My brother told me about rose and jenas 2 weeks ago. I know jenas didnt sign but he knew there was interest! He has just text me saying we are in talks with micheal owen but were not keen on paying him too much so not sure if it will happen but we are interested!

Cuellar got m.o.m last week against arsenal we brought in saha as cover and we have a proper lb plus tough tackling midfielder? What about catts colback vaughan or even gardner? You want too much my friend

Some people make me laugh, what about the team we had before theses signings, we were not to bad last season once MON took over and got players to actually play granted we fell away at the end of the season, but we now have an attacking force with AJ , and JM on the wings and sess behind SF, back the lads dont moan, a good season ahead for us i think.

I think well struggle also in afraid two good signings doesn't completely transform us

You think we'll struggle?! Get a grip of yourself mate. We are a mid-table club and with a 2-2 draw away at arguably one of the best sides in the league in the last 2 games, I'm very happy. Especially when AJ and SF are already pitching in to transform this club. MoN does know what he's doing. Haway The Lads!

Got to be honest. 5 very important & excellent signings by MON & ES, 6 if you include Super Sess.. However, it's ended badly. We still needed a couple more, definately a striker. Still, we will finish 10th, if we can call it progress. Sunderland forever, but maybe not a statement of intent yet.

I dont think it ended badly mate,cmon think of them poor mites up the road they needed a full back and got sod all,i love agent ashley spurs supremo,i even reckon he got young rose to sign for us.tk73

All gone quiet mate. Fulham waiting for an offer from Liverpool but there isn't one coming in... MoN must be watching the situation. I say if there is no official bid from Liverpool for Dempsey by 5:30, then we should put in a bid for him and tell him that Liverpool aren't calling him! But if that doesn't happen then I think it's business done for this window.

He may want liverpool but I think he might take spurs, we should do a sneaky bid in the next 2hrs n fly him up in a chopper

Never rated Jenas best days at newcastle but not good enough for sunderland

According to Mail it is a done deal- if true very depressing to see O'Neill's idea of 'quality' stretches to crocks who were never much good even at the peak. Beginning to understand why we have all those CBs that resemble revolving doors- he must think Bramble and Kilgallon are quality too!

Good to see Johnson and Fletcher (though he will need to improve considerably on previous showings to justify his fee) come in, but very disappointing that we seem to be consistently out-manoeuvred by the likes of Hughes, Jol and Pulis when it comes to attracting solid premier players at reasonable prices. Club needs to show more creativity in its off-field activities as well as on it.

Who have stoke got that sunderland would want? Man for man our 1st team is better than theres. They have signed Kightly & Adam and an american. Who out of them 3 would have been better for us than who we have signed.Adam is only good for set pieces(we already have 2 specialists). He can't tackle pass or move that quick. Hughes has endless funds at his disposal so we are never going to compete on that front. Fulham have signed petric and berbatov- but have lost dembele and essentially Dempsey.So they have lost there 2 most influencial players. We have lost no key players and brought in players in all the areas we need to strengthen in. Dembele went to th for 15-we only paid 8 for Sess. In other words. Give your head a shake

We ended last season with five clear problem areas: no LB, no pace at CB, not winning ball regularly in MF without giving a way stupid free-kicks, not enough creativity in MF, and not enough strike power. The changes in personnel have seen some strengthening of the last two areas, though not much by way of cover, and a young LB on loan. But still no pace at CB and no still no cover for Catts- who admittedly has the odd good game but also has too many poor ones and spends too much time injured or suspended. And we are still looking like a 4-5-1 set up away from home, and probably at home too against the stronger teams. This will not fill the stadium.

I do car finance for players and players agent and I have just been informed of this, this is Martin Oneils main targets now

Oneil has been in talks with a midfielder. This one has been kept very quiet and is not Dempsey. I dont know who it is but have been tipped off its a very good player

Poss Milner. Heard a while back that he would make a decision on deadline day, subject to whether he was guaranteed starts at Man City, subject to who they signed?
