You lot need to get a real grip. We win a few games on the trot and then lose one game and you want O'Neill out? What in the name of Christ is wrong with you?! I am a mackem but sometimes I genuinely believe that some of our fans are the most fickle in the land. If we win our next game you'll be praising him again! Stop being so negative. MoN is here to stay because he is not doing a rubbish job. We are not bottom of the league. We have a great squad and brilliant fans except for the clueless people on here. IN MON WE TRUST. HERE TO STAY LIKE IT OR NOT. Get behind him and get behind the lads. If you don't then you are only in this for the good times. - G

Believable9 Unbelievable7

No. In MON you trust. 'We' don't share your blind faith in someone who not only wins too few games, but has us playing some of the least ambitious football anyone can remember from a Sunderland team. And he is not here to stay, either, because the rubbish served up is slowly reducing faith in his ability. No-one minds supporting the team when they are struggling, but when the manager is major cause of the struggle he can expect criticism. It amazes me that he gets off so lightly, considering that we are no better now than when Bruce was sacked.

Agree5 Disagree6

'Much as I feel sorry for you losers who live your lives through this club'
'You will live hard, disappointed lives'

Can I ask, are these your sentiments?

Agree2 Disagree3

We are better off now you muppet. Better squad, MON is finally starting to build this team how he wants it. There is no point in calling for MoN's head after something like 1 defeat in 5. Get your silly little brain back together or if it was for you then I bet by now Mark Hughes would be here ending our hopes of survival. We WILL be safe this season, everybody knows that and as much as you hate to admit it, you know it as well. The vice-chairman has made it very very clear that MON is here to stay until the end of his contract. Get behind the lads. Next game if we win you will take all your comments back and praise him again I bet.

Agree4 Disagree4

FANTASTIC 12, months in charge 30 m spent and your best defence for oniell is we will be safe? That is not good enough he said the squad wasnt big enough so he let's 7 go and brings in 3 5 m for a striker he says will start from the bench for the forseeable future. Some of the most boringdirect hoof football I have ever had the misfortune to witness. Time is ticking his record no better than bruces

'My main emotion is one of disappointment, " tv Sport quotes O'Neill as saying. '
Yes, Sunderland's tactical genius again puts his finger on what is going wrong.

A hugely disappointing result today in a game that was there for the winning.
Other results went our way today and annoyingly, a quick check of the league table, reveals that a draw would have put us 10th. Needless free kick from Bamble for their set piece winner.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

We need to win these games if we are to stay up as the next game is agaisnt Arsenal!

Oneil out within the next month and Roberto Di Matteo to relace him well worth a sneaky bet

Believable2 Unbelievable11

Di matteo wouldn't go to a small club like you, curbishley next mackem manager!

Agree5 Disagree7

Shame the mickey mouse pardew is on an 8 year contract or we could of had him lol.

Agree0 Disagree3

This has got to be the unwashed trying to wind us up because they won 2 games but still below us ha

Agree2 Disagree2

Newcastle will finish above sunderland

Agree6 Disagree3

Haha one win at home and they think there unbeatable they really are deluded like 2 points ahead get in there!

Agree1 Disagree1

Yes it is 2 points, but it was 7.

Agree1 Disagree1

Regardless we are ahead. end of

Agree1 Disagree3

cant wait for the summer so we can get shot of these players

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Get rid of O'Neil! it's the players not the manager, give him time, there's obviously no money because the last two persons spent it all and left us in this mess, get behind the team and see what happens in the summer, be careful what you wish for we could get another Howard Wilkinson then looked what happened. haway the lads.

Agree11 Disagree8

And the manager!

Agree2 Disagree9

We are by far the worst footballing team in the premier league. fact

Agree8 Disagree8

02 Feb 2013 18:17:07
Its the manager we need shot of. I could get more out of these players than he can. he is soft.

Agree2 Disagree5

We already have another Howard Wilkinson! In fact this team plays less football than we did when the original Yorkshire Pudding was in charge.

Agree2 Disagree5

We are obviously not the worst team in the league you absolute moron. We are not rock bottom therefore we are not the worst are we? If it were up to you negative bunch I bet O'Neill would have been gone by now and we'd be in more trouble. WE ARE FINE. WE ARE NOT IN THE BOTTOM THREE AND YOU LOT NEED TO GET A GRIP AND GET BEHIND O'NEILL FOR GOODNESS SAKE.

every week we watch this mess of a team play they are the worst team in 10 years that's due to mr magic man oneil who seems to be unsackable times up for me

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Oh stop whinjing. MoN knows what he's doing. Lucky last 10 minutes for Reading won that game. Shut up and let MoN do his thing. We'll be fine.

Agree7 Disagree7

Short won't put up with this much longer!. the fans don't want boring footbal negative one up front tactics no skill pace in the midfield !. time to go Martin!. Bramble was very poor!.

Agree4 Disagree4

Every week we watch this mess? West Ham, Wigan, Reading at home, Man City at home, Fulham away.

Agree3 Disagree1

YET AGAIN RUBBISH EVERY WEEK POOR POOR POOR ES GET RID OF ONEIL he's SINKIN THIS CLUB TO THE GROUND!! ONEIL OUT!

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Put it this way either MON plays 4-4-2 and 2 up front or leave the club its boring and IT doesn't WORK why is it that every supporter can see that Flecher is always isolated bad tactics bad managment!

Agree2 Disagree0

Graham looked dangerous today but why only 9 minutes?. playing Fletcher and Graham together worked. why doesn't he do this week in week out. ndiaye was terrible. we should have signed sissoko!

Agree3 Disagree0

We are now in a relegation fight and and if we played 4-4-2 all season we'd have 10 more points ridiculous tactics by mon! again no plan be!

Agree1 Disagree2

Please take your negativity somewhere else. Or become a Wolves fan.

Agree4 Disagree1

Why do you all want o'neill out? You're in your always known place of mid table perhaps punching above your weight a bit!

Agree7 Disagree1

Looks like we haven't strengthened our squad enough 1-0 down after 7 mins at reading. It was clear on Tuesday that the midfield aren't good enough and he still didn't get another midfielder

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Good to see the manager keeping faith with the line-up that played so splendidly on Tuesday. That is what we need, unswerving stupidity. {Ed024's Note - Do you think he might be giving them a chance to make up for that performance ?}

Agree1 Disagree2

That would certainly constitute unswerving stupidity; when it don't work, don't fix it. ?

Agree2 Disagree0

By the way, I expect him to unswervingly tell us after the match that it was 'disappointing'.

Agree2 Disagree0

Mon is a fool he has to go. i'm off outside to burn my shirt

Agree2 Disagree2

One up fron doesn't work when graham came on we looked tottally differant but mon keeps playing fletcher on his own. bring back bruce!

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree its time to go martin!. reading were so poor!. we changed it again too late! that is bad managment

Agree1 Disagree1

We missed out on Sissoko WHY dint MON get him!. I've rated him all season!. we need skill in the midfield!
