Giaccherini has signed for Sunderland after passing a medical he is on his way to meet up with the squad where he will be unvailled in a SAFC top. FIFA website has confirmed he has signed today.

Believable16 Unbelievable10

Just checked FIFA website it says has has signed for us. Don't know how this can be unbelievable when it's on FIFA website after all don't they get confirmation about all transfers? {Ed024's Note - Their coach Antonio Conte has also confirmed the deal.}

Agree14 Disagree1

Considering Fifa have to sort internatonal clearence for all transfers and they say he has signed for Sunderland means he has signed for Sunderland. Just got to wait for the photos of him in a SAFC top now probs tonight or tomorrow they will release these.

Agree14 Disagree1

I read that on the fifa page but until the club confirms, I believe nothing!

Agree9 Disagree4

It is on the FIFA website

Agree8 Disagree0

From fifa webpage
Italy international midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini has joined English Premier League side Sunderland in a €9m deal from Serie A champions Juventus, the Italian club's coach Antonio Conte said.

"I'm not happy about Giaccherini's departure but with this €9m we can take Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente, " Conte said in reference to funding the deals for the club's two high-profile new strikers.

Giaccherini rarely figured last season for Juventus, but was part of the Italy squad at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup where he scored twice.

The 28-year-old will link-up with fellow Italian, Paolo Di Canio, the coach of Sunderland.

Agree6 Disagree0

Juve are laughing all the way to the bank.

9 million for a useless sub they wanted rid of anyway.

No spring chicken either, he will be worthless when his 4 year contract runs out.

And all that for a guy that is 5ft6 and will get bullied out of the game by the likes of Huth & Cahill next season.
{Ed024's Note - Worthless in 4 years - my, I bet that was a huge consideration when bidding for an established Italian international player. Have you eaten your words over Altidore yet ? Looks with Peruzzi's coming to so might be a double helping of humbe pie !}

Agree2 Disagree8

And some sour grapes with that humble pie SGB

Agree4 Disagree1

Mate, just to put it simple
Go on YouTube, you will see that he bullies defenders
Did you see him in the confederations cup, fantastic against Brazil and Spain

Just so you don't say that it only shows his best bits, well he is an extremely consistent player, he literally doesn't stop running

Agree3 Disagree2

Thats ok everyone laughing at you sad sorry lot who in their right minds would sign for you even your better players hmm wanna be out and that's off one of your players

Agree2 Disagree0

Apparently NUFC scouts are in south korea. and they think we are looking at bad players

Agree3 Disagree0

According to quite a few in the local pubs in roker and Fulwell Dave Whelan of Wigan has been spotted in Sunderland if this is true I wonder why?

Agree0 Disagree1

Green eyed monster is out again!

Agree2 Disagree0

To be far to the guy a couple of comments above the players the players newcastle are looking at are pretty talented I've heard they're after nee foo Kin wan and even foo Kin sh*te

Agree4 Disagree1

I've heard they are scouting Sum Won Soon! Hope they get him!

Agree2 Disagree1

We could sign messi and the would still say he's rubbish. Don't forget they only sign world class players! Muppets.

Agree2 Disagree0

Wonder what Steven Taylor thinks of Giaccherini?

Agree2 Disagree0

They are in for Bent, it makes you laugh at the double standards.

Agree1 Disagree1

Well if he can easily beat the defenders in the Italian league, I think he'll be ałrite against the Steven Taylor's

Agree3 Disagree0

Steven Taylor, ha ha ha, the Keystone Cop defender running around bumping into his mates and tripping up all over his penalty area, oops, just showered the wife with tea through laughing.

Agree1 Disagree0

Talking about taylor. can, t stop hearing the "benny hill tune"

We are very close to signing Huddlestone
My only worry is that he fails his medical, been struggling with an ankle injury for Ages!

Believable9 Unbelievable2

On tv, he passed and is signing soon

Agree3 Disagree1

Is McClean being sold?

Agree5 Disagree0

What tv mate?

Agree5 Disagree0

Huddlestone to be confirmed with Peruzzi on Sunday have also heard that rose is keen to sign however we are not willing to pay 10mil so we are to offer a take it or leave it offer of 7.5 mil

Agree4 Disagree0

I think now that maclean will get a chance to do what he's best at beating a player and whipping crosses into a busy box we will see a big improvement last season he had to hold the ball up n draw defenders but without any movement from rest of team so it was a back pass or lost ball, will probably be used as an impact player tho,

Agree2 Disagree8

10m for rose WTF
thought it was 7m

Agree3 Disagree0

That McClean post is nuts, can't honestly blame other players for McClean proving to be a v poor premier league player. need to face facts, he has been completely found out and is unbelievably easy to play against if your a defender of a reasonable standard. i'm pretty confident we'll try and sell him now.

