No excuses tonight from the Mugs - that performance was shocking.
You can accept being outplayed by a better team, but to come out second best from EVERY 50/50 challenge is unforgivable. They looked leggy, unfit and worst of all uninterested - and that was before half time!

We were beaten fair and square but I will tell you something there will be a few teams that will be well beaten by them they will not lose a game at home this season. let's just see where we are at Christmas. what a difference of opinions going on Newcastle fans wanting 20 t 25 mill for cabaye and arsenal fans not wanting him as they reckon he can't bring anything to improve the team. not in the squad tonight well it looks like he is on his way and if it is to arsenal they will want the deal done before midnight tomorrow so they can register him for champions league

Strange choice from Wenger.

He's under pressure to buy from the supporters, he's been desperate to buy a forward and a defender, he loses two or three players through injury yet he chooses to go for a central midfielder when he's got the likes of Wilshire, Ramsay and Arteta (admittedly out for six weeks)already.

Not sure this would be the position the fans would want or necessarily the callibre.

•great free Kick taker 2 replace Larsson
•great penalty taker 2 replace Gardner
•Fantastic shot
•Pretty cheap considering his talent

He's only 1 year into a 3 year contract so likelihood of club letting him leave?

This is the type of player we need.

Elm don´t got the psyche to perfom every week. He got low self esteem and digs he's head down when times are rough. Not a great feature for a Sunderland man.

Have seen Sidwell at Reading. Good player but no better than Gardner or Colbeck. Is not a "creative" midfielder.
