This is not a rumour or anything but does anybody think we should try and sign Daniel Sturridge? He can play upfront or on the wing and has good pace and ability. He will not play often for Chelsea this season as they've recently signed the likes of Hazard, Oscar and Marin who are all attack minded, plus Di Matteo used to play Kalou over him last season who is at best average! He scored lots of goals in the first half of last season so Could easilly score 15+ goals for us.
Valued at 15 million+ and currently on 70k a week so his wages demands are to high for safc and if he came available i,m sure he would stop in the capital....
Yes would be a great signing, cant see him coming to us, he has been linked with a return to man city and i cant imagine chelsea parting with him and if they did it would be for big money.
Only possibility would be a loan, which i still think is unlikely.
Don't like him got great ability but a lot of the time can't do the basics and holds on to the ball for too long when there are better options.

If we are going to improve as a team though we are going to have to break the wage structure, otherwise we will carry on signing relegated players and free agents. Sturridge is a much better player than fletcher and is younger, plus if we got him for 15million as you said, that would only be 3million more than what we'd have to pay to get fletcher. And who's to say he would stay in the capital, he needs first team football if he is going to be considered for the national team

Fletcher is not moving to Sunderland. Wants a move to Aston Ville or Stoke. And thinks the club are being greedy. He just wants his furture sorted out ASAP. And get on with his career.

Well i wish sunderland would parade their NEW signings. Last few weeks its been, Adam Johnson - Done deal, Downing- Done deal, Nzonzi-Done deal,Ollson-Done deal,Llorenti-Done deal and now Gudetti-DONE DEAL!! In reality, Carlos Cuella Done deal and thats that. Next, Saha and maybe Heskey for experience up top, and after that?
