I don't think this will happen but I do know that short is good mates with alan curbishley could be worth a daft punt

Believable2 Unbelievable13

One word in that sentence I agree with Daft!

Agree7 Disagree1

We need a good current manager not a has been!

Agree5 Disagree0

Whats happening to PDCS Italian backroom staff? are they still at the club?. and what about De fanti the so called expert at recruitment whos responsible for the lack of quality brought to the club?. what I've read was that Di Matteo won't work with De Fanti but surely a ne w manager brings in his own backroom staff!?. thers a lot of stuff to sort out befre this club moves forward!

Agree4 Disagree1

Solksjaer and Bally?

Agree4 Disagree1

I believe the backroom staff have gone as well.

Agree0 Disagree1

Id take a punt on Solksjaer

Tony pulis, nigel pearson and steve mcclaren top candidates for sunderland job

Believable1 Unbelievable8

Anybody but Nigel "Judas" Pearson. He just blames everybody but himself when things don't go his way and then just walks. Give me Pullis or Curbishley over Pearson anyday

Agree2 Disagree3

If we get pulis then I will never go back to the sol

Agree4 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Pulis is no mug and he knows the EPL.}

Joe kinear

was at work today and a young lass came in and said her and some of her mates had a good night out on Saturday. they went clubbing and ended up in the vip lounge at the night club after a while a load of sunderland players came in. well lads when we go to the bar we buy vodka and red bull by the shots but surprise surprise the players were buying vodka and red bull by the bottles most of them knowing that pdc wanted them in for training the next day maybe a bit of dutch courage

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Yes that is probably right, the cowardly set of backstabbers.

Agree7 Disagree4

Well the healthy eating didn't last long the food for after the match is pizzas and barbecued chicken

I'm hearing an interesting rumour that Gary Neville is the man Ellis Short wants to be our next manager. Personaly I think this would be a good appointment.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Where are you hearing this from then?

Agree3 Disagree1

I would love him
Knows what he's doing

Agree2 Disagree0

Your Joking what managerial experience has Neville got?

Agree1 Disagree0

Would like Neville
On MNF, he knows what he's bloody talking about, he knows how players should play, what they should do and what team they should play and how
He's 1st choice for me

Agree2 Disagree0

Be happy with Gary Neville

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Whaaaaaat, he has even less experience than PDC.}

I heard a rumour as well about Gary Neville. He talks sense, he has an impeccable pedigree and is very highly thought of within the England set-up. As the previous poster commented Gary Neville talks perfect sense on MNF and if I honestly think if he was appointed with either Mike Phelan or Rene Muelensteen as the first team coach/assistant manager then we could do a lot worse.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - I can talk sense (just) doesn't mean I'll be successful as an EPL manager. After PDC surely we need an experienced manager. }

You have it wrong lads, it was MIKE NEVILLE because his ITV contract ran out.

Agree1 Disagree0

Isn't mike Neville a big Newcastle fan who always said he could do a better job than the clowns they have had over the years.

With PDC gone does this affect N'Diaye situation what happens if the new manager wants him back can we just bring him back whenever we want or?

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Hope not

Agree0 Disagree3

It's a shame these alledged players who said their piece to di canio didn't have the same set of balls in the last thirteen games!shocking! Then maybe we wouldn't be in this situation! Paulo put his heart and soul working all hours! To try and turn this mediocre club around! Shame the players didn't do the same! Thirty to forty grand week to amble around a field! With no heart or desire these players need to hold there head in shame! I don't agree with all of di canios methods. But we as fans are not blind, we can see who is not giving it for the badge! Who makes the mistakes who doesn't track back who switches off! In games! Hold your head in shame sunderland players!!

Agree4 Disagree1

You are correct 100%, I can see the players you are on about, week after week, and I would bet they are behind the backstabbing, let's hope if there is any justice in this world they get payback big time. Chris-s.

Agree1 Disagree0

I hope the press name the players concerned!

Agree1 Disagree1

With a good man like Phelan at his side maybe it could work picking Neville, Mmmmm

Neil Lennon has been mentioned

Believable1 Unbelievable7

Yeah right, Champions League to Championship, don't think so

Agree2 Disagree6

Its pointless to say who will take over but 1 thing is sure we need to stand by the club I said last year it would not last he's too much of a dictator come on its been crap look at the players body language after the last game think it was done then well bye MR PDC welcome the next best thing since slice bread lol

Agree1 Disagree0

And he has said he is happy at celtic, Roberto Di Matteo was my choice before Paulo

Agree1 Disagree0

I wouldn't have Neil Lennon in a lucky bag! It's one thing to win the title every year in a one horse race, totally different in the Premier League.

Agree0 Disagree1

Di Matteo was sacked by W Brom for heavens sake, start using your noggin.

Sunderland are aiming to get Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson as a successor to Paulo Di Canio.

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Everton fan. just like to say shame on some of your so called supporters for abusing Di Canio at West Brom. So you've got rid of him and been left with all his players what's going to happen now?Another clear out?. I feel sorry for the majority of you who supported Di Canio but I fear for you this season. Hope i'm wrong because Sunderland belong in the prem, good luck lads.

Agree3 Disagree2

To be fair Di Canio walked over to them in a very emotive moment and invited their wrath saying he would take it on the chin. Well, he got it didn't he?

Agree2 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more mate and we have the audacity to call Newcastle fans fickle

Agree2 Disagree1

Agree with the everton fan.

Agree1 Disagree0

Got it wrong pal. media talk about fans abusing paulo
