I am hearing a lot on Insigne!

Anything is possible, people must recognise this
I didn't give us a hope in hell to get Giaccherini but we have pretty much got him

Come on PAOLO

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Where are you hearing this

Agree0 Disagree0

Plz help me who are these players we have signed just that I've been out of the country and I've never herd of eny of them is this a worry?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 22:34:41
italian papers are saying that poalo has enquired about the availability of gamberini {Ed024's Note - Really 31 year old Centre half ??}

Believable2 Unbelievable13

10 Jul 2013 22:12:00
This Insigne stuff. Not a single post has mentioned a Christian name. Turns out there's four of them - Lorenzo, Roberto, Marco and Antonio - all footballers.
Is this a Nunez?
Sounds like nonsense to me. Sorry.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

No, It's Lorenzo
The one who dyed his hair blonde and played for U21 Italian national team

Agree8 Disagree3

ED why do you think we won't get insigne {Ed024's Note - I think if he moves he'd probably go to a team in Champs League, failing that Europa League.}

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Nobody in CL or Europa want him {Ed024's Note - We'll have to wait and see on that one.}

Agree3 Disagree2

If CL clubs join the race, he might do what Cabral, Ba and Roberge did and reject those offers for us because we wanted him first

Agree3 Disagree1

Okay bare with me it's gunna sound a bit rusty

I went on the Italian Source which suggested that Sunderland could sign Insigne, being an Italian Source it's in Italian, so I (sort of) translated it and this is what I got

•With Mertens etc joining Napoli, Insigne is slipping down the pecking order
•Rafa Benitez is wanting to change the entire squad and get rid of some good players in doing so, (just like PDC)
•Sunderland looking at many players in Italian league, Insigne is on the list
•He could be interested in joining, uniting up with friend Giaccherini
•Could move for 1st team football (world cup in mind)
•Being the talent he is, Sunderland willing to pay BIG money (this was in capitals) over 10m {Ed024's Note - I still maintain I will show my arse in Fenwicks window if he signs, but I hope I'm wrong it would be worth the embarrassment !!}

Believable12 Unbelievable9

Don't worry, I will as well

I'm just reporting what I read

Agree6 Disagree5

Going shopping in Fenwicks on Monday. Hope to god there ain't a big fat arse stuck in the window. On second thoughts if Insigne signs, I'll just have to grin and bear it {Ed024's Note - If he signs I'll be happy to drop 'em.}

Can I just ask. Why are you all hell bent on getting Danny Rose? Yes he's a good player. Bags of potential. But you all act like he's Ronaldo the 2nd. Don't get me wrong, I'd love us to get him. But most of you are obsessed. He wasn't THAT good last season. And he's certainly not worth £7-8 million.

Believable4 Unbelievable15

Yes he is

Agree11 Disagree3

They have put 10 to 12 mill for him

Agree2 Disagree5

Who's they

Agree2 Disagree1

Id pay it well worth the money

Agree2 Disagree2

Believe me he's that good. Why Manchester United want to take baines for 14m who's 28. This kids better younger and cheaper. Tottenham would be ridiculous to sell him and I personally don't think it will happen but do not mistake the hype to be from a bunch of biased fans. he is absolute class.

Agree2 Disagree3

Could be englands left back, he is as good as Cole now Baines only being better because of his goal record.

Agree5 Disagree2

Jesus, can't believe people are comparing him to Baines and Cole. Get real lads, my nan could stand out in our team last season

Agree2 Disagree4

He stood out in every game he played, both in defence, and attack. There wasnt an opposing player who had the run of him. So there! now' go in peace my son'

Agree2 Disagree1

Look I have watched sunderland for years and years danny rose is capeable of playing any position on the pitch except of course keeper.

