Use our rumours form to send us sunderland transfer rumours.

Am gettin sick of watching sunderland now it's so boring. We have no prem team at all, all our defence are pap apart from rose who guess is not ours, colback runs about like a headless chicken and loses the ball 90% of the time, Larson has no pace or skill, Johnson is playin a bit better but he knows either way he will get in the team, sess looks a total different player since sighing new contract, and McLean is the most predictable player I have ever seen and in my eyes all professional footballer should be able to kick a ball with two feet for god sake they train everyday, so we either need to get a manager who can play a good team or mon needs to shape up and stop gettin players who have no club, that tells you something surely.

Time to face reality. MON a major disappointment- clueless man management, no tactics, no organisation, predictable and ineffective selection that has produced a team that does not even look good when it occasionally picks up a point. It is hard to think of any other job he might have where he would still be in employment after such a thoroughly ordinary year. If he had any judgement at all or any real affection for this club he would quit- he is not up to it and he knows it.
The players too should be ashamed of themselves, Rose and Mignolet are the only ones who have regularly earned their pay- though Fletcher might have if O'Neill had any idea how to set up a team. The defence is a shambles- the likes of Cuellar (a complete donkey) O'Shea (never good enough to play at CB, though was once a passable LB) Kilgallon ( why did we sign this player- he is not good enough to play regularly in the Championship) and Bramble ( another disastrous signing- as damaging to the club's status off the field as he is on it) all need to be shown the door. We need a box-to-box midfielder who can play football (this excludes Cattermole on both counts), wingers who can cross and occasionally beat a man ( Johnson does this occasionally, but not often enough to justify fee or wages, McClean would not get a game at Hartlepool, Larsson has lost all pace and crosses from further and further back) and a ball-winner who can tackle without fouling. In fact, the squad has not improved at all over the past year, it has just gotten older. If Short has any notion to build a successful team, he needs to acknowledge that he too has made poor selection decisions and start to put them right. We need a new manager who has some clear ideas about how to play attacking football, and at least four players to keep us up. Then in summer we need a complete clear-out of these free-loaders being paid thousands every week for consistently failing to meet basic expectations. This is perhaps not the poorest team I have seen in 50+ years of watching, but it is the most spineless, the most poorly drilled and the least committed.

If you want glory mate go and support Man U or Man City! I, ll stick with the club I have supported all my life.

Do me a favour, the worst team in 50 years? Maybe your getting that old you forget some of the rubbish we've had in the past. Things are not that great at the moment but its going to take time for MON to get the players he wants. Being a fan for so long you should know better than most that we have always had problems attracting the players we need to become a top class team. I do sometimes scratch my head at some decisions our manager makes but still believe he will come good.

Look at it this way !...MON hasnt signed many players ..but cuelar isnt good enough macfadden and saha a waste of space !..only rose and fletcher have come good so this month is important for his reputation as a top manager and for me at the moment i am not impressed !

spurs just signed another left back

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Rose would be a great permanent signing, i think we all agree on on that, but we need strengthening in positions all over the pitch and Mon cant do it in 1 transfer window. We will do well to survive with this team of losers.

I use to have sympathy for Man City fans ..... Years in the wilderness down to the 3rd division. I was genunely happy with their rise . Now their fans have turned into big time charlies the same at their rivals at Utd.
