i was watching the north east news this afternoon and their sports reporter said that we have a chance of europe because we are top of the form league.... im not saying we will get into europe and i dont want any stupid geordies commenting sayin im delussioned or anything all im saying is that it is isnt impossible

You had better ask the ne news reporter? yes you are 5th,so you must be in with a chance,only time will tell.for us to finish in europe,i think,would be nothing short of a miracle,after the start we had.i just want the team to continue their current form,and win as many points as they can.as i said time will tell.

That is a very good question. 3rd remark. especially as we are missing key players who will be back very soon.

It makes sense, just keep winning with o'neil and no reason you can't catch arsenal. only 7 points off.

Well thanks for not being an person in response glad to see not everyone of you are tools haha, i personally dont think we will get into europe but anything is a bonus considering where we were 2 seasons ago, but i do think we will just edge it between the NE top dogs purely because if we keep this form up then hopefully we will have tiote BA and cisse to come back into the team on a high and that would definetly not be a bad thing haha, but good luck on the 4th because the 2 dembas are coming

We have points to catch up, but I feel Sunderlands run in is a little more (on paper ) easier, no!! we arent going to win every game but as a points tally I see Sunderland edging it. I do however feel we have to beat the Mags ( OK a draw would keep things in the mix) to Make sure. There are still plenty points to play for! Lets be happy though for now, both teams should be safe for another Prem campaign, The Mags first season back in the PL and Sunderland pulling away from a poor start to move up the table. Everything else is a bonus.

Before Keenan in championship average gate 11,000-13,000 not loyal just glory hunters and before you say we had more two years ago you were flying top of league so it's obvious

Before Keegan we were on the verge of relegation to Div 3....that same season you's got to a FA Cup final against Liverpool so Blunderland was buzzing......we still had a higher average ....

Reading that Scumderland made a last ditch effort to sign Vertonghen of Ajax, but obviously he just laughed. Why dont they get their own scouting team instead of following the Toons about?

Another good win for your lot tonight...and good one for us too without our top players.

Looking forward to the derby.... a contest between 2 good teams, not like start of season where we were both shocking.

Would be great for us both to knock arsenal and liverpool off the europe places and why not they are both so unconsistent and we are winning games week in week out keep it up north east!

Agreed and thanks...we were missing a couple,but its all about the squad these days. europe? wouldn't like us to get ahead of ourselves,with big games coming up. hoping the derby is a good advert for ne.

Because of our poor start to the season i think europe is too far away maybe if we can keep our players with a couple of additions we could give it a go next season mad max

Reports in France say segesson will leave in the summer, going to Lille to replace Joe cole once his loan expires.
Also a chance he could move to Newcastle to play in Europe.