Agree2 Disagree1

Thing is good players play well three games out of six. Danny Rose plays well at least five out of six. Therefore I'm in

Agree4 Disagree0

Ed do you think its possible sess might stay? {Ed024's Note - Yes its certainly possible.}

Believable6 Unbelievable0

I think he will stay nope he does going to have a cracking squad if we get these other players

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 18:50:33
Giaccherini has signed and has agreed a 4 year deal + ed sess scored 5 goals tonight - I have a slight suspision that giaccherini could be a mcclean replacement - it doesn't look like sess wants to leave also it doesn't look like di canio wants him to {Ed024's Note - He's not signed yet - but it looks promising.}

Believable4 Unbelievable3

10 Jul 2013 18:49:24
Giaccherini has signed for SAFC on a 4 year contact worth 2mil a year which is 39k a week. The transfer fee is 6.8mil. It's also believed Matri is in advanced talks aswell after a 8mil euro bid was accepted after Juve spent a lot of money on Tevez and Llroente. {Ed024's Note - Fee agreed but still personal terms to agree.}

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Apparently the lads on about 10k now so nice pay rise and first team football

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 19:59:30
Ed is it true that the Peruzzi, Giaccherini, Rose and Huddlestone deals are very close to completion {Ed024's Note - Peruzzi and Giaccherini are both agreed with the clubs just need personal terms sorting. I have heard nothing to indictae that Huddlestone and Rose are imminent.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Ed the hudds and rose is all over safc banter fb page {Ed024's Note - Thats not the most reliable of sources - hope I'm wrong but I am hearing nothing from any reliable sources that its likely soon.}

Agree1 Disagree0

First post you getting your info off andys twitter mate his info is the best about for sunderland deals must have 90% success rate

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 16:46:13
Ed what do you think on this team,

Westwood, Peruzzi, Rose, O'Shea, Diakite, Cabral, N'Diaye, Johnson, Geccherini, Altidore, Fletcher

Mannone, Robergee, Colback, Larsson, Cattermole, Graham, Wickham

Also any news on if Sess is staying or not? And the Mavrias deal? {Ed024's Note - If we get Gianccherini I can see Sess going. Personal terms to be agreed for Mavrias.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Colback, cattermole will not be at the club

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 18:54:13
Giaccherini has signed a 4 year contract with Sunderland. Peruzzi having medical tomorrow then confirmed this is class

Believable4 Unbelievable4

What a class player giaccherini is have just checked him out has scored sum excellent goals!

Agree3 Disagree1

Dont think he's signed yet especially as he's has not even had a medical yet. Looking promising for the deal to go through tho. I also believe Huddlestone will sign early next week.

Agree1 Disagree0

My sources tell me that Peruzzi and Gianccherini have release clauses written into their contracts, they will leave Sunderland after 1 season if a bigger club wants to sign them. Altidore has a similar deal in place. {Ed024's Note - Listen my black and white friend - take your fabricated tales elsewhere, how can Peruzzi and Giancherini have anything in their contracts - they havent got contracts yet. If your going to lie at least make it vaguely believeable.}

Agree0 Disagree6

Hey Ed, and the mags claim Di Canio hasn't got them rattled!

Agree5 Disagree0

Hope there's no police horses on duty in newcastle at the weekend, the geordies seem to be in melt down with all our top of the range signings

Agree0 Disagree0

Jealous Ge0rdi3s must be sick of their lives at the minute like!
All over the Mag Rag (Journal) that they won't be busy in the summer transfer window. And their" Nearest and Dearest" are struggling to cope with the queue of players lining up, who can't wait to sign for us. Happy days. Haway the Lads!

Agree2 Disagree1

10 Jul 2013 18:51:16
Gino Peruzzi will be a fantastic signing if he completes his move to us. This lad has so much potential and he will be a massive asset. let's hope things run smoothly and he is our player before the weekend. Happy with the signings and the way the management team are running our club and I can't wait for the season to start. A couple of more quality signings an I can really see us having a very good season. C'MON SAFC.

Sess got 5 in friendly
PDC still want him out?

GRAHAM SCORED, ABOUT FUC*ING TIME

Believable6 Unbelievable1

PDC doesn't want him gone. Sess wants to leave. Well if Graham scored (ok it's a friendly in Italy behind closed doors no doubt) but I think it shows that maybe the team is beginning to take PDC's way of playing and using the abilities they have to create chances for Graham.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 18:43:32
Got Giaccherini
Not sure what fee thought

Now get Insigne {Ed024's Note - No we wont}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

8. 75million he cost, hope he's better than McClean?