Agree11 Disagree1

All McClean does is get the ball and kick it past the defender and chases after it

If he was a super quick he'd be one of our best players but he ain't

Agree8 Disagree4

You are wrong. McLean does not knock the ball past the fullback and run after it. If he did he would be more successful. He always receives the ball standing still and then knocks it inside failing to spot the space behind the fullback. He has the legs to knock it past the fullback and run past him but never does it and it drives me mad!

Agree5 Disagree4

Name one player in last seasons team who looked like they were on their game and showing any consistant form, heads dropped faster than bigg markets thongs

Agree3 Disagree0

Migs was the only player to be consistent all season

Agree5 Disagree0

And danny rose.

Agree6 Disagree1

So was Fletch until he got injured

1 goal in 3 shots
Not that bad if a record

Agree5 Disagree1

Theres no point running past the fullback though if your team mates are rooted to the halfway line you only end up pinned in a corner or trying a wild shot, let's see what happens when we attack as a unit

Agree2 Disagree0

Correct

Agree2 Disagree0

Anyone think McClean could operate as a left back? One of the things I like about him is that he always chases back and isn't scared to put a tackle in. Would rather have Rose obviously and not bothered if we lose McClean but just a thought?

Someone said we apparently put a 14.6m bid for lorenzo insigne in the Italian papers but which site did you find this in

Believable7 Unbelievable8

My brother texted me at 4 in the morning so I don't think he was lying to me

Don't know where he got it from though

Agree8 Disagree3

Please ask him mate

Agree4 Disagree0

11 Jul 2013 16:18:23
Where is everyone hearing this lorenzo insigne rumours I can't find any sources saying this

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Some Italian sources {Ed024's Note - Thats the vaguest post ever !!}

Agree5 Disagree1

Right I'm not lying here

I have seen 3 Italian sources about Insigne possibly coming to us

But, I didn't memorise the website link, sorry!
All I remember from the most appealing one was A pic of Insigne under it, and Sunderland written under it

Agree3 Disagree2

Ragu dolmio and heinz sauces

Agree2 Disagree6

Can you please try and look, I don't mid if you can't find it but I really would appreciate it. Thanks for all your suggestions

Agree3 Disagree0

Ill try!

Agree2 Disagree0

Have a look in your browsing history you'll find the website in there, don't tell me; you've cleared the memory

Agree2 Disagree0

Na, I'm trying to put 2 links up but it ain't working, might come up in 30 mins

Agree0 Disagree0

What are them two links I'll put it in but a big thank you for trying

Agree1 Disagree0

I got this from the Italian source, So it pretty much says, Rafa Benitez wants to revamp Napoli, (much like PDC) which means selling some top, distinguished players such as Inler and INSIGNE because of the arrivals of Mertens and Rafael, probable signings are Gonalons and Callejon as well.

Insigne is wanted by Sunderland!

Agree13 Disagree1

It ain't happening mate, he's a wind up

Tottenham's Clint Dempsey has been made available by Spurs and Sunderland have emerged as an interested party. (Times)

Believable3 Unbelievable9

Its only a flimsy yank link someone over there wants dozy altidore and dempsey playing together, tbh i'm not convinced by either

Agree3 Disagree7

The owner is a flimsy yank

Agree1 Disagree8

Our owner puts his money where his mouth is unlike your joke of one that will sell if he gets an offer! Now that's commitment! Signed anyone yet? Didn't think so.

Sunderland in talks with Yilmaz along with another club probably not get him but great intent

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Great player but think it would cost upwards of 15mil to sign him. Maby a bit out our reach. Di Canio is looking more towards Matri at half that cost 7-8mil.

Agree3 Disagree0

Juve want 10m

Agree0 Disagree2

Matri does not score lots of goals!!

Agree2 Disagree0

11 Jul 2013 13:19:40
Heard from a close source that we not going to sign rose because of him not liking di canio, and we going to sign joe Bennett for 5.5 mil.

chrisgreen93

Believable0 Unbelievable13

Is this the Joe Bennett who plays for Villa? If so someone is having a giraffe.
5 and a half million?
Have Sunderland seen him play?
Lambert will snatch di Canios hand off.

