See we are being linked with last minute move for McGeady- seems we can't get through a transfer window without him being mentioned. Let's hope this is just his agent touting- we already have several one paced wide men. What we need are fullbacks- LB particularly -and a solid central defender. Hope fading, but there is still 100 minutes to bring in sensible reinforcements.

Yedlin definite plus- Enrique would be real last minute bonus, and leave us with a much stronger squad than we had at the end of last season, Though even more bloated. Hope Buckley is on the way, but remember that there will be a new 'window' opening in a week's time when we will be able to offload some of the dead wood to Football League teams- if there are any takers. Truth is the likes of Bridcutt, Mavrias, Graham, Fletcher etc realistically only appeal to Football League clubs, so there may still be a chance to shift one or two, though no doubt we will have to subsidize their ridiculous wages to move them on.

My mate who has a close connection to the club has said that Jose Enrique to Sunderland is all but done and we're awaiting on a decision from the player. Hope this is true, likely on a permanent.

A strong possibility of a cb/target man coming in too, thought to be a loan deal.

All the right moves so far shipping out some on loan and a few good solid signings. Borini once match fit will give us something extra. A great signing for me. Now the defence needs shoring up. Strange because our defence wasn't too bad last year. I still don't see Kaboul being better than Vergini although I concede he wasn't brilliant but what he gave you was versatility in that he could play centre or full back. Surely better than Jones. Our weak link is certainly the full back positions and they have to be a priority. What has happened to Revierre ( spelling ) is he injured or gone?