Agree2 Disagree1

My wife is better than mclean

He's class mate have a look at his goals

We just won 13-1 sessegnon 5, larsson, ji, mandron, roberge, Altidore, graham, karllson 2

The goal we conceded was a penalty after Westwood tripped someone in the box

Everyone shut up and listen, I am not lying, this is true

Many Italian sources are saying that we are prepared to spend BIG money on

INSIGNE!

Napoli have signed Mertens etc which has pushed Insigne down the pecking order, Sunderland want him and are willing to pay whatever fee but Insigne himself is a little sceptical on the move, but so was Giaccherini, now he could sign today!

Oh what brilliant things is happening at our beloved SAFC {Ed024's Note - I'll show my arse in Fewicks window if Insigne signs for Sunderland.}

Believable5 Unbelievable6

My what a midfield that would be! {Ed024's Note - My arse could play through the middle !}

Agree3 Disagree1

I have heard rumours about Insigne

PDC, you get us him and you can have my wife

Agree1 Disagree2

If your giving your wife away she mustn't be much cop

Agree4 Disagree1

Which Italian sources and are they any good sources

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't think there's anyway wele get insigne so don't get ya hopes up! Napoli are even trying 2 tie him down longer wit a contract extension, think this Woz a mag wind up or som1 who knows not bout football! Jarra makem

Agree1 Disagree1

There is nothing absolutely nothing in the Insigni rumor. I think this comes from one of our little Mugpie friends. No reports in the italian press AT ALL.
If you are a Sunderland supporter please stop with these posts as it makes us look like fools (like our friends up the road).

Agree0 Disagree0

Insigne is one of the most promising italian players they will not sell unless its 15m min, they will most likely want to keep him

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 13:24:20
A big THANK YOU to Ellis Short and PDC for the change that's happening at the club and the hopefully bright future ahead. I cannot wait till the start of the season to see all the new signings and what they can do.
Upwards and onwards boys, bring back the glory years of Phillips and Quinn where we feared no one.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Bring back the glory years of Phillips and Quinn where we feared no one.

The Glory years?Em did Quinn and Phillips not play in the 19 point season when you went down. Is that what" No Fear" means? {Ed024's Note Does anyone understand this ???? I dont mind the banter but there has to be some relevance and logic to it.}

Agree2 Disagree2

No logic in saying the Glory years where when Quinn and Philips were at Sunderland.
There is no Glory in going down with 19 points {Ed024's Note - Quinn retired in 2002 ! I think he only played half a dozen games that season !}

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed can you tell if joke inhere posted that last message mate {Ed024's Note - If he wasnt on holiday I could have beliveved it was him.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Might have been Shearer, still embarrassed by Tommy Sorenson saving his pisspotical penalty at "The Sid James School Of Comedy"

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm actually starting to feel like we could win something next season maybe leauge cup or FA cup would be amazing let it be year of the underdog again and let it be us craigsafc

Believable8 Unbelievable7

You will not be winning the 'finish above Newcastle cup. '

That is for certain.

Forget about the domestic cups, Moyes will be going after those in his first season as Manchester United are unlikely to challenge for the title.

Agree1 Disagree8

No way, it's too early. Still teams far better than us. Depending on how next season goes, I think we could be in with a shout in the next couple of year.

Still excited for this season though.

GrantInRealLife

Agree5 Disagree2

Err didn't Wigan win the FA cup? So why couldn't we win a cup?

Agree5 Disagree1

Exactly lads I haven't been this excited for a season since we had Phillips and Quinn up front craigsafc

Agree3 Disagree1

And why not concentrate on the cups if we have a good start and middle to the season if we get in the top 10 I will be happy winning a cup or coming runners up is a good way to get into Europa league just my opinion bit optimism I know but why not dream everyone else seems to craigsafc

Agree2 Disagree0

Id be happy with a top 8 finish don't run before you can walk remmember this is a brand new team!

