Do you think the club would take in the opinions of the fans on transfers,

Eg, don't get McMannaman, get Rose {Ed024's Note - I am sure they dont}

Believable6 Unbelievable1

No intelligent football club would let supporters dictate transfer policy. although ed, we'd have bought insigne 10 times over if Ellis Short came on this site. {Ed024's Note - I'm hoping Mr S has more important things to do.}

Agree6 Disagree0

We made it clear what we thought about Danny Graham and look what happened there!

Ste give it a rest, youve advised of about 100 signings on here in the last 4 weeks. You know no more than the rest of us so by all means make predictions as we all do but don't talk rubbish every time telling us something has happened or is definitely happening when to put it bluntly. you don't know.

Agree11 Disagree1

I can confirm SteSAFC. Who do you think you are. Get a grip. You know the same as us. nowt

Agree9 Disagree2

If people like ste didn't post his opinions then we might as well not have a site I think he won't be far out with his predictions keep em coming ste

Agree1 Disagree3

Yes make predictions, that's exactly right, what he's doing though is making announcements that aren't true. what's the fun in that. Everyone enjoys banter around potential signings but we don't have a club spokesman on this site so the excitement is the mystery.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

I agree with everything except I'd replace Cabral with Duncan

Agree7 Disagree1

Cabral finished the season as a swedish champion has champions leauge expirience he ripped Manchester united defence apart he is a paced and very skilful player we should play him before n'diaye as he is still very young and Ill experienced.

Agree1 Disagree2

Cabral was playing for Basel in Switzerland not Sweden.
He did not rip the Man U defence apart and doesn't have a lot of pace nor is he a skillful player he's a central midfielder who breaks up play and a good passer, have you even seen him play?

Agree3 Disagree1

Cabral ahead of huddlestone any day!

Agree1 Disagree1

Duncan I meant*

ED with rose back on radar do you think we'd sign him and orban {Ed024's Note - Good question, Orban is LB, conceivably Rose could be played in midfield, would give us more options, my heart says lets have them both my head says we'll go for one or the other.}

Believable6 Unbelievable0

I hope we try both

Agree5 Disagree1

I think well get rose and play him on lw

Agree3 Disagree1

Cabral will play instead of Ndiaye

Agree3 Disagree11

N'Diaye will be in starting 11, i'll put my life on it. The most improved player under Di Canio and he'll be huge for us next season. He's a tank who can actually pass the ball (strangely can't head the thing though).

We have signed Orban aswell according to sources I think tomorrow will be a very busy day.

SteSAFC

Believable4 Unbelievable5

I bet we still get Rose and put him left wing, it's his favourite position and Di Canio wants him due to his attacking influence on the squad

Come on SIGN HIM UP

Agree6 Disagree2

Hope yer reet marra

Agree2 Disagree1

Spurs are *******s to deal with, so can't see anything happening with Rose in the short term. {Ed024's Note - Its fair to say that transfers negotiations with Spurs are never a straightforward affair.}

What do people think our formation will be this season, Ed? {Ed024's Note - Really hard to say with all the transfer activity, could well be 4-4-2 at home, maybe 4-5-1 away - but thats a very rough guess.}

Total spend 5.4mil

SteSAFC

Believable5 Unbelievable9

If that list did happen I thought Di Canio had 20mil to spend so hopefully we would see a big 15mil signing. But I like the fact they are all young and can only get better and there value go up instead of old players where there value goes down.

15 players in?! Come on man, when would that EVER happen. 5 is a pretty busy window!

Agree1 Disagree2

How do you know we've signed peruzzi

Agree2 Disagree1

We already have 7 in

Agree4 Disagree2

We already have 7 and they're included in that list

Agree3 Disagree0

Lets just wait and see, all I know is that Di Canio is gunna be pretty tired by September

Agree1 Disagree1

Come on man, were half way there already, lol.

Agree1 Disagree0

Simply not going to happen and i'll say it again. N'Diaye is going to be a big big player for us next season and will be straight in the starting line up. His improvement under Di Canio was so extreme it was ridiculous.

Agree2 Disagree3

9 players out 9 in to replace them and a further 6 to bulk up the squad. Di canio said he wanted 6 players on top of we we had start believing

Agree3 Disagree0

We don't want Mannone!

Sunderland have signed Gino Peruzzi for 6mil euros. He is on his way for a medical tomorrow. Also having medicals are Ba, Diakite, Roberge, Cabal. SAFC are also hopeful of pushing through a deal for Ducan for 7mil in the next few days after inter said they will sell for that price. Last bit of news is SAFC are trying to get Hernandez, Altidore and Mendy to agree to sign for Sunderland and have medicals next week.

SteSAFC

Believable9 Unbelievable6

Think Rose is on his way too

Agree9 Disagree4

What about the loan deal for Inters Bessa? is that completed and due to happen this week!

Agree7 Disagree1

If all them did come off I would be very happy and bring on the next round of SLAUGHTER SUNDAY 0-3

What's the latest on Scocco, it's all gone quite but I read we're still interested

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I think he's due to stay in south america!

Agree2 Disagree1

30 Jun 2013 16:10:04
I think that we should go for players
with pl experience any ideas?

Believable3 Unbelievable4

No they are too expensive.

Paolo and Short Know what they are doing raiding the Italian, french, portugese, south American markets.

