According to talksport Defoe has signed. Don't know money or anything but think it's a decent signing, a proven premiership goal scorer

I assume that Poyet knows that he will have to change his system as Defoe cannot play upfront on his own.

I see Hull are after Stephen Fletcher ! big mistake if we sell him now to a club around us !

Fletcher seems to be like Sessegnon (who I rated highly) that he can look to be class one week and then ordinary at best the next. I do not think he fits the Poyet system so he might go. Defoe doesn't either so hopefully the system will change.

The system HAS to change because its not working ! hopefully Gus Poyet will understand that ?. put Wickam or Fletch in the middle with Defoe and play with 2 wingers ! I can never understand why he plays strikers on the wings with the multitude of wingers and midfielders we have ! explain Gus please ? i'd put Johnson in the middle with Giacch and Larsson on the right ! at the moment the team is unbalanced and plays too deep !

Defoe is a Sunderland player in a swap with Alitdore. Saying he's getting 80k a week at SAFC. 3 and a half year deal glad he's here he can finish but come on he's 32 Sunderland we need some youth in the team

Much better options available for that kind of money IMO although Defoe is a lot better than what we have at present and offers something different.

Agree with the Defoe age problem but still we are only paying a small fee and his pay. but we definatly need another YOUNG striker !. Danny Ings would do !. and would operate alongside Defoe and that would be a great partnership 1
