Sorry but disagree swansea are no mugs this is a team that in 2 games chelsea never scored against fair enough didn't look pretty but we never lost a got another point on board I thought our fans are out of order to boo graham like that if he sign he knows what he's got to do so fair play to him if he signs especailly now but if this is our main target and he dosnt join because of this mon oneill has every right to be angered

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I agree with you, Laudrupp has them playing great passing football and they pressed us off the ball. What was disappointing was we gave them loads of room to play their football

Agree4 Disagree1

So what is your point? Laudrup has his team- one he inherited plus a couple of key signings he made, but minus the players seen as central to last year's success, playing 'great passing football' after four months in charge. And O'Neill has us chasing shadows with ten men behind the ball, playing almost no football after fourteen months in charge. So which of them is building a team and which of them is going nowhere?

Agree2 Disagree1

We bboed because we don't want him that was the point if he doesn't come because of it then excellent I hope he doesn't come hopefully monu will have heard the booing and the chanting and hopefully has more irons in the fire if we have put all your eggs in 1 basket with graham he deserves to get everything he doesif we get nobody too old fashioned and stubborn by the way playing ultra defensive at home is a disgrace

Fellow black cats we did not play terrible, the bottle was half full more than half empty I say. Johnson played well sess played well migs played well fletcher played well N'diaye played well Gardner played well. united, city, Newcastle (not a big surprise) and arsenal have all failed to keep a clean sheet against Swansea, but we can hold our heads up high and say we kept a clean sheet against Swansea. And some people are to stupid to notice that. I think we played well without rose. At least Michu didn't score and that's another thing the other four teams let Michu score but we didn't.

Wise men say only fools rush in and I can't help falling in love with you. (every body now sing) shall I stay would it be a sin if I can't help falling in love with you. Like a. River flows surely to the sea darling so it goes some thing are ment to be, take my hand take my whole life too for I can't help falling in love with you.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

We did play terrible, we played more attractive football under bruce. Whens O'Neill planning on signing players.

Just got in from game. Motm for me was bramble, the only player apart from mignolet and fletcher that did anything tonight. No other player playing for the shirt they couldn't care less. Safc93

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Wot a block from bramble on danny graham!!!!!!!!!

Agree4 Disagree0

Did anyone notice the shot was going way wide. It was a great block so I won't take anything away from Titus he was the best man in red and white today

Fletcher is just a work horse, sure he has done ok but you have put all your eggs in one basket, now you only have one player that can be counted on to get goals. That does not make it difficult for other teams to pick out who to mark does it?

Sunderland will be broke in the summer again, you cannot fill the stadium, no one wants to watch your matches on sky because you are about as exciting as porridge, and after all this you still have to keep paying '2 good games a season Johnson' his big wages.

You know what really makes me laugh until my sides split = Titus Bramble! Biggest Joke since Heskey.

aha!!

Believable1 Unbelievable6

Why do you keep coming on our page. At least Fletcher is a work horse who scores goals; Cisse isn't a work horse and can't score goals and Ameobi is just a horse. I see you've chirped up since beating a team that a League 2 side beat

Agree6 Disagree1

2 goals in 3 games for Cisse upfront since Ba left. That is goal scoring form.

When he plays upfront, he scores. simples.

Agree0 Disagree6

Jesus what a run of form he is on. Shawcross has scored 1 in 1 goal scoring form right there. Adam Le Fondre 2 goals in 20 minutes forgot who that was against, can someone remind me?

Agree5 Disagree0

Mags have beaten the worst team in the premiership and now they are on the up come back on after saturdays game and if you beat chelsea I will give you credit as for swansea they look nailed on to do what newcastle haven't done since 1955 mate enough said

Agree1 Disagree1

Been reading their site.
One of them thinks they will now finish in the top ten and next seaon qualify for Champions League.
Mon should look at this.
Stop fans moaning about Danny Graham and lack of progress, sign five Frenchies and you are guaranteed success.

