Although my post below was a joke, tonights ballon d'or awards have got me thinkin bout 2012s best eleven. The panels team was made up almost exclusively of real and barce players, what about rvp, pirlo, kompany. What would your best eleven be? Lm86

By the way, team chosen by the panel was:

GK: Iker Casillas

DEF: Dani Alves, Gerard Pique, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo.

MID: Xabi Alonso, Xavi, Iniesta.

ATT: Messi, Falcao, Ronaldo

Just goes to show that all the worlds BEST players play in La Liga, the premier league is a hyped up circus.

There are only 2 teams in la liga, and they are both state funded. Funny how blatter and platini turn a blind eye to that little fact. if they were funded like every other team in europe messi would be wearing blue (man city or chelski) and ronaldo would still be at man u, along with most of their team mates.

Not too sure about that, agreed you cannot argue with the quality of both real and Barcelona, but in all honesty when you look outside of the top four teams in la liga the quality really does drop off a cliff. The share of the tv money over there is so weighted towards Madrid and barce as they negotiate their own deals that its hard for anyone else to be any more than a selling club. lm86

just had a good read bout this alfred n diaye and if it all goes through id love to see him in our colours, its wot we need a big strong lad in the middle of the park.lookin forward to c wot else mon does cos we need some changes(big ones).come on the lads..................................... safc 79

i honestly belive success lies within foreign players i know people on here will be saying people like you riun the game what about all the youngsters in the acdamey's i completly agree with you i wish football was like that 11 men playing for us all from sunderland yeah great but in the footballing world we live in now with money and agents its not going to happen if you want to watch that your better off at hartlepool darlington carlisle becuase if you want to win trophies and play in the best leauges in the world you need the best players going and there are all from abroad, as for this N'Diaye i think he will be a great signing and hopefully more players like this to come in.

What a crap comment ye its ok signing the top players from europe if your the likes of man utd chelsea or man city and you can pay the wages, as we are sunderland and we can't pay the wages our only way to compete is to try and bring some youth into the team and if we find any good players then keep them and build sides around them

I'll be a lot happier if we continue to sign the likes of N'Diaye. But can we really rely on unproven young players & 30 year old Hungarian's to guarantee our Premiership survival?

There's Proven players out there who are available. MON please prove you are the manager we hoped you where and go out and bring in some genuine quality. Get a bid under Tottenham's noses for Rose, Dawson & Huddlestone. Dawson would add real steel to the back four & Huddlestone can take the midfield by the scruff of the neck & pick a pass. And for god's sake get the boy Wickham up top alongside Flether so our midfielders have a target to actually aim for.

Mignolet, Gardner, O'Shea, Dawson, Rose, Johnson, Huddlestone, N'Diaye, Sess, Fletcher, Wickam.

This starting XI will get you a respectable mid-table finish!

Spurs have all ready said rose will be there first choice next season....

Rubbish !...they have just signed another full back so my money is him leaving in the summer and hopefully up here !
