Sunderland looking at loan moves for Squillaci from Arsenal and Guidetti from Man City. MON will be allowed to strengthen the squad in January but MON still under scrutiny.
If MON hadn't been a Sunderland fan, the fans would be giving him a rougher ride and the owner can see through the sentimentality.
Peter Reid is being considered as DOF and/or a stop gap manager to replace MON until the end of season but Mark Hughes also rated highly.

Agree about O'Neill. The fact he supported Sunderland is saving him from anger.
Any other manager would be savaged by the fans.
And you can't deny Ellis rates Hughes highly

How do you know short rates Hughes highly ? Have you seen what he did at qpr ? Why would short let the bloke within ten miles of Sunderland.
