Personally id be happy with 4 more players coming in. I think we should get Martin Olssen, Adam Johnson, Steven Fletcher and John Guidetti. Id be happy with that and i think it will make a positive improvement to our team. There are also rumours that we could be getting Clint Dempsey and Dimitar Berbatov, if those two came as well id be over the moon. In MON we trust

AJ to decide tomorrow which club he will join but Liverpool are strong favourites. We will get Downing for 8 million. Fletcher price has been agreed but discussions ongoing for the amount of the initial downpayment and add ons.

Downing seems a spent player these days,lpool have knocked the confidence out of him,will he ever be as good again?

Wouldn't pay 8 quid for downing

Heard from a good source that Frazier Campbell could be on his way out . So mon must have a striker or two lined up

Good dont rate him

Fletcher on his way for 13.75m

Not gonna happen..we're short on strikers and need to add more not sell

TV are saying only us and Liverpool have made contact over Johnson and that we're the favourites. Safc93

Tottenham liverpool have both made inquiries but only sunderland made an offer and will be announced as soon as scott sinclair signs for city

Nobody has made an offer us and liverpool have made an offical enquiry but spurs only expressed an interest for now. Thats been on sky sports news tonight we are favourits due to local ties and the promise of first team regular football!

Well lots of local reports have talks at an advanced stage and the fact we are the only club that has a bid accepted gives me a bit of hope on AJ. Ed, heard anything on a rumour of an unnamed player having a medical today? {Ed024's Note - no not heard anything - if anyone is with the medical team at safc its probably Wes Brown LOL}

Sunderland have had a bid accepted for Michael Dawson along with QPR and Stoke just been on talksport

I do you think we will get him or will we not

If no one else comes in 90% chance he will sign for us

Going to qpr we will never pay that much for a defender when mon has loads on his books

wonder how many players we will get out of these lot who we have been linked with

Adam Johnson yeah if he gets a wage cut
Tom Huddlestone yeah tottenham will only let him go on loan.
Stephen Fletcher hopefully for no more than 12 mill.
Dimitar Berbatov he will be a great adition especially for just 5mill.
and i think we still need a decent left back
then we are sorted if we get 4 out of 5 of these players.

On the Liverpool page someone saying lfc have asked us to step away from the aj deal to prevent a bidding war and in return we can have downing , and I thought the mags were deluded {Ed024's Note -It does look like Liverpool are noew favourites for Johnson}

Point taken ed ,just get on my ti?£s that plp think we could be asked to step away from the deal . IMO Sunderland is just a good of a move than Liverpool all they have is Europa cup and they won't be in that long. {Ed024's Note - The fact we cant offer European football could be telling, that said I'd rather play for MON than BR}

If Liverpool have done that its out of order. I can't see MON being bullied into that TBH. Glad to see Mr Short is willing to pay for quality, just hoping and praying we get AJ, he would thrive at the SOL.

His agent (dad) may not want him anywhere near Carroll as he could be seen as a bad influence!

Ed if you were mon who would you spend the money there is clearly a lot there times running out and I know mon will have more people than what's getting spoke about but every time we make a bid we are just setting the price for other clubs do you think ji and saha could work {Ed024's Note - Ji at best is one for the future - will not feature much this season, Saha is a good squad player and he knows where the net is. If i was MON I'd only go for Fletcher (but not at any cost) and Johnson would be a great signing. I'd also have a look at Holt from Norwich - good in the air and could feed off Maclean and Johnson crosses.

Holt just signed a new deal with Norwich Ed, so I don't think he's going anywhere for a while. {Ed024's Note - I agree but he's one I would have gone after if I was in MON's shoes, who do you think we should be chasing ?}

Sorry to but in on your conversation, but if it was me one of my first signings would have been to try and get Lukaku on loan from chelsea, i think west brom got one over everybody with that one! CC

Lukaku signed for the baggies due to chelseas links with Steve Clarke. Pretty simple that.
