No wonder the mags are always on here.
17 days to the start of the richest season in premiership history and they have signed precisely nobody and have a structure at the club that is a shambles with everyone pulling in different directions. Pathetic!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I still have a nagging worry that they'll do OK. They could still pull a rabbit or two out of the hat that could have a big impact and turn an average squad into a competitive one; may Remy could be it. They won't be as bad as last season.

Looking around at the likes of Norwich and Southampton, they'll be stronger too so its going to be a really tought season for the promoted sides but Cardiff and Hull are at least having a go.

With our revolution its an exciting time at Sunderland but I still expect us to have a tough season. With all the new players and the run of home games we have after Fulham we could be struggling by Christmas and its always hard to turn it around. I just hope we hit the ground running and our extra fitness helps in the early games so we can keep ourselves a safe distance from trouble.

Even if we are struggling, we have to stick together; this is not going to be an easy transition but calling for heads if it starts badly will not help anyone. Let's get behind PDC and the lads and give them a chance to deliver the goods.

{Ed024's Note - It will be a rollercoaster ride !!}

And now joekinnear has scared off bent haha gets better

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems you are jealous that you have signed 10 players and still have a squad nowhere near as good as ours.

Buying Danny Graham and N'Diaye 6 months ago and loaning them out again is the definition of pulling in different directions.

All we asked for was a striker or two, and we will get it.

We do not need a squad overhaul.

You still do not have any strikers or full backs. Altidore was a waste of money.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - I'm a reasonable man - most agree that Newcastle will benefit from not playing in Europa League, but that is not the basis for thinking 'a striker of two' will fix Newcastle. Newcastle conceded 68 goals last season - only 3 teams conceded more and QPR who finished bottom conceded 60. I agree you certainly need to belatedly replace Demba Ba - but defensively you have a bigger job to do.}

Wtf, If our Squad ain't better than yours why are you wanting our players
Bardsley, Colback, Sess
It's just sad, u can't accept we are building a really strong squad so instead of you trying to compete and buy quality signings too, but you try and weaken our squad by targeting our players, especially how we are enemies
It's just the lowest of the low

Agree0 Disagree0

Wait Gomis you pulled out as expected, Bent Agent Joe scared away and now Remy no loan you need to pay 8m that you can't afford, please tell me which strikers your signing now ? haha Pardwho will take you down!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll never understand this, your players are "world class" and ours are "nowhere near as good" and you finished how much above us again?if the difference between us is that small, your idea of world class must be world gnat class considering every team that finished above you guys.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not one of your 10 new players would get in our team. Facts are facts.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Now your just being childish. Time for a glass of hot milk and then up the stairs}}

So sess, johnson, giacc, altidore, fletcher, cabral won't get in your side? mmmmmm, not to mention colback who you were after and our squad player bardsley! mags with black and white eyes, the ed is right past your bedtime !

Agree0 Disagree0

I wonder if its a cash flow problem up the road.
Why doesn't Ashley get a pay day loan?

Agree0 Disagree0

World class indeed, so when I was watching "The Keystone Cops", alias Steven Taylor and company last season, I was watching world class?Taylor running round, tripping up, bumping into his own players, rolling around the penalty area as if he had been shot!Hope they are world class next year, I love slapstick comedy, and the toon provide all the laughs, both on and off the field. Hope the jellied eel munchers stay and show them who runs the club. because they have turned on nearly every manager they have had, including Sir Bobby Robson. World Class?, no, no chance, no class at all. Chris-s.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could Gomis be the rabbit I was predicting? Sky suggesting a deal has been struck between a clubs and player.

One way of solving the left back problem is by telling celtic to keep there 2.5 mill and we give them mcclean plus 2 mill for emilio izzaguirre! What a quality ball tonight for commons to score from! Everytime I watch him he looks class. Similar to julio and i'm sure he would be a fan favourite! I suggest him every window and I will keep doing it till he signs haha

Cheers ed

Anyone else think, going off PDC`s comments, that Colback is our left back for next year, if he signs contract obviously. Won`t alarm me as I quite like Colback although I won`t complain if we get Mr Rose back

In PDC we trust

Warning long post alert!

Every EPL teams has been givin 60 million each in the new tv deal so transfer fees are not the problem that's how Southampton bought the Celtic dude for 12million. The problem is with the fair play rules starting 2014 you can only spend money the the club makes in profit so the higher your wage bill the less you can spend. Di canio is getting players in who are not on huge wages and that's why Newcastle can't buy Gomis or Remy and maby even Bent there wage demands are just too high. Now I'm sure Di Canio would be allowed to spend big if he wanted but players like Moussa Sow would want 60-70k a week which we are not willing to do it would cripple future transfers. Once we have offloaded big earners like Bardsley cattermole Vaughan we might see a big signing but untill then we buy players who will be happy with 20-30k a week. That's the most impressive thing about this new staffing system. We have improved the team loads and givin new players less a week than what Bramble was on like Giaccherini on 30k who is an Italian internatonal when bramble and N'Diaye were on 40k No Wounder he loaned him out. This is the way forward this is the Di Canio revolution

Excellent post.

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't know vaughan was one of the big earners

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland's average wage was higher than Newcastle's, and, that was before you recruited another 10 players.

Bang goes your theory.

All joking aside, you do know what is going on at Sunderland right? PDC is doing everything and anything in his power to save you from relegation next season.

We are primed for action to be attacking the top of the table.

I am sorry if that offends, but let's be honest, it is the truth.

Agree0 Disagree0

How are you primed to attack the top of the table? you haven't strengthened your team that just scraped survival last season. the word deluded springs to mind. Safc93

Agree0 Disagree0

. This will be fun then seeing the deluded mags challenging for champions league next season

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to rember safc93 that they were the only team in the prem with injuries last season. Also their new signings have all gelled now ( miraculously ).
They will not miss Simpson Perch or Harper.
The nobodies that they sign will suddenly be transformed into superstars.
Remy won't go to jail and will take a wage cut.
Aston Villa will let Bent go for free and he will take a wage cut. Apparently he has gone back to basics and learnt what the offside rule is all about. He didn't think the rule applied to him.
Gomis will have his poor fifa rating increased after talks with JK. ( JK knows the ratings people and is going to have his rating of 5 ( poor ) over turned).
LOL.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you concede as many goals next season relegation will come a calling at sid james. pardew keeps asking for 2 strikers I think he needs to look at defenders I can only see one outcome and that is the dreaded drop for newcastle

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeez mate I love your posts also how can you post on deluded skunks page, I can`t

Agree0 Disagree0

Not all of my posts get through. Recently none of my posts got through.
They can dish it out but not take it.
We allow theirs on here, but our ed takes the p*ss out of them if they get too cocky. Their ed has obviously got no sense of humor.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whose posted on the Mags site posing as a Barca fan?
Cant believe their ed let than one go.
Absolutely priceless.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think there ed is a safc fan. why else would he let on they should sign Rooney and Torres they gona finish 4th. they have 300m fans blah blah. I think he pisses himself laughing like the rest of us. he defo gives us more ammo though :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

The Rooney, Torres and 300m fans stuff was one of you lot, and it was on this page, not ours.

Nice try.

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually I think, my deluded friend, it was your magpie and peas poster that wrote it and several times aswell
