Hi ed

Ive heard a rumour that we are after 20 year old brazilian playmaker daniel bessa from vicenza! (I only know this from what my mate has said) Apparently he used to be at inter milan and de fanti rates him highly. Only problem is his injury past. This was from the same lad that told me about de fanti being john guidetti's agent and he swears we will eventually get guidetti this summer! Do you know anything about daniel bessa ed? Cheers mate

Dave the mackem {Ed024's Note - Only that he has played very few senior games, has had 6 months out with a cruicate ligament, but is highly rated - one for the future.}

ED are we actually interested or made a bid for Abameyang {Ed024's Note - No i havent heard this and its not being reported in the media - I think we have rejected him on the silly name rule - that name sounds crazy when you say it out loud.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Anzi have bid 25 million for him.

Agree2 Disagree0

Not a hope

Stick in a cheeky bid for Alexander Esswein he's has pace, a nice shot, good in the air, and he's not a big name player so we will get him on the cheap {Ed024's Note - He doesnt get enough goals for me.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Nice on Fifa, but not for me in the real

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jun 2013 21:17:50
Lucas piazon said he would love a loan move to a premier league. I would take him he's a fantastic player

Jesus, the amount of times Ed has had to say talks are on going with Cavanara

By the way ed, what's the latest on the Cavanara situation, lol

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Is it true we are in talks? no one seems to have mentioned it. safc93 {Ed024's Note - I can only hope that's a joke}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cavanda has signed apparently

Agree4 Disagree0

It was ed. Have you heard about any other players we're targeting? Safc93 {Ed024's Note - We've had a £5m ish bid for Alfred Duncan rejected not sure if we'll up the bid, the most interesting possibility is Rosina - decent attacking midfielder from Siena - if we get him I would guess Sess woill be going back to France. Other than that - nothing new}

Sunderlands latest reported bids in euros:

Cavanda - 7mil
Orban - 4mil
Guliavogui - 7mil
Aubameyang - 13mil
Duncan - 7mil

If Sunderland want two of Saint-Etienne's best players expect to pay closer to 25mil as they will demand more money. If we acutaly get these players the Only thing now is a LM. But who? And only 2 British players

GK - Mignolet
RB - Cavanda
CB - Diakite
CB - Roberge
LB - Orban
RM - Johnson
CM - Cabal
CM - Guliavogui
LM -?
ST - Fletcher
ST - Aubameyang

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Instead of Roberge, O'Shea
Instead of Cabral, N'Daiye or Catts
Instead of Orban, Rose

Need a very creative LM with pace, I'm tempted to say insigne. {Ed024's Note - Please don't be tempted.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Cavanda won't cost 7m only 1 year left on his contract {Ed024's Note - £3-4M }

Agree2 Disagree0

Would love that team

Agree0 Disagree1

LM McClean give the lad a chance he has promissed to be an easier person to work with and he has vowed to become better

Agree2 Disagree6

Abumanayang hasn't been linked so that tells me the rest isn't true

Agree3 Disagree0

Give your head a shake!

We don't have money for any of those players.

Catch yourself on! {Ed024's Note - Mag in disguise alert - there must be none on their site they are all on here !!!!!!}

Agree4 Disagree0

If you take into account it's in euros it's only around 25mil.

Agree0 Disagree0

Deluded man aubameyang get real

Ed what's cavandas situation {Ed024's Note - Talks ongoing}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Jun 2013 20:36:43
We have been priced out of the Paulinho race

And we have stepped up our interest in Inter's Joel Obi and Wolfsburg's
Bas Dost

I am happy with Joel Obi but Fletcher and Bas Dost are too similar, we need a player with loads of pace to get behind the defence

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Id rather guilavogui than obi

Agree1 Disagree0

If we've dropped out there better be a good reason, otherwise we know we still have no true ambition.

Agree0 Disagree2

Joel obi is more attacking whilst guilavogui is more defensive
I would have them both!

Agree0 Disagree0

Try getting Spanish u21 striker morata he looks the part, wld luv isco but no that wld never happen

Agree1 Disagree1

Don't say isco, just don't

We can't afford to pay 35m on ONE player and compete with R. Madrid, M. City and Chelsea

theres another shortish term (2/3 years) option out there that everyone seems to be missing-pablo aimar, would be a great addition

Believable2 Unbelievable1

To old

Agree0 Disagree1

Players of aimars ilk are never too old, just imagine what the youngsters at the club could learn for a start. and to me age 32 isn't an issue -remember breitner when he was mid late to late 30s/strachen. there's loads, we shouldn't just base it on youth, experience/quality counts aswel. the only time age counts is up front

Will Roberge, Cabral or Ba be in the fist team fold
Or are they backup players

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Think roberge and cabral will push for first team whereas ba is seen as more one for the future

Agree1 Disagree0

This goes back to a response I put out a couple of weeks ago on here. Its important to have 16 or 17 players of equalish standard who all are first team players, gone are the days where you buy players for 'back up'. So the answer is yes and no, they will have to earn there place but will have as much chance as anyone else.

