I'm so proud, yeah we lost but we put up one hell of a fight, everyone was class, they, Man City, multi million pound team challenging for everything could not break us down as a team, it was just two individuals brilliance that done us and a fairly luck counter attack, we were class, the Poyet effect is in full swing, we threatened very dangerously and were calm and structured in defence, (Cattermole was fu*king unreal) but things don't always go your way, on another day we might have won 2-0 but it wasn't to be
We can truly hold our heads up high
The only poor point is that I think that sometimes we commited too many forward and were in danger of a counter attack, BUT I'm glad we had the intent and desire to get forward

The most important thing now is that we play like this every week, EVERY WEEK, if we do we will win practically every game and stay up convincingly

Mag in peace!

Watched the game today and thought you lot were the much better team in the first half. City were well and truly rattled. 2 wonder strikes early on killed the game off for you. City took charge then. Shame about fletcher at the end.

Genuinely feel you should be proud of today. Especially for the first half performance in which you looked on top.

I'm still on my way home and feeling very proud of the lads. I thought we put city under a lot of pressure even after their second goal. Loads of fighting spirit from every player.

Thanks Dmac

Sunderland gave everything today - Poyet got his tactics spot on and Pelligrini was clueless. Man City got out of jail from two moments of individual brilliance. I think Pelligrini just expected Man City to win their individual battles and had no plan B.
Cant help think Mourinho or Wenger would have been much better set up tactically. If Man City have ambitions to do anything against the better European sides - they will need a better tactician than Pelligrini.

Yea 2 wonder goals made the differences today. Still the fa cup final to look forward to

Great Final once again. Gave Man City a real good game especially in the first half and towards the end when we pegged them back in their own half. Great day, full credit to City, 3 very good goals, Nasri and Yaya looked lost first half but made up for it. Everybody was great today, proud of the lads.
HAWAY! :D

{Ed024's Note - Great team effort - score flattered City - should set us up for a good finish to the season}

Mag here in peace,
cannot believe how quiet it's been on here, good luck to the Mackems although it's a tall order, my big worry if I was a sunderland fan would be if you get beat badly that the arse would fall out of your season and you went down, hope not though I still enjoy the derbies although you lot have reason to enjoy them more lately
best of luck anyway