Agree1 Disagree0

Top 8 sounds like running to me. 'stay calm, and carry on'. {Ed024's Note - Mid table is a sensible target and try to kick on from there.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Look if Newcastle got a top five finish with a pile of sh**e then I can see no reason why we can't aim that high. if they think Newcastle have a squad better than Spurs Liverpool and Everton I think ours will be better than Newcastle once Paulo and Ellis has finished so another reason why we can't aim that high. Also I think PDC will be playing to win in every competition we participate so no reason why we can't win a cup. Before any mag comes on and has a swipe take a read of what one of you wrote, Moyes will be looking to win a cup as Manchester United won't be in the top 4 this year is that the same side who won the league by 11pts and 17pts in front of 5th placed Spurs don't think he knows a great deal about football deluded as usual {Ed024's Note - Nothing wrong with aiming high, but with so many new faces there will be some bumps along the way.}

Agree1 Disagree1

European spot and 6 easy points off the horse punchers.

Agree3 Disagree3

AHA that's the biggest deluded piece of crap I have heard from you mackems. with what ever signings of your current targets you make, we still have far better quality than you. {Ed024's Note - Far better quality ....where did you hide it ???}

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 09:54:04
A paper in italy has wrote an article saying goodbye giaccherini and saying he is close to joining us. Safc93

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Hope we can afford his wages? that might be the sticking point!. again!

Agree2 Disagree1

His wages are a lot less in Italy.

Agree2 Disagree0

Italian wages are in the public domain in Italy. He's on 10k a week. Shocking when bardsley is on 31k.

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 09:11:52
Apparently peruzzi has accepted an improved offer and will have a medical friday. Safc93

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Hey man Paol03 is just class! You can see what he is doing. Not for him to just parade the latest signing, Altidore. He's waiting for Peruzzi and Geccherino to sign, then parade all 3 to the media for maximum impact. Man's a legend. Haway Paol03 lad!

Agree4 Disagree1

Just need a left back now!

Agree2 Disagree0

I can see no article on the internet where it says peruzzi has agreed terms so where does this news come from?

Agree0 Disagree1

10 Jul 2013 08:51:00
Ed is there anything to these rumours that colback is off to the toontanic? safc93 {Ed024's Note - I guarantee there is nothing to those rumours, still every chance he'll stay.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Cheers ed. Just thought I'd ask as there is a few people mentioning it on their site. Safc93 {Ed024's Note - Unfortunatley for them its straw clutching time.}

Agree4 Disagree0

I hope so, let them deal with his constant sideways and backward passing, he can't pass forward can't tackle can't cross can't shoot can't score he's got no creativity he's too slow brings nothing to the team. I've watched him for two seasons and I can't for the life of me understand where this colback hype has come from. I just don't get it

Agree1 Disagree4

Hull will be after him!. Bruce is a big fan of his!

Agree2 Disagree0

I thought the lad wasn,t much, but the last few games of the season he seemed to have come on leaps and bounds. was by far our best player during this time. would rather keep a good grafter like him than twisty slow larsson or vaughan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hull will go after McClean, the mask signed him for Sunderland, correct?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2013 05:20:56
Ed do you think we will get damio or osvaldo? {Ed024's Note - No - if they move I think they would go to clubs playing in Europe.}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

10 Jul 2013 00:09:31
It's ironic ain't it

The are saying we are getting nobodies, whilst they are celebrating over a link between them and a rapist, we are linked with these,
Peruzzi, Rose, Huddlestone, Giaccherini, Damiao, Osvaldo, Matri!
I'm not saying we are getting all of them but the club is showing MEGA ambition, and shows Short is up for spending BIG money this summer,

Oh yeah, almost forgot, these nobodies like Cabral, Ba and Diakite all rejected teams like Spurs, Arsenal, Lazio, Napoli to join us

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Spot on FTM!

Agree6 Disagree1

Dont worry about what the skunks are doing mate, they bought their nobodies in January, and they were nobodies, they gave us the easiest three points at Sid James Poke that we got all season, if the season was three weeks longer they would have been relegated.