Agree1 Disagree2

I assume cabral + roberge will play a few then miss a few and I reckon ba will either go on loan go with our development squad or go out on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabral defo will. Roberge maybe and Ba will be development!

Agree1 Disagree0

Add cavanda to that now he has tweeted he's signed for us

Agree2 Disagree0

I assume under pdc everyone will start off as squad players and you will get picked on fitness and merit.

Agree1 Disagree0

Think roberge and cabral will push for first team whereas ba is seen as more one for the future

Agree1 Disagree0

I can see Roberge getting in the first team, as I think he will impress more than Diakite.

Cabral will be behind the likes of Cattermole and N'Diaye, and defiantly behind Joshua Guilavogui if we can get him.

Ba will probably go into the Under 21 squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

A few disagreements with the above. obviously diakite is first choice because he's bigger and more highly rated. What more could you ask for?

Agree0 Disagree0

We are not interested in signing Gary Hooper I'm told by conections at Celtic and personally I am happy that we are not. No doubt the lad can score goals but we need someone with height and pace in abundance. Any ideas who we might go for ?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Anyone who says Insigne in response to this is banned from the SOL next season, ed will sort it out for me won't you ed. {Ed024's Note - Its fair to say we've heard enough of Insigne. I can exclusively and positively reveal - he wont be coming.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Odemwengi {Ed024's Note - That would be odenWONGI !}

Agree1 Disagree0

Gary Hooper

RM - Johnson
CM - Guilavogui
CM - N'Diaye
LM - Rosina
ST - Bost
ST - Fletcher

Bench, Perin, Orban, Roberge, Cattermole, Guidetti, Larsson, Gardner

(note: this is what I would like to see happen, but doubt we will bring this many players in)

Agree1 Disagree1

You seem to forget you are bringing these players in and saying we can sell the others for X amount you can only name a 23 man squad so the buying clubs will know you need them shifted and that gives them the upper hand {Ed024's Note - Fair point - well made.}

Agree1 Disagree0

It is up to the club if Migs goes

"He will respect his contract" if Sunderland accept a bid for him which I highly doubt they will, he will probably leave. If they don't, he is happy to stay

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jun 2013 15:54:33
Ed apparently we have bidded 7m for josh guilavougi

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Is he worth 7m

Agree1 Disagree0

His name makes him sound good so he's worth every penny. Its all in the name!

Agree2 Disagree1

Shut up
Is he actually decent

Agree0 Disagree1

Just capped by france?

Agree2 Disagree1

Any need to tell someone to shut up for making a joke? {Ed024's Note - I think it was Stacey Solomom shut up !!}

Agree1 Disagree0

Very highly rated and young looks interesting especially if he was with n'diaye what a beast pair that would be

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes ed, it was a Stacey Solomon shut up

Agree1 Disagree0

That'll be interesting
Catts, Alfie and josh in Midfeild

Opposing teams scared by their presence, not by their names

Agree1 Disagree0

Played twice for france, last against brazil.

Problem with Diakite is that he spends more time in the tretment room than he does on the field. Another Wes Brown? Darren Bent is also close to joining Newcastle so the rumours say. £6m? Gamble with his injury record but if he stays fit a good deal. Di Canio is looking at Hooper from Celtic but so are Hull, Norwich and Fulham so doesn't look likely.

Believable3 Unbelievable6

12 Jun 2013 14:53:07
4 in, De fanti in talks with 4 more. Nice to see things rolling. The sad sorry mags are gutted!

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Not really, newcastle can do a lot better than diakite, roberge, cabral. Your making free transfers that's why you are doing it quickly, if they weren't out of contract then you'd be doing all this in july.

Agree2 Disagree4

So tell me who are newcastle going to sign that is better than diakite not rumours but firm interest

Agree2 Disagree0

No he's saying you lot are jealous because there is going to be a whole load of activity at the SOL this summer and there isn't at newcastle

Agree2 Disagree1

Diakite, Roberge, Cabral & Ba?

We are not gutted that you have signed a bunch of mediocre players.