Agree6 Disagree1

Dicanio is only a coach he has nada control over signings etc, difanti is gaffer

Agree1 Disagree5

Di Canio has said he has final say over transfers, Di Canio will say what type of players he wants, the coaching staff will go out and find players who fit Di Canio's description, then Di Canio will select players out of the shortlist who
he wants

Agree3 Disagree1

Di canio has final say on players coming in

Agree3 Disagree1

His title is coach and not manager, because that's what he wanted, he's a proper coach out on the training pitch from start to finish, most managers only turn up for the last half hour of training if they turn up at all.

gino Peruzzi in talks to sign state his club can play rb or rw

source tv

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Im excited about this one looks a great prospect. He's tipped to be first choice right back for the world cup for argentina currently second choice.

Loved his comments about Neymar. he said

"I know Neymar has no idea who I am, but he will get to know me soon enough, " the 19-year-old laughed in Wednesday's interview with Ole.

"I would tell him to watch his back. I am a player who hits hard and who has a lot of character. I give everything on the pitch. "

Asked what he would do if Neymar pulled out his famous bicicleta overhead flick, the defender gave an unequivocal response.

"If I grab him afterwards, I'll break him in half! No, it's true that it is annoying when he does these things while winning but he always plays like this. He likes the tricks, " he admitted.

"I have to keep cool; the Brazilians love to show off and I'm a bit of a hothead"

He went on to mark Neymar out of the two games, it was a two leg competition. Neymar got subbed peruzzi got man of the match in both games.

Molouda's contract has been expired today, think we should go for him, he is a very good player
Might need to take a pay cut though

Believable2 Unbelievable11

He won't need to take a pay cut if he is a free agent.

As of today is yearly wage is Zilch.

Yes, but he will want around the same amount of money

Apparently according to various sites on Twitter Danny Rose was in Newcastle last night. A few of these accounts have suggested he's signing for Sunderland. Never thought we would get Rose as AVB said he's not leaving but now maybe if this is true, we've managed to get a great player! {Ed024's Note - I hope your right but there are lies, damn lies and TWITTER.}

Believable9 Unbelievable7

Hope so

Agree6 Disagree2

I hope we do, we were going to pay 5mil for a untested never played in the top division French 18yr old who doesn't seem to fancy us, ide much rather put the differance and get somone who enjoyed playing for us and proved his worth in the top division.

Agree8 Disagree2

He was, iv seem pictures

I think the person who had a photo with him asked if he was signing for Sunderland, he said he was

Agree4 Disagree5

There was a pic uploaded onto a sunderland page on fb of him with fans last night. Apparently he tweeted about not wanting to be a bench warmer aswell. Safc93

Agree7 Disagree1

Love to have him next year he is the best player we had last year aside of migs

Agree8 Disagree1

That's the exact tweet I saw of him with fans last night! Which was why I thought it may be true!

We have made alfred duncan our number 1 target as he is the hottest property in italian u21football. Sunderland will meet all financial requirements to finally land him within the next 4 days. Jonnypolesnappedsafc

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Apparently the deal has gone kaput but we could be getting bosselli (spelling I don't know) on loan from inter though.

looks like mcmannaman could be our new lw

Believable5 Unbelievable5

I think ide rather have Tom Ince, not that I don't like McMananaman I just think Ince is a better prospect

Agree1 Disagree4

Funny though he's a right side player

Agree7 Disagree0

OMG I would love Macca to be in the premier league next season, we owe him 1.

And for it to be in the red & white stripes, I am rubbing my hands at the prospect.

What I wouldn't give to have Macca play 90 minutes at St James next season.

Agree4 Disagree2

But I think he will turn out like McClean, a half season wonder then goes crap the next

Agree4 Disagree3

If we actually get bodies in the box this season then maclean might have a chance of running at players instead of round in circles looking for a pass

Agree2 Disagree1

Mcclean is not close to premier league quality, his 1 and only trick has long been found out. Mcmanaman is a completely different talent to him, pacey, skillful, versatile, less trouble off the pitch. He's definitely not a 1 season wonder although the concern is he might not be fit for season start and therefore with fitness requirements under di canio, will be christmas before we see him fully up and running in starting line up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Ince is a right sided player, who's left footed and weres the number 11 shirt, surely he can adapt and wasent Johnson a left winger when we got him

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jun 2013 09:58:24
i think with all the players were linked with, if di canio is as good as we all say and we get in players like perruchi, bessa duncan we could seriously chalenge for 10th 9th 8th some great players linked just the case of getting the through the door it is looking bright on wearside

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I think supporters should'nt get carried away!Yes it looks like some exciting signings may be on the way, and it's great for us fans, but we need to be realistic. This is a new team, and sometimes these things take time, we need patience. Rome was'nt built in a day!

Agree5 Disagree0

TBH all I want next season is to have a solid season and not have to worry about relegation. Safc93

Agree6 Disagree0

Rome was not built in a day, but Paulo was not on that job.

Agree8 Disagree2

Haha nice one, as long as he's not playing his fiddle while rome burns!

Sunderland are preparing a 7m bid for Callum McManaman
This could potentially be a great signing but he could he turn out to be a half season wonder like McClean {Ed024's Note -

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Overrated player.

He had a good game against Man City in the cup and somehow his value more than doubled over night.

Agree6 Disagree0

Rubbish, performed well game after game for long period of time last season and is a very promising talent. Plus he has pace which we badly lacked last season.
