Sunderland will sign Danny Rose for £5 million, if any higher it is too much

Believable3 Unbelievable9

He's the best left back in England IMO

Agree6 Disagree2

Id pay up to £10 million for him ..worth every penny

Agree8 Disagree0

Rose and Leighton Baines i would say

Agree1 Disagree1

Its been said in the press he is not for sale . I hope we can get him though. He's young and he could be in the team/squad for many years to come .Hopefully we can get him but it will cost us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Best left back?!?!
Cole and Baines are well ahead!

Agree3 Disagree7

Rose is as good , younger and faster and is still learning the game with years /seasons in front of him!

Agree5 Disagree0

Rose would be a class signing but players like downing evans and wellbeck come to mind lads

Agree3 Disagree0

Rose is too good for a small team like the Mackems.

Not as good as Santon though, Italy international and a Champions league winner at his young age.

The best you can hope for is picking up a few cheap signings of Aston Villa when they go down.

If you got Albright you lot would probably think all your birthdays had came at once, and he is rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree3

Only seen the highlights on tv but santon has been poor in your last 4 or 5 games not one to rely on looked lost without jonas covering him the other day

Agree0 Disagree0

Santon has been torn apart last few games

Dear me, when you think it cant get any better, look what happens. If that had been humane it should have been stopped long before the final whistle. This is becoming silly now, but they come on our pages having a go at us.Spoonful of calpol and ask your mammies to make everything allright in the morning.

Why WHY WHY is MON not allowing Meyler back(who scored again today) hes dithering whether to recall him or not...WHY /??? ..we needed him today so why is he so indecisive about Meyler !

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Back for new year mate me myself would let him stay at hull play games and get his fitness and confidence back would seem like a new signing next season

Agree2 Disagree1

Maybe because he's crap.

After watching that tripe today, we need to seriously strengthen all over the pitch. Rose will stay till end of season but then back to Spurs. Confirmed.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

We could still sign rose at the end of the season but we have him until then at least, we need a cb, cm, fw and left back hopefully rose!

Agree4 Disagree0

Definatly ! the side needs major overhauling ! ....im worried than MON doesnt know what he best line up is ! he certainly doesnt like 2 up front which not only is boring for the fans but we cant score enough goals !

Agree4 Disagree1

MON has shown no capacity to mould a team- he is clueless. he sends out sides that are set up to get behind the ball and don't know what to do with it when they have it. The style of play he favours- to call the pathetic organisation evidenced on the pitch 'tactics' is an exaggeration- is dull at best and generally shambolic. McClean was woeful again, Johnson very ordinary, Fletcher rendered irrelevant by the lack of a plan and anyone who can get the ball to him. The defence performed at their usual low level of competence, and we have the worst centre back pairing in the league which ever combination is used. Headless chickens managed by a spent force who would do us a kindness if he gave up now, but will probably waste more of the clubs resources in January. I would not give him a penny to spend, because he has no plan, does not seem to recognise even basic requirements and is a very poor judge of of both players and performances- as is clear from the personic explanations he offers after the miserable performances his team churn out. I am beginning to wish we had not beaten City, because it could well keep him in job he patently cannot do.

Agree1 Disagree7

Who do you want for goodness sake Mark Hughes is available. Is that who you want, would you want Pardew, get a grip, you will be ok.

Agree4 Disagree1

Pardew. Is on 8 years so we wont have him haha

Agree1 Disagree0

The fact that there are worse managers than O'Neill does not make him any better. He had a good spell with Celtic- which is not saying much- but has been ordinary every where else, and very very ordinary here. If your yardstick is the even less successful managers in the premier league- and this is a short list- fair enough, but some of us think a club as big as ours that spends as much money as we have can and should perform much better than it does. The clear fact is that after flattering early on O'Neill has not met expectations, and has given no indication that he understands why this is or has any sensible plan that might improve things.

Bet you looking forward to the championship next season and the derby against Middlesbrough.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Agree7 Disagree0

Agree3 Disagree0

Normal service resumed- clueless defending, no tactics, MON without any idea of what to do to influence game. McClean awful, all three centre backs on show too slow and looking like they have not previously met. Absolutely no evidence of organisation or coaching. This is not good enough, the players are not good enough, the manager is not good enough. If this is the best we can manage at home, and after two wins, then MON has to go- he does not have enough ambition and this is reflected in his ten-men-behind-the-ball formation that is as ineffective as it is dull to watch. Shapeless, no attacking intent- Fletcher might as well not be there the support he gets, and why Wickham can't get on when the likes of McClean is giving the ball away every time he gets it is beyond reason.

Believable1 Unbelievable6

Poor again, should of went more attacking from the start, got 6 points out of 9 the past 3 games where everyone thought we would maybe get 1 point at most can't complain, 7 points above relegation zone. HA'WAY THE LADS!!

Agree4 Disagree1

Ha Ha the Toon love it.. keep it coming.

Agree2 Disagree4

Agree cant see what MON sees in cuellar and bramble we need 2 top defenders and another left back as looks like spurs gonna keep Rose !..and why is MON keep playing one up front is sucidal !..4-4-2 is the only option at home paticullay when we are behind !

Agree4 Disagree1

Bet Shearer will be in toon tears on MOTD tonite lol

Alright Mackems.

Got talking to Steve Bruce and Lee Clarke who were out having a few beers.

We were having a laugh about Lee Clarkes t-shirt stunt.

All the best.

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Just like I was laughing when your messiah Shearer got you relegated! SGB!

Agree8 Disagree0

So there is 3 stoogies having a few beers, A tee shirt stunt which catapulted Clarke into oblivion, Bruce got the sack, what is the punchline?Chris-S.

Agree2 Disagree0

Felt sorry for lee clarke myself went to watch a game of football concerning the team he once played for and supported as a boy then was told not asked where his loyalty was and made to put on that t shirt by the same sh*te who dont class some of my mates as real newcastle supporters because they come from villages around durham even calling them mackems shows who the real sad ones are sgbs

Well.we had a good laugh yesterday with Fergies comments. It went through them like a virus, a bout of diarrhea and the winter vomiting bug rolled into one. They just could not keep anything down, spewing bile in all directions. They could try kaoline and morphine but may only last till kick off time at the Emirates.Any way good luck to the lads today, its a tough game, but it is a game we should get at least a point from.Hope we can get Danny Rose in talks today.Chris-S.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

MON said he was hoping of a "conversation " with spurs when they came up north !. over Danny Rose !! ...we should be starting negoitiation NOW as there will be big interest in Rose ! ...there seems to be a lack of push !..make spurs an ofer Martin !

Get ready for some schooling from Gareth Bale.

I am expecting Tottenham to bang in atleast 3 or 4 goals at the Stadium of blight.

I would give it a miss if I were you, not to worry though... you will be able to catch the Toon on MOTD giving Arsenal a proper going over.

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Please, no more funnies, my sides are still hurting off yesterday.Chris-S.

Agree4 Disagree0
