ive heard malbrange is
wanted by st etenine in
france ..sad to see him
go but if it means us getting
a left winger so be it

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Its in the papers today

Agree0 Disagree0

We won't get Johnson but Gradel or Snodgrass would be good

Agree0 Disagree1

Who is this muppet who keeps going on about Gradel & Snodgrass? they are not SAFC players but would fit in very nicely with the current Mags team.

Love it how Newcastle are going against Barton, , such fickle fans

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Barton is as much to blame as the owners. I blame Barton for slagging the board off on Twitter and being unprofessional.. and the board for reacting in a way that is totally overkill.

Then again nobody knows the full story.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Barton, Enrique etc... are right to tell it how it is, why should players have to keep quiet, I'd have Barton and Enrique at Sunderland

Agree0 Disagree3

In a way yes, but not on something like Twitter. Plus we don't know if that is actually "how it is". Nobody really knows what is going on at our club, people just assume its Ashley straight away, and that might be the case.

Then again Jose has wanted out for ages, he could just be looking to leave but to keep the fans on his side by saying he's being forced out and such.

Agree0 Disagree0

At the end of the day put yourself in his shoes and enriques. Playing for a club who have sold there best players and clearly showing NO ambition. Coming from a SAFC fan barton is too good to be playing alongside average players every week. And at the end of the day the lad gives a 110% every game and wants to be picked for England. Which i would pick him If he goes to arsenal or tottenham and keeps his nose clean you never know what the future holds

Agree0 Disagree0

Its funny how everyone suddenly rates Barton as this great midfielder. He was good for City but never recognised for anything other than the trouble he caused. He came to us, went to jail and he was the worst player in the world. We fix him, get him playing well again and he has one good season. Now everyone thinks he's great again. This is a cliche but Barton kind of owes it to the club and the fans not to slag it off.

Up to now we've sold Nolan, sure he scored goals but if you've watched him play, can you ever pick a game where he was outstanding? Even when he scored 3 against your lot he was just there. Three massive goals of course, but his overall performance was nothing special, he is slow. Just reads the game well. He's barely irreplaceable.

Other than that we sold Carroll, sure I'd have liked him to stay on as our Number 9, but would you honestly tell me that you would turn down £35m for a player who is barely worth 10?

We only sold 2 players and brought in 4, maybe not the best but we haven't had a chance to see them properly yet. Jose has had his mind made up since last season imo, and Barton just wants to be the outspoken rebel.

Agree0 Disagree0

To add to that above post, I'm not saying I condone what Ashley is doing with the club, I'm just saying he isn't 100% to blame for everything that goes on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

He shouldn't waste his time seeing out his contract as he said he might do, he should get a move to a big club like arsenal etc..., play well, stop doing daft things and he will get games for england no doubt

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see Barton ever playing for England again. He has the quality but his attitude is so far off, even if you agree with what he's been saying his ego is f***ing massive clearly. Plus he will never fully get away from his past.

Agree0 Disagree0

Feck me . How could barton play for England?
I would be surprised if he can't travel to many more countries than just the USA
How is that going to work then?

a new rumour doing the rounds is that steed will be sold in next 24hours anyone heard this what about you ed:

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Well steed is in the squad for the match tomorrow against Darlington so I doubt he will be sold within 24 hours

Agree1 Disagree0

Most of the 9 new signings are playing at hartlepool tonight weaker side at darlo tomorrow. would like to see him stay but if a offer comes in i think he will go.

Agree1 Disagree0

Steeed is a cult hero and would always be fondly remembered. His nutmegs are legendary and always gives his all. But at the end of the day he's only scored 1 league goal and his final ball is awful. Still a fan fave thouigh

Agree1 Disagree0

Rumour about st etienne signing him soon. don't know th truth in it, Darlo could be steeds last game and if he does move then wish him all the best, a legend

Agree1 Disagree0

Maybe Fulham may take him back? he is loved down there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds true, its in the daily mail today. nice goal assists from steed but his overall game is CRAP.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't risk him tonight if his going don't want him injured good luck steed

Now that Barton is following Nolan out the door, Maybe Cattermole will take his nappy off and play against the Toon cos the 2 big lads who scared the S**T out of him last season wont be playing. Just a thought.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Ha you will never have a decent team again that spirit you had last season is slowly being destroyed with the so called "best players" of your team leaving are you prepared to be humiliated next season because trust me it will happen the premireship is laughing at you, goodbye newcastle united your about to be defeated

Agree2 Disagree2

Remember when we were going to be defeated easily last season too? But I took a knock to the head and suffered some memory loss, what were the derby scores again?