Diakite is probably the only one good enough for the Premier League and he will be injured all the time.

You are padding your squad out with more players that are not good enough, these players won't make any difference.

Di Canio will start tinkering with the team all the time, picking players out for bullying and causing disharmony.

You lot are in big trouble.

Pardew will come good for us next season, the stability and faith put into him will pay dividends, he can only get better.

Agree1 Disagree2

He can't do any worse or you will be playing in the Championship and not the Champions League.

Agree0 Disagree0

For some reason we have a manager who realised we have a poor squad that needs improving having finished 4th bottom last season, hence the signings which have come and the others that are in the pipeline. these can only improve the balance of the squad for next season. also no sunderland fan has come on deluded and said we are going to get in the top 10 or challenge for Europe next season like something we read on another teams page. Now I would be a worried fan if I followed the side who finished 5th bottom and have a chairman and manager who insist they only need 2 players to improve their team and could end up losing their best player to Manchester United or Monaco as quoted in the media.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lots of activity in the 2007/08 Season as well, 16 signings to be exact that didn't go to well did it? {Ed024's Note - Black & White alert - but he knows his Sunderland history}

Agree1 Disagree0

He can't do any worse or you will be playing in the Championship and not the Champions League.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope pardews still with you in the championship

Agree1 Disagree0

Come good? stability and faith he will be the 1st manager to go, cabaye off, ben arfa off, cisse and colo gone better get real g0rdi3 and plus sounds like your being bitter because you have heard nothing at your shambles of a club in the transfer market

Agree1 Disagree0

I will certainly hold you to that comment ^^^ PARDEW WILL COME GOOD NEXT SEASON. Remember this mackems once Newcastle begin to struggle. Enjoy signing the likes of. uuum. ? And to that muppet who said "we're only making free transfers that's why you are doing it quickly. it was free agent's window you nonce! It's not even July yet. Atleast we're doing something early in the window. And now I hear you're attempting to bring and ex mackem to the Wonga brigade? Does he speak French? Go and enjoy the dullness of your own sight mate. Quick! before you miss the tumbleweed!

Agree2 Disagree0

Everyone and his dogs uncle knows Bent is a good Striker, If we could get him for the 6 mill they are saying that is good business. We don't expect to hear any Transfer Rumors after getting Gazzumped on the Remy deal (cheers Harry). and as for the Ex Mackem bit how many of you think Millner will go to your Team {Ed024's Note - For £6M - Bent would be a decent signing for Newcastle, but you'll face competition from Fulham and Palace - will he move back north or will he prefer London? As for Millner - I doubt we'll see him at Sunderland.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Couldn't pretend that we wouldn't want Milner (no chance though), its bad of Bent if he goes to a former rival but a good bit of business from the mags unfortunately. Still think ed makes a good point Bent loves London/ hates it up here

Agree1 Disagree0

The problem with the fool army is that all the current transfers are happening at the sol and not sid james park hence they look on our site a good sunderland fan is an eternal optmist ie based on what we've seen we hope for a better team: new faces: and a change in the culture at the sol paulo is that man love him or loathe him he will do what he feels is right for the team the club and fans : is pardew that sort of man?no.
So any new faces can only add new dimensions to what was a lazy predictable team that was easily read by the opposition (except the mags).
These bosmans are adding meat to the bones of what was a thin squad and can only be better than what we had and will show any purchases where our ambition wants to take us.
Any mags viewing this site might not value the bosmans we got but pray tell who are you looking at two possibly three signings is not going to improve a squad that went from 5th top to 5th bottom and that is before your players might leave the club and remember how you sang when the french players came in and what a let down they were.
So grow up ladies what's really getting you horse is the slow canter at which youve started the race but its a furlong season and if paddock can saddle up early and keep you team from going hay-wire we might get a better derby.
Sorry gents all puns intended.

sunderland have put in a big bid for danny murphy on going talks at the moment could be a good signing {Ed024's Note - a big bid for a 36year old i doubt that}

Why don't we just go out and get Guidetti. Seems a perfect fit to me

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Why the disagrees out of interest?

Agree4 Disagree2

Looks a very good prospect, but the fact he was out all last season could be a potential stumbling block.

Agree3 Disagree2

If he's fit now, I see no problem, might even bring his price down, or why not a loan deal?

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jun 2013 12:58:23
All these figures flying around about how much we have to spend is doing my head in Di Canio has said how it's going to work. He says he wants this type of player in these positions then our two new Italians go out and find these players. Di Canio say yes or no to them and then Mr Short says yes here's the money or no find someone less exspensive and the process starts again. The only person who knows how much we will are willing to spend is Mr Short. And none of you know him so stop trying to make stuff up.

