As Poyet's dismal selections continue to show the mobility of a dry stone wall and the cutting edge of a pit prop, Altidore reminds us how effective he can be under intelligent management. Does anyone think that Defoe will score more for us than Altidore does for Toronto before the end of the season. .

Agree you can't compare these vastly different standards of leagues but Defoes body language looks as if he thinks "what am I doing " here being starved of service by a negative managers cautious attitude and tactics !
The problem for all our strikers has been service.

ed what's the truth behind rumours us being linked to Aladyce ? surely not ? bit like going from the frying pan into the fire !
{Ed001's Note - sorry mate, there is something in it. Allardyce is seen as an expert at keeping clubs in the Prem. It would be in the summer though, not right now. There have been feelers out regarding him taking over next season. All depends on what happens with West Ham, it is not certain he will be leaving there, but it is likely.}

See the youngsters impressed in front of Poyet today ! and Whatmore impressed again . we need some of these youngsters in the team now Gus but has he the guts to put them in instead of sending them on loan ! ?? or is he frightened they may actually play in the opposition half ?