Here we are again -uninspired and uninspiring. It is as if they tried for a couple of weeks in case O'Neill really did look to sign one or two good players, then realised he doesn't really have a plan so they are alright for another few months anyway! Swansea were quicker to the ball, better organised, more composed in defence and looked much sharper in attack. This is not a big six outfit making us look ordinary, this is a team that has spent a total of one and half seasons in the Premier League. If we don't sign some real class in defence and in midfield before Friday then whether we stay up or not we won't be seeing much football at the SoL this season, because we can't hold onto the bloody ball! And don't tell me this is not O'Neill's side- if he has not got the squad he wants it is because he has no idea how to assemble one. He has had plenty of time to see the shortcomings but seems incapable of doing anything about them. O'Neill is not the solution- he is part of the problem.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Why all the Boo's for Graham then, Thought he was going to sign for you lot {Ed024's Note - If you dont know now, you never will .... he's an ex Newcastle fan}

Agree4 Disagree0

Sounds just like Pardew. Clueless.

How come out big money buy Adam Johnson wins another flop of the match award. *Sigh*

And Newcastle get Sissoko on the cheap and he is their Man of the Match.

I am going to cry into a tea towel here.

the worst player on the pitch was AJ OMG!!

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Yet our fans still adore him. And persist on giving stick to other players

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to due to the big fee you splashed on him. He is a impact player from the bench. City don't sell good players.

very poor game same old story, not 1 shot on target WHY WHY WHY does oneil play one up front it does NOT work flech needs help sort it out marty

Believable5 Unbelievable0

TOTTALLY agree with the above !..why is MON so negative ! its so boring to watch with one up front !..and this manager is looking for another striker !...if we played till midnight we wouldn't have scored with one up front !..i feel sorry for Fletcher !

Agree4 Disagree0

29 Jan 2013 21:44:17
Tonight's performance was terrible. If we don't get the cheque book out we are in trouble

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Its not the money its the negative managers tactics ! we dint even deserve one point tonight ..very lucky !

Agree3 Disagree0

It wasn't the players that were at fault for this poor performance, it was the tactics. O'Neill set up the side with five in midfield and Fletcher up front on his own. Those tactics are for away games when you are trying to stifle the opposition and nick a result. We were the home side and should have taken the game to Swansea. O'Neill's after match comments were that a draw was a fair result - I think that comment was an attempt to justify tactics he got completely wrong.

29 Jan 2013 21:41:14
You can't keep playing negative football at home and not have one shot on target and then defend mon. How long does it take to put a bit of pride into your team? The fact is we need players and we should have had them by now. That game I just watched was disgraceful, absolutely disgraceful, and I'm sorry but I'm blaming the manager!

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Agree ..MON should have changed it round in the 2nd half and played with 2 strikers ! ...if I was Whickam i'd put in a transfer request because hell never get many games under this manager !...as an ex Aston Villa fan told me once MON has no plan be ! that's his weakness ! but will he learn and change ?

Another poor first 45 when we look more like the away side and anyone who has pace or runs at our defence finds space. When will O'Neill realise that you need to win the ball to play with it? It wouldn't matter if we had three strikers, we can't hold the ball long enough to get it to them.

Toon fan here from the best City in the North. I here Danny Graham is waiting for any offer from Newcastle has he hates the crap cats. And would rather play non-league football than play for you. So if he does leave which I don't expect him too, he'll go to the Canaries and not the crap cats.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Whatever magpie who's ahead of you again??

Agree4 Disagree1

Danny Graham would rather play for Hartlepool than Sunderland.

Agree1 Disagree0

We don't want him anyway did you not hear the boos every time his name was mentioned and when he came on

Agree1 Disagree0

Fancy supporting the mags when you live in Sunderland you should be ashamed.

We are in desperate need of a creative midfielder. Fletcher and his inevitable new partner need quality service. I know Fletcher has done well so far with the scraps of service he has had, but with a strong and creative midfield providing good service he will be twice as effective. But as we know these type of players don't come cheap. We will never be any better than a bottom half side without these types of players.

Negative Mackem?

I know we won't but why don't we get holt and hooper and play them upfront with fletcher imo that would be great

Believable1 Unbelievable2

With Graham and Bent, will only need five more strikers for a complete team

Agree0 Disagree0

Because it would probably be pidgin 20m for the two, Celtic won't let Hooper go cheap lm86