Agree5 Disagree0

I thought it was Tony Bennet, boom boom

Fee Agreed For Huddlestone

WE NEED ROSE NEXT!

Believable14 Unbelievable4

London Evening Standard says Huddlestone set to take pay cut to join Sunderland

Agree4 Disagree1

Yeh just wait to see wha5t he wants as personal terms now. Maybe a long process.

Agree2 Disagree0

Villa fan here with a polite enquiry.
Just how many players is your lunatic manager trying to sign before he decides he has enough? That must be about 17 now, none of them that anyone has ever heard of and most of them with names you can't prononce without giving yourself a hernia.
Please sign Huddlestone though, as it will stop Tottenham trying to farm him off to us in part echange for Benteke.
{Ed024's Note - After last season we thought he might buy an entire new team - just didnt think he'd buy 2 teams !!!!}

Agree2 Disagree7

No need to be bitter. You stole Bent from us, we didn't offer him to you.
The fact that you lost £20m on the deal is all on your own shoulders.
LOL.

Agree10 Disagree1

Who had heard of Benteke before you signed him?

Agree3 Disagree2

Who had heard of beneteke? or half of the manchester uniteds team? its called a scouting system mate.

Agree3 Disagree1

Had any of you villa lot heard of benteke? Didn't think so. Jog on!

Agree5 Disagree0

You don't know who sunderland are signing you never heard of them mr villa fan!! but you will next season my friend!!

Agree2 Disagree0

I've got a bet on at the bookies for you lot to be relegated next season under the Italian genius.
The only thing I can say is that although I've never heard of any of these players he's signing they have got to be an improvement on the terrible shower who came down here last season and were hammered 6-1.
It was only Wigans failings that saved you from the drop last season, not the brilliance of de Canio.

Agree0 Disagree0

Villa were woeful last season. Benteke kept your shower up. See how you do without him this season. Lambert is well out of his depth in Prem.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bent has only flopped at one club in his career-VILLA. 24million down the pan. No wonder you nearly went down with the jokers running your club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Money wasted mate. Yeah we were awful against villa but against the mags and everton we looked brilliant, most of our squad was awful last season but the players he is bringing in now are fairly decent. And in all fairness you did get beat 8-0 by Chelsea.

Agree2 Disagree0

I don't know about Lambert being out of his depth in the Premiership but di Canio most certainly is.
At least Lambert has only brought in five unknown foreigners this close season not seventeen who will never gell together as a team in time to save you lot from the drop. Trust me. {Ed024's Note - How do you think you will do without Benteke ?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Well ed I think we'll be o. k. Either the manager will find us another Benteke with his unrivalled eye for a player or we will go with what we have. Last season was a learning curve for our youngsters and now they have had time to gell they will be fine.

Papers this morning are reporting the deal is done for giaccherini. I doubt it is yet but think it will be done soon. Safc93

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Class signing if he comes

After all the money Sunderland AFC have spent so far how much have we got to spend I am on this website 4/6 times a day and still can't keep up we have spent around, £6m Jozy Altidore, £2m Vito Mannone, £1.5m David Moberg Karlsson, Duncan Watmore Unknown, so far that makes £9.5m but with £4m Gino Peruzzi, £6.8m Emanuele Giaccherini which makes £20.3m

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Be around 40m

Agree3 Disagree2

Not forgetting the sales of migs and elmo etc. so we haven, t spent big. YET

Agree6 Disagree0

You also have to add signing on fees for the bosmans. They don't really sign for nothing

Agree3 Disagree0

That doesn't sound a million miles away. There'll be a bit for Ba's compensation to add too.

I guess if we offset the outgoings; Mignolet £10M and El Mohammedy £2M it brings the net spend down to c£8M to date.

More to follow in both directions me thinks!

torino website states that sunderland have put in an undisclosed bid for ogbonna fingers crossed

Believable7 Unbelievable7

According to many sources and in Italy we have signed Giacchirini for £6.8 million!. brilliant signing!

Agree7 Disagree3

Stop posting rubbish and get back to sleep my Newcastle chump

Agree6 Disagree2

Deal agreed in principle he still has to pass a medical then sign on the dotted line just look at mendy I will wait until he is holding up a sunderland shirt before I get excited. Mavrias due medical next week peruzzi nedical this week and sounds like huddleston too. Happy days

Agree5 Disagree2

Ogbonna undergoing Juventus medical, so I seriously doubt he'll be on Wearside anytime soon!