Agree4 Disagree0

You do remember we finished ABOVE you right? So by your reckoning you would also have been relegated! Muppet! {Ed024's Note - I think the point being made is that Newcastle form dipped at the end of the season - in Newcastles final 8 games they conceded 16 goals and only scored 4. On this form if the season had continued............down.}

Agree2 Disagree2

We had a terrible season and still finished above you.

You had an average season, finishing where you were expected to finish.

We are expected to be in the top 8, you are expected to be in the bottom 8.

You could only dream of signing players like Mbiwa, Debuchy & Sissoko.

Have to laugh at the person saying ''Cabral, Ba and Diakite all rejected teams like Spurs, Arsenal, Lazio''

We are the giants of the North East, you are the pretenders!

Agree1 Disagree6

You remember we beat you 0-3 right

Agree4 Disagree0

Our average smashed your so called super stars! How's the transfer window working? Muppet go smack a pony!

Agree3 Disagree0

You must remember my deluded friend. You brought in all your foreign legion in january. Had a manager that had been there all season. And had the worst dip in form in the league come the last seven games. True we were a woeful team last year. But we made a change by bringing in paolo di canio. Which made a huge impact. Because if we didn't make that change we would of been relegated for certain. Now sunderland are making huge changes all the way through from coaching staff to scouting staff and are taking the club in a completly different direction. While up the road at your place you are making yourselves the laughing stock of the league. Appointing joe kinnear. Who is clearly a complete tit. We are strengthening our side tenfold. And you are all s***ting your pants. Seeing us attemting to make major progress whilst your club sits there doing naff all. Signing no one. Linked with a money grabbing waster and a rapist. And all you do is prove how sad you are by trying to mock sunderland. Simply because you have nothing to talk about. From board room down to the pitch. Everything about you all is s***. Now put your dummys back in and stop crying just because you know we are going to obliterate you next season in league standings and both derby games. FTM.

Agree4 Disagree0

Aye & beat them easily, all 3 of your mentioned superstars, Cabaye, Sissoko, & Debuchy played like 2nd division footballers

Agree2 Disagree0

PDC only got you about 2 good results last season. Total honeymoon period syndrome and you have let him loose changing the club top to bottom, sounds risky to me.

It was MON's side that beat us, Di Canio just came in and flapped about a bit.

Didn't Di Canio oversee you getting turned over for 6 by Villa after he had time to make his changes?

I mean who gets knocked for 6 against Villa LOL. {Ed024's Note - 2 good results was enough to save us - that's the point.}

Agree1 Disagree2

Give them a break Lads, they have a few new players. Shola Amamobi, Ben Afri and the best of all Yohan Kebab. got to love the new Newcastle director of football.

Agree3 Disagree0

Turned over by Villa, at least it was not 6 going on 26 at home against liverpool. All of your new January signings played a blinder mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Children, children calm down. Let's all be friends. Sunderland fans, this is a work in progress, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Time will tell.
Newcastle fans, you'd do well to try and conceal your obvious concerns over our ambitions a little better - and remember, the earlier you get used to playing second fiddle to Sunderland, the happier you will be.

Agree2 Disagree0

Their club is a laughing stock and they still got the balls to try mock us ha ha u lot can't hide the jealousy and its soooooo funny.

Agree0 Disagree1

Cb:O'Shea
Cb:Diakite

Rm:Johnson
Cm:N'Diaye
Cm:Cabral
Lm:Giaccherini

Fwd:Altidore
Fwd:Fletcher

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I think if matri comes I think fetcher will be siting on the bench!

Agree3 Disagree4

Matri can play wing or attacking mid

Fletch has pretty much booked his 1st team spot already, Di Canio has given him so much praise and he hasn't even played under him yet

Agree4 Disagree1

Fletcher will be away within a year, he will fall out with the Mad hatter and tell him where to go, Then it will be him or me and PDC will ship him out.
You may beable to slap 2nd division players about but you can't do that to Premiership players.
He had the ready made excuses when he went to Sunderland (fitness, Mindset, etc) but now this is his Team and the failings are down to him no one else. Bring the season on I say and watch the house made on the Foundations of mud fall {Ed024's Note - Lets see}