Believable5 Unbelievable7

The clue is in the page name Sunderland Rumours. Although there hasn't been much wrong said in the past month. great to see the doubters still not grasping it haha. Keep the RUMOURS flowing please

We are looking at Bas Dost a striker, looked at him on youtube. buy him. can score from distance as well as in the box, good in the air and takes a hell of a penalty. said his price is 8million don't know if its £ or euros.
Have a look and see what you think.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Only problem is he's slow! We need pace up front, last season showed that without a forward that can run in behind defenders teams can push up against us.

Agree4 Disagree4

Looks in the same mould as Fletcher.

Agree5 Disagree3

You definitely need some strikers after last season. You probably need a few defenders after those 6 we put past you.

SitDownDiCanio {Ed024's Note - A Villa fan I assume}

Agree10 Disagree6

Aye, because Villa were great last season.

Agree5 Disagree1

Probably still smarting over what they paid for Bent against what they will get for him now.

Agree5 Disagree1

No, generally we were rubbish for quite a lot of the season but the 2nd half of the season we were the 6th most inform team in the EPL.

Agree3 Disagree1

Jeez. , he saved us from relegation, the cost we paid for him has been justified.

Agree1 Disagree1

Its not what they paid for bent its what they still owe

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not what they paid for bent its what they still owe

Agree2 Disagree0

Thank's for that £24m mate, how did that work out for you's?

Agree2 Disagree0

Its £18m actually as we haven't had to pay the extra £6m, its worked out well as we have Benteke, Gabby & Weimann all on form with the new Ibrahimovic coming in to replace Darren Ben (t)ched {Ed024's Note - I believe Sunderland may get some of the sell on fee also}

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland are watching £8million-rated Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost. The frontman was a former target of new Sunderland chief scout Valentino Angeloni when he was at Inter Milan. West Ham United and Liverpool were linked with Dost last year.

sunderland two swap sess for sidwell +3m {Ed024's Note - So....Sess to Fulham ....cant see that.}

Believable3 Unbelievable14

Fulham bigger than sunderland {Ed024's Note - Black and White Alert !!!}

Agree1 Disagree2

Fulham bigger than Sunderland?. Must make them bigger than newcastle then. We are by far the greatest and most famous team in the North East

Agree1 Disagree0

Are they? Really? But I suppose they're not as big as Newcastle though because they are one of the top 5 clubs in world football eh? what a bunch of muppets you lot are over the dark side.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Jun 2013 09:17:30
last season we had a wafer thin squad so we need to bring in some players on bosmans to bolster the squad, hopefully they will be better than those brought in by Newcastle who's squad still looks a bit thin. with interest in bas dost again from Wolfsburg at around 10mill and a reported 6mill bid rejected for Alfred Duncan from inter also the imminent signing of cavanda from Lazio it looks like we are going to be in for a lot of players off the continent. so players like milner, huddlestone and other players in the premiership mentioned on here look like non starters, now finally things are looking really interesting times ahead for us sunderland fans. so if we get a few bitter mags posting lads its only because the transfer activity is happening at the sol.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Why are we bitter? You mention Newcastle in your first season I would say your obsessed with we are doing. WE don't need a total overhaul of our squad it seems according to lot you do. {Ed024's Note - Lets be honest both squads need significant work.}

Agree2 Disagree1

I think these so called newcastle fans are more interested inwhat we are doing otherwise why would they be on our site.

Agree2 Disagree2

The mags got a point, why has the first poster mentioned Newcastle? Who cares about them we are talking about Sunderland here. Genuinely I think that both clubs have fans who are obsessed with each other, it really is irritating.

Agree4 Disagree2

Because nowts going on, on their site

Agree4 Disagree1

The mags got no point mate. all we have had for the last 12 months is the French revolution posted on this site cabaye ben arfa and all. if you have followed sunderland long enough you will remember the song wynn davies, pop robson, McFaul. now it would be ideal to come on here and only talk about sunderland but its a banter page for all fans to crack on about any team they like and if all we talked about was sunderland we would soon run dry of banter now if I've upset the mag the best thing for him to do is stick to his own page.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Jun 2013 08:08:11
Sunderland and newcastle are interested in inter milans nigerian Joel Obi. Not sure what position he plays. he's 22 and rated highly at inter and his agent has said there is definate interest from the premier league in him. {Ed024's Note - He plays in central midfield .... and has a brilliant middle name - Chukwuma.}
