we are after Rodwell Rodregeiz and Hernandez but Gus is saying money is holding up the deals why is it that we can't afford to finance these players and other smaller clubs can Ellis Short I feel is holding up these deals if a player is worth it PAY it! frustarting watching these players slip by!

If a players worth it PAY it?
It's all about opinions. The selling club will hold out for as much as possible and naturally the buying club will want to pay as little as they can get away with. At some point the will either agree or otherwise.
My opinion for what its worth is Borini worth £14M of course not.

I saw a Tweet that he was spotted at St. Pancras. Not very reliable, but could be something to it?

Let him go, he is overrated, weak and unable to hold a ball up.6 million would be a great price to put towards a more reliable player. Why else would he be loaned out so many times last season.

I find your comment very ironic, "borinifan"

Hopefully more signings as well, Sunday Sun reporter James Hunter quotes poyet as saying" there are plenty of things going on and i'm looking forward to things appening in thenext few days. It's all positive, people are going to be surprised , i'm hoping there will be some good news in the next 2-3 day" ( Interview yesterday)- so possibly a surprise or two???

This could potentially be Borini or Alonso if Gus is referring to a 'surprise'

{Ed024's Note - If they offered £6M - I'd sell. We'd have the better of that deal.}
If we had a replacemet lined up if take 6m

{Ed024's Note -£6M for CW I'd sell to anyone - 6 decent games in 3 years. I think he's got a cheek asking for an improved contract.}
At this stage I really do think he will leave and in his place will come Hernandez and Borini. His sale will help fund the deals. No evidence just a hunch

I do hope we have a player lined up incase, can we trust altidore to turn up this season!?

At this point I'm not sure what to do with him. Ed's right, he hasn't been all that great. But he was doing well when the season left off so maybe he found his form. Of course, he hasn't done much in the pre-season, either. My biggest concern would be filling his spot on such short notice. Look how much trouble it's been all summer. Could we really find a more reliable forward for £6m in 3 weeks? At the very least hang onto him until January then sell him off. Am I wrong?
