Cuellar looks like first signing to be followed by Fletcher from wolves for 8.5m! Fletcher is a half decent player but 8.5m? As Jizz says in his posts, keep the faith but in my opinion the gap between the top 8 and the also rans, which includes Sunderland,Fulham,Stoke,West Brom, is getting wider. Mon has been told, NO signings unless he ditches some big earners and i wonder if he will sign any players under 30 to play in our defence.

Anyone in this league is capable of beating anyone else... How many points did SAFC take off the top 8 ? we didnt get beat of all of them, we even beat them on occasion . it was a fantastically tight season in the top flight last season and it made it one of the best Premiership seasons I can remember (and Im 49) I think there is better coaching and more skillful players in almost every team and long may this trend continue. Im looking forward to this season , not just to see "The Lads" but the whole league on general.

Larsson is gonna be a sunderland player for years, it's called rotation if we have McClean, Larsson and get Mcgeady or Johnson, to be fair if we had Johnson he would play most games

Sunderland will find it hard to attract top plays to the club. Come who wants to play up here, when you can play in London. The area is run down, Never had any investment since the 1960s. Same hopeless people run the Council with no plans to incourage investment or jobs. Footballers have got a life of leisure earn big money. Look at our shops and what Sunderland have got to offer very very very little. Even when we got made into a City we where told that it will add money investment, job and more. If anything the City is worse. Major employers gone. Empty industrial sites for 16+ years. Sunderland is a once proud forgotten Giant which has played a very important rule in the UK. Which has been washed away. So real the club should have on there shirts invest in Sunderland not Africa. And make use proud again to say I am from Sunderland. Not make use feel Forgotten City.

Even as a geordie, I think this comment is rubbish! Whilst it is slightly more difficult for our North Easy clubs to compete with the bright lights of London, Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough have been able to attract top players in recent years. OK maybe some came for the money (Owen, Kluivert, etc.) but others such as Cabaye, Bent, Larssen, Zenden, Cisse, etc. have still ventured here. In my opinion I think you're making up excuses cos you're worried about the lack of transfers so far and some of the players you've been linked with. I would have faith in MO, he is a good manager and will bring in the right players for the club at the moment and to be fair there's a fair bit of work to do after the sham that was Bruce. Keep the faith in the North East!
