So you have had a few games to see what Allardyce can do, where do you think Sunderland will end up in the final shake up? Anyone still fearing the drop?

I think against the Saints tacticly and personal wise Big Sam got it badly wrong Ed! firstly playing to deep too defensively pumping the ball up to poor Fletcher who had no one to feed off! Defoe should have started and possibly Lens to actually create something we are going to be bored stiff headlong into the championship! anda common theme with Sam is he's blaming everyone but himself! . so far not impressed!

I don't know why he didn't play Defoe and Fletcher. What is so wrong about 4-4-2? Just because other clubs don't do it? It's obviously the best for us, that's all that should matter. If you're going to defend that deep, you can't play with a lone striker. He's too isolated. Even if you do get the ball to him he's got 2 CBs and a DM on him straight away. There's no link up. I don't think it's time to scrap a 3-5-2 either. With Coates, Brown, and Jones? Yes. But not altogether. I thought for the first time this weekend Coates put in a good shift. Maybe Sam is getting through to him. Him, Kaboul, and JOS I think could handle the back line in that formation. Especially if Catts gets fit and can play in front of them.

Agree SAFC in the USA we should be playing 4-4-2 at home . and only more defence minded away against the better teams! on Saturday it was plain to see there was a HUGE gap between Fletch and the midfield!
why doesn't the manager see this and change it during the match? Johnson was so deep he was like a defender! and the Saints were under no pressure at all bringing the ball out of their half! and playing players who are not fully fit ie Tovenain and Brown is a recipe for disaster.