Agree0 Disagree0

Who scored 4 of those goals? Nolan and where is he again? where is Barton going the man who with Nolan bossed the midfield against us last season? now you have lost one player and will lose the other not to mention Enrique going and then maybe Jonas and Colo, your f*cked SGBS

Agree1 Disagree0

Maybe, maybe, maybe.. All you ever hear from you Mackems. Maybe Colo will leave, maybe Jonas will leave, maybe Wickham will be good, maybe Steve Bruce really is a football manager and not a circus act.

Agree0 Disagree0

And he has now been replaced so lets hope the guy who replaced him is better cos then he may get 5 past you wouldnt be hard

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep dreaming, reality check next season. Alot of newcastle fans I know think you could get relegated. squeaky bum time and you know it SGB

Agree0 Disagree0

Course we COULD get relegated.. Sunderland could also get relegated.

CARROLL GONE NOLAN GONE BARTON GOING ENRIQUE GOING POSSIBLY CUDDICCINI TO SPAIN ROLL ON AUG 20 MAD MAX

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Clown

Agree1 Disagree2

You took the words right out of my mouth "CLOWN" glad some newcastle fans are admitting there club is just one big clown one big circus :) x

Agree1 Disagree0

You need Ashleys help to beat us ha

Agree0 Disagree1

Max your a pratt You say anything that comes to mind " of these guys have gone no where so cant include them yet Henderson gone Onouha gone Gordon going Gyan going

Agree0 Disagree1

Onouha was on loan you person so obviously he was going back to city, Gyan isn't going, Gordon is injury prone so not bothered and Henderson was average and we got 19.25m for him so good business. newcastle are in turmoil and are losing their best players.SGB

Agree1 Disagree0

Sick of sayin this to people. what best players are we losing? cos nolan (not one of our best players) only played well when carroll was there. ok so barton is one of our best players but even he struggled for form when carroll left. COLOCCINI isnt leaving hes captain you fools. think yous take to much notice of the papers. if enrique leaves so be it. we have people who can play there. not a big deal. ashley might be screwin us fans over but we r used to it and we always come out smiling in the end. we are geordies and thats the way we work. all the doom and gloom mercents cant be true fans. i admire what your board is doing for yous lot but at the end of the day it could always happen to you. but roll on the 20th august for the best derby in the world
waughy

Agree0 Disagree1

Cudicini never played for Newcastle though..

Agree0 Disagree0

Doon with the Toon I would love it just love it if newcastle sold all their best players. KK

Agree1 Disagree0

SO I would be wrong if I said Nolan was Newcastles top goal scorer last season I don't suppose that would put someone in the category of 'best' player. Barton didn't stop making the passes when Carrol went he just didn't have the quality on end of his passes putting them in the back of the net. Surely having Demba Ba was ideal for that. I suppose spurs, manu and arsenal just want him for a laugh

Agree0 Disagree0

You would be right in saying Nolan was our top scorer, yes. He was important for that no doubt about it. But best player? Not really.. He is a leader and he is excellent at reading the game, hence how he scored so many goals for us but other than that what does he have?

Pace? Not really. Skill? Not really. Great dribbling and shooting technique? Not really. Average passer too. He just knows where to be, and obviously you can't fault him for that. You look at his goals last season and most, possibly even all of them were in or around the 6 yard box.

Bartons form did drop considerably after we lost Carroll, possibly for the reason you gave. But Cabaye is a good crosser, as is Ben Arfa. I'm sure, or at least I reckon we can do without them both. I'd like another striker who is fairly proven, but that is one thing I am not confident about getting. Especially since we wasted so much time on f***ing Erding.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was never suggesting you didn't have other good players. I was merely saying that in my opinion Nolan was one of your best. The leadership qualities that someone like Nolan bring are invaluable. Fabregas has pace and perfect passing and technique but if I'm losing 2/3 nil I know who I'd rather have on the pitch. Joey Barton had the10th most premier league assists last season-thats no fluke. Both quality players that would be a major loss to any side. How well your new players do remains to be seen. Hopefully Ben arfa can stay injury free because he looks like he could be a real asset to the premier league. Tiote very good aswell. As I said I'm not in the bracket of people saying you're loosing all your good players. Just think you're fronting it out a bit by suggesting them two aren't a big loss

