelsea this season, fickle lot ...low to mid 30,000's if I remember rightly.... at the beginning of a season where you deluded lot said you we're going to be top 5,6,7.....disgrace....TOON ARMY
Agree0

What's the point of pionting out we've a bigger capacity than you's, when your 11,000 on average below your's, the only time you could fill the SOS was when you all wanted to see the Toon's new french stars

A. Carlo Ancelloti?
B. Martin O'neill?
C. Rafael Benitez?
D. Guus Hiddink?
dont even think about saying mark Hughes or alan curbishley that would be terrible come on ellis get this club moving in the right direction!

I am a Newcastle fan, but before you freak out i am not on here to bash your side, just your manager (geordie or not). Bruce has truly lost the pot and as many of you said needs to go now, if you have any chance to getting out of the lower half of the table, make a change. The big rush is not just results now, there is still a great deal of football to be played. But if you want to avoid a relegation fight, a new manager will need to have time to get a plan together before the Jan window. I think it may take a few players (or the new managers own players anyway) to turn things around. Look i am sure i will get stick from other Newcastle (and likely Sunderland fans, to mind my own business) fans for not writing something far more disrespectful. But the truth is although i have no love for your side and happy as hell when we beat you, i want to see those battles continue. If you were to go down, having one team in the North would be less exciting, no derby matches...... no I'd much rather have those to look forward too (and in truth win ;)

Finally a bit of honesty instead of abuse well said by the way

Sunderland have the players, Gardener has barely played , if only we had a manager who would play the players we have in their CORRECT postions and when a substituiton is made dont make the whole team move around into different postions, Im sure half the team dont know where the other half are on the pitch and where they themselves should be playing.
Agree1

I wasn't implying that throw the baby out with the bath water, i just think a new man would like to bring in one or two players come January. And if you lot wait until to late that manager won't have time to formulate a plan or get to assess the group you have. You say you have the players, but i believe you could afford to strengthen in a few positions (as could everyone)... with a striker, and one or two new bodies in the spin of the team. You still need a permanent solution up front to replace the goals lost by Bent and Gyan. Bendtner is talented but not nearly consistent enough, thats why Arsenal let him go (and rarely played him as a striker even in VP absence). Further more your back end or spin needs to be strengthen, i am not singling out the bad late goal last week, but if a team struggles to score you need to be water tight at the back. The fact is no matter my personal feeling toward Bruce, for what ever reason he has lost his way with this team. And sometimes it takes a shake up or a change of culture to turn things around. it doesn't mean Bruce isn't trying or is ever again (and in fact was over the last two years) going to be a useful manager. Things just run their course sometimes, a fresh manager and perhaps one or to new faces are all that is needed sometimes.

I don't 'think' your confused, I 'think' your deluded. Hiddink has turned down the permanent Chelsea job a couple of times. Why the hell would he go to Sunderland.
