Well i think that sums Matty O'nellys ability as a manager up, you are MORE points behing the Toon than when Brucie managed you. Yes a mug managi ng mugs, relegation battle again next season muckems?
Believable4
Unbelievable2
Yes we are by 6 points more. That means since O'Neil has taken over he has lost 2 more games in that time than Pardew. Or is your mathmatical ability that bad that your suggesting statistically(becuase he is behind by more points) that means he is worse than Bruce. Becuase it doesn't-far from it. We have had an average season. The Mags have had a blinder and irrespective of whether we had had O'Neil from the start we wouldn't have finished above you because lets face it we would have to be 3rd in the league and we are miles from having that abilty in the squad. Having said that I have faith in O'neil and with a couple of signings I think a big season is on the horizon.

He's had to manage steve bruces players for several months they where never going to be out of this world under him he needs to get players in of his choice not manage someone elses nice clear out in the summer cant wait 10 more sessegnons please martin

Excellent second comment down said it all
Agree1

You keep saying he had to manage Sir Brucey's squad, but it is the same squad you all said would get you into the top 6 and Europe. So really it is a S**T squad and Sunderland fans know nothing about football. Lets all laugh at Sunderland.

Its called positive talk what we supose to say aw yeah bottom half signings? even you lot where saying you where going to finish in the top 4

Peter Crouch - goal of the season.
Bite you bar codes bite.
Believable3
Unbelievable3
I'll bite. Name one goal any of your squad have scored better than the two cisse scored last night! SMB!

Craig gardener.
Agree2

Campbell and gardner scored miles better goals than his first. Crouch goal is goal of the season
Agree2
Disagree2
Only group of people in the country outside of stoke fans that say Crouch goal is better, must be something about wearing red and white.
Agree1
Disagree2
Who cares if it goal of the season or not. It was a special goal end of. Our league position is what pleases me most.

All goals mentioned are one of those where it either goes in the net or hits the stands if ye watch the champonship on bbc saturday nights ye see screamers every week but dont get the headlines

funny how the goon beat a chelsea reserve side and are back on here trying to tale the mick, what happened after wigan stuffed them 4-0? they went silent, Ironic aint it! but fair play to cisse without him the goon army wudn't be at the lofty heights they are now
Believable2
Unbelievable3
Mata, cech, terry, etc etc etc are the reserves...mmmm dream on what was your score down stamford bridge against the same team minus 1 or 2 ehhhh...jealous you are its plain to see...smb
Agree3
Disagree1
Reserves thanks for that. Taken a bitter pill this morning. A bad 45 at Wigan and the unwashed are on it. 7 wins in 8 games is impressive in this league. When was the last time Sunderland did that? Never that's right. Your season is over and our is still going strong. SMB.
Agree3

Chelsea were hardly gonna go all out for a win with a final a few days away no matter who was on the pitch sgb
Agree1
Disagree2
Between dec 21 and feb 8 sunderland lost 1 in11 not bad eh
Agree1
Disagree0
And every game 10 defenders...smb
Agree2
Disagree1
I rhink you need to re-visit that statement. Chelsea needed to win to stay in the hunt for Champions League. If they do not win the final then they are in the Europa competition. So they did need to go all out for the win. Any straw to grasp top SMB.
Agree2
Disagree1
I asked when was the last time to you won 7 out of 8 premier league games not your stato reply. What about 1 win in 10 not bad eh. lol. SMB.
Agree1
Disagree1
Chelsea players would have been told to go out and win the game but also told not to go too hard as they have 2 cup finals coming up and they wont want any injuries like most people unless ye a geordie say in 10 or 20 years time who won the fa cup in 2012 or the 2012 cl then you would remember but ask who finnished 3rd or 4th in the league most people wouldn't remember or be bothered
Agree1
Disagree0
We will remember and so will you. Another bitter comment. That was a must win game for Chelsea how do you think it will effect them if they are not it the champions league. They would rather be in that than win the FA Cup. FACT.
Agree2
Disagree2
How was it a must win? If they win the champions league they're in it next year! That's their priority!
Agree1
Disagree1
If the win the CL. Its a big if so finishing fourth would give them another route into the CL. So it was a must win game. Don't put your eggs in one basket, saying that that's all they have now.
Agree2
Disagree0
Check the pre match views of both managers. Now tell me Chelsea wasnt going for the win. Ridiculous! Clutching at straws once again.SMB
Agree2
Disagree2
Hopefully chelsea win the champions league that will give them priority over who finishes 4th and liverpool win the fa cup and that gives them priority over 5th and 6th so as not to play in europa league preliminaries

LUCK is the makems favorite word at the minute when nufc is mentioned....my definition of LUCK is the makems not being relegated for having such a sh*** season now thats LUCK...
Believable3
Unbelievable2
Na luck is short realising the s**te man we had in charge some lad from north of the tyne and getting rid because if he didn't then ye might have been right about relegation but with mon in charge we can only improve
Agree2

Wasn't this the same guy you lot thought had put together a top 6 and European squad? how things change. Lower your expectations next season so it wont be so embarrassing when we come on here laughing at the poor deluded mackems.
Agree5

So you may have champions leagues football next season and you're still planning your time around coming on our site for your kicks. Now that is desperate!

