sunderland have frozen season ticket prices for next season.
i think it would have been better to reduce the price to try and fill the ground..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

£25 average for a ticket at the SOL which is still abit much when the government are screwing the north east over for jobs, I wanted to take myself, the wife and the bairn to the boro game at the SOL and it would of cost £60 in tickets then vat and prices of travel n then food at the ground, you talking £90+ for the day abit expensive, you wonder why some people go to the pub and watch the matches coz its way cheaper, to be fair I been to the past 5 home games but can't afford to go for a while, anyway HA'WAY THE LADS!!

Totaly agree im a toon fan.
and its just getting far to pricey to take the family for a day out at the match.
like you have says its not just the tickets but all the rest you have to folk out for.

Newcastle fan here, not often we say this, but I hope Newcastle + Sunderland get into europe THIS season, let's knock the 'big boys' off their perch.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Would be great to see and with two clubs in europe would help attract top players to the region even more....about time we both competed up the league.....btw since MON took over sunderland no team in the whole league has a higher points tally...good signs for the future.

One little question though...what has happend to the pitch at S of L...it looks terrible, sure its not usually that bad.

Cheers to that !

Agree2 Disagree1

Why not.
if sunderland didnt have the start they had they would be up there with us.
its about time the north east started shaking up the prem..

Agree6 Disagree0

I agree. The Manchester, Liverpool and North London clubs have been laughing at the both of us for to long. It would be great if both clubs were in the top 4/5 of the premiership consistently. Then all of the media and so called expert ex pro,s might give our derby games the coverage we deserve.

The concerts in the summer reducing life of the turf. Terrible pitch must do better

Agree1 Disagree0

The pitch doesn't suffer because of the gigs, they are usually in the close season. The frost we had ( even with heating) with the last couple of home games back to back the ground hasn't had time to recover. The Pitch in the main hasn't been bad all season. Steve Bruce is our reason for not playing well up to MON (hallowed be his name) got here, I wouldnt want the pitch to be an issuse or a reason for us to moan about our playing when things arent well .
