Is this what happens when there are no rumours; everyone gets entrenched in meaningless debate with Mags emerging from the shame of Joe Kinnear's appointment?

I'm not sure I care at this stage; I just hope we beat them twice and finish above them. For now, all we can compare is the perceptions of both clubs and I think, once again, our media coverage has been eminently more positive than theirs.

Enough now, let's have some more rumours to get excited about; Insigne anybody?

No more rumours for you, all your business is done. That would explain the Mackem raiding parties coming on our page and hitting the unbelievable button.

OK.

For banters sake, the skunks paid 2M to loan Remy so not exactly a shrewd piece of business after he followed the money last season. He did however seem half decent so could prove a successful loan. They might then be faced with the 'Danny Rose' scenario at the end of the season where QPR want him back or want stupid money to purchase.

All quiet in the SAFC rumours at the minute. Fingers crossed there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to offload the high earners and bring in replacements that are a blend of youth and quality on a more viable wage structure.

I personally hope we sign Peruzzi, either on loan with view to buy or simply bought! Rose would be ideal but I think that might go to the last day of the transfer window it it is to happen.

I think the players from the Italian league, ie Duncan etc, are now gone so our current squad might just remain as is until January.

As for getting carried away, i'm not! I am excited by the new direction the club is being taken, I am impressed with the new mentality PDC has instilled, and I am even more impressed with the work and fitness ethic. De Fanti also seems to have a good combined football and business brain so this model might just work.

The big IF is that other clubs are also strengthening their squads so we might just be at the same level. Hopefully not though and the new attacking mindset will bring us results in an entertaining way!