Desperate for having banter with our neighbours. Isn't this what this site is all about. IS it getting to you.... Not our fault that our season goes from strength to strength and yours ended months ago. I would blame Short and disco pants. SMB.

Sunderland ate 20 points behind us and still try and tell us they have a better team.

Sunderland were UNLUCKY to be stuck with Bruce for so long. Our LUCK changed when MON came in.
Newcastle has rode their luck at times this season, punched above their wieght and in fairness have had a very good season. I honestly believe MON will raise our stock next season and we will have a more positive outcome next season.

03 May 2012 11:16:33
Next season, next season is all the mackems keep saying. We will be above you and Newcastle will be fighting relegation? What exactly do you think is going to happen next season. You are mid table team who will most likely lose your best player Sess in the summer. Who do you really think is going to go to Sunderland? What kind of player of quality do you really think you will attract? Hope is what keeps us all going but delusion is treated by a doctor. SMB
Believable3
Unbelievable1
Lose ye best players if abramovich was at the game last night he will have been impressed with cisse and like everything else with abramovich what he wants he usually gets so dont be surprised to see chelsea come in with a bid for cisse then ba will go as he looks a bargain in his clause. krull has impressed so i think he will be gone cabaye and ben arfa not sure about. collo to slow so he will stay and if tiote stands up and becomes a man instead of a girl rolling around the floor then he will also be on his way so for teams losing their players ye want to get back on ye own page and worry about ye own players and where they will be at next season.
Agree1
Disagree2
Thank you for that rant. You might want to try some punctuation a little difficult to read in one breath. You still didn't answer the question though......
Agree2
Disagree0
How comes stevie gerrard did not go there then..mmmmmm every thing and every player has a price and judging by the way cisse is performing and u value sess at 10 to 15 million and gyan at the same cisse is 25 to 30 million..and the comtator last night vakued tiote at 20 million as he ran the midfield last night...smb
Agree2
Disagree1
Tiote rolling about on the floor did any of the edds on here watch the match as i,m sure tiote was on the floor and never moved hence the stitches in his head and stretched off...smb {Ed001's Note - he never rolled around on the floor to be fair to the lad, that was why people were so concerned.}
Agree1
Disagree1
Slating Tiote? That is laughable when you Sess, Mc lean and larson in your side. Pot and kettle springs to mind.
Agree3
Disagree1
Isnt it funny seconds after tiote went down he sat up and held his head then lay back down soft T***, he shuold of been sent of before it happened anyway very dirty player, oh by the way just drove back from work in L/pool listening to talk sport and its rumoured that a bid has been placed for Cisse.
Agree0
Disagree1
Tbh we expect lots of bids for cisse would,nt you have you seen him score a bad goal yet..but the profit we can get off him is probably no where near the profit from europe is it and as ashleys a buisness man who is there to make money it would make sense to keep him but lets just to see in the summer who,s players are going and who,s playing are wanting to leave as your teams pants...then the toon army will be back posting laughing again you wait and see..smb
Agree0
Disagree0
You hit the nail on the head, Ashley is a buisness man and he wants his money back out of the club, if an offer comes in he will sell as well as any other offers for Tiote , krul cabaye.
Agree0
Disagree0
Ashley wont sell every player if the asking price is inflated. Not sure where this selling club comes from. Ashley sold Carrol for a stupid over inflated price, which I would bet any club would have sold him for. Since then we have sold nobody and bought better players. So there is no foundation for all this he will sell everyone. Very bitter comment that one SMB.
Agree0
Disagree0
It wasnt bitter at all mate it,s the truth and most of your fans know this.
Agree0
Disagree0
Sunderland must be a selling club then as rhodes as gone and bent ohhhh sorry they wanted out asap........smb
Agree0
Disagree0
Truth. Who has Ashley sold other than Carrol. Sunderland are more of a selling club. Bent, Gyan, ring any bells. Both cpouldn't wait to get away. Gyan went to play in a sand pit league to get away from you. Speaks volumes. SMB
Agree0
Disagree0
Bent and gyan both wanted to leave the club for one reason and one reason only neither wanted to play for a sgbs say no more the guy was a typical geordie arrogant and full of sh**e he would have done to us what a certain alan shearer did to newcastle

Well I'm sick of seeing all of the other mackens on here. Making excuses. I hate to see that the toon have finished above us. But they have a good season and those two goals against chealsea were just pure luck :/ nah oj two contenders for goal of the season. Congratulations to that sum bags. I look forward to next season when we will hopefully have some quality in our squad so we can both compete near the top of the table FTM.

A bitter but honest assessment.
Agree3

Those goals were pure luck? by that assessment, any goal with a keeper in the way has an element of luck about it. the first was hit like a bullet, cisse knew what he was doing all the way until it hit the net. the second was just hit perfectly.
anyway, i like seeing sunderland (along with boro) doing well. southerners piss me off no end, so any result in favour of the north east is a good one.

No sorry mate I was joking about it was just taking the mick two class goals by him, have to say.