Agree0 Disagree0

They are a loss, no doubts. But my point is they are such a big loss they can't be replaced.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aren't such a big loss.* -.-

how many sgbs on here are jealous that we got steve bruce as our manager and they have the puppet pardew they would have loved bruce up at sid james as he would have been another geordie coming home. but he knew the potential between the 2 clubs and he had no hessitation as joining the right one.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Keep him, he bought and loaned rubbish last year and spent a fortune, and he's done the same this year and couldn't keep Bent happy at 5under1and so not much of a man manager either, i'll never be jealous of your 2nd rate club and 2nd rate fans, your only good for banter and laughing at

Agree0 Disagree1

Seems like i hit a nerve there mate hasn't took ye long to bite. ye now in our shadows and before ye bring ye history out we are looking to the future with our manager (agent bruce) chairman and owner who 99% of fans get behind.

Agree2 Disagree0

I've heard Ashley's been secrectly taking his coaching badge's so he can take his arm out of the puppets back and get him off the wage bill.

Agree1 Disagree0

To be fair right, whatever's going on at our club all you have to remember is last season we scored 6, yes thats 6 past you and you scored 2 past us so yeah, i'm not complaining

Agree0 Disagree0

No nerve hitting, just what I think, he's rubbish, spends a fortune buying rubbish, whinges over a few injuries, after all we had nearly as many, and with a newly promoted and smaller squad (who would go straight back down, that's what you kept saying to us last year) we nearly ended higher... than your... soopa doopa.... expensive...established... premier league squad (that's what you lot kept on telling us last year aswell) ....and one year on and it's the same old hot air.... you keep him and we'll see if it's all hot air again next may

Agree0 Disagree0

If newcastle had nine players out injured at the same time i think you would have gone down and thats why last season sunderland fielded on a couple of occassions the youngest premier league team in its history and we still finished above the sgbs and now with that experiance some of these young lads are pushing for 1st team honours the future looks bright the future looks good at the sol a lot more than i can say for the future at sid james it looks all doom and gloom on the toon lads

Agree2 Disagree1

Thats what a squad is for And truth is you struggled cos you were just as bad as us half your team belonged to other clubs and you have had to replace them this season and your still crap You go on about us and leeds yet you get beat off burnley

Agree1 Disagree1

Yeah our squad was not strong enough the players who came into replace the injured lads were not good enough this time we have good cover and are stronger, we had to call up a few of our youngsters because of our injuries. Geordies biting love it Newcastle in turmoil and are a joke.ha SGB

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is leeds mentioned on this post

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve Bruce is a poor manager, never has and never will aspire to anything better than midtable.

Agree0 Disagree0

At Birmingham and Wigan he never had a big budget of money. At sunderland he has limitless pockets as long as we do well

Agree0 Disagree0

If he has limitless pockets, why could you not afford N'Zogbia?

Agree0 Disagree0

You didnt have 9 players out when we gave you a hiding so whats your excuse for that? We were bad but you were worse cos you hadnt just come up yet only beat us by one point nota great season lads

Agree0 Disagree0

We could but you honestly say its worth paying 9.5m for him and 4m a year wages. nope sunderland won't be held to ransom another sad mag making himself look like a fool with a pathetic post. still banging on about that 5-1 boring well once you get relegated next year you will still be banging on about it. you going to do what leeds and southampton did, get relegated and be in the s**t for a few years

Agree1 Disagree0

Mate come on, you all said we were doing a Leeds last time and it didn't happen. We have enough quality even if Jose leaves to stay up, maybe not do well, but survive which appears to be Ashleys ambition.

I wasn't saying you would be held to ransom, but clearly his pockets are not limitless. If they were he would have no problems paying that for Zog. Why do you think City pay £24m for the likes of Lescott? Because they actually do have limitless pockets.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well these sheiks(sorry about the spelling) do like to spend some hardcore money. Something neither of us will be able to do for many years. we can spend the odd 10m-15m but nothing in the 20millions like City can.

Agree0 Disagree0

They do, and that was my point really. The top clubs basically do have an unlimited supply of money. Sunderland have a good amount of money, but probably not the kind they'd need to see European football. Through league position anyway.
