Ed would you say diakite is 100% done? {Ed001's Note - nothing is 100% done until it is signed and sealed. I have seen announcements with players holding up shirts etc and then the deal falls through later, much to the embarrassment of the clubs in question. Most clubs now wait until they have given players thorough medicals and the player has signed his contract before making official announcements because of those few instances. The transfer of registration can't be done until July 1st, so you might have to be patient to have it confirmed, but it is a done deal, or as done as it can be right now.}

Just wanted to know if anyone actually watches italian football and knows what this diakite is really like! Just watched him on youtube and he looks as good as nosworthy! Lol also heard that cabral is swiss for crab, hope this doesn't reflect his playing style. If I could pick 3 realistic targets then I would love to see pdc try and sign seamus coleman, callum mcmanaman and james mccarthy! also wonder if gary mackay steven of dundee utd could do it in the prem. Worth watchin him on youtube he is a talent. i'm excited for the season ahead just hope everyone gets to the games and sings there hearts out for the lads! let's get behind paolo and the lads! he his good at jumping for headers weather he is scoring or clearing he is suprisingly good at dribbling the ball forward and he is a good sliding tackler and good on foot tackler
He'd go for bigger players than that

I think Di Canio will get quite a few players on Bosmans such as Diakite, Roberge and Zarate, and save the money for 3 or 4 top quality players with a big price on their heads

Only worrying thing is he's only played 83 times in 7 yrs for kazoo due to injury!
He did have an injury but he only didn't play because they prefered andre dias instea of diakite
Been looking him up on the internet, he played 25 of the 38 league games last season and was on the bench for a few. He seems a decent defender, a real force at the back is what we needed and someone like o'shea along side him with help him improve with the experience he has to offer. Safc93

The signings have started - how long before the geordies are on here trying to make out they aren't worried. Their money was all spent in a panic on the garlic gang - and their team went downhill - no bottle. I'd hate to be a Geordie worrying about the new season.

Ha ha great stuff, he's wrong and he's right-if either club won something it could kick start something special for both. but in all honesty newcastle went for it big style (keegan era) and proved they couldn't win the top division again. sunderland haven't yet gone for it properly. if they ever did you couldn't build a stadium big enough. at the moment both take the piss out of their fans
