Belgium have just lost to Argentina because they are not a team. When England won the World Cup they had 3 World Class players- Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton and Jimmy Greaves. When Greaves was injured Hurst came in and then kept his place when Greaves was fit again because the team was better. Sunderland had some players last season who were not good enough for the Premier but Poyet played the right system to get the best out of the team. We need to build on this team ethic by getting the right players. Colback gave balance on the left. We need to bring in two left sided players for fullback and midfield preferably with pace. Is Danny Rose out of the picture?

{Ed024's Note - Yes he is.}

And what about his son Diego Poyet? I heard he's on the verge of signing for West Ham now if Gus is commited to this club why hasn't he snapped up his son Diego for Sunderland? does that suggest Gus,s loyalties are elsewhere as surely he has an influence in where he goes?. surely West Ham isn't a top club for his son? so why isn't he signing for Sunderland?

Agree0 Disagree5

{Ed024's Note - Might add a complication if his son was playing for the club}

They've both said they don't want to be at the same club, his son says his dad is his worst critic & he wants to make his own way. Loyalties have nothing to do with a kid making a good choice. If he did come and played crap he'd get grief if he didn't drop him and be accused of favouritism.

Then why is Steve Bruces son at Hull ed? .no problem there!

Agree2 Disagree4

{Ed024's Note - Behave - I didn't say it was never done - just that it is an added complication. If you cant see that, then your just not looking.}

I see Sunderland are pushing Wickam to sign a new contract which is fair enough as Leicester are after him . mind I feel we should buy before we sell any striker after last season!

ed I can understand why he doesn't want to be working with his father. but its a shame because he's a highly rated player!

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed024's Note - He's highly rated - one for future}

We are looking at Zouma Rodwell in a loan deals and want to sign and 18 year Romanian winger called Rotariu who is highly rated!. would be 3 good signings if we can get those 3!

Valbuena in talks with Valencia for 4m
4 fu*king million, we have been offered him, the lad is easily worth 10m. Best player for France and Marseille, sometimes I think I could literally do a much better job than that lot in charge of our transfers, with him in the team we would score +20 more goals a season, Sunderland man! Sort ya sh*t out

Believable9 Unbelievable3

{Ed024's Note - You don't pay 10m for a 30 year old.}

Let's be honest you'd probably pay 10mil for Ronaldo.

Agree8 Disagree1

That's stupid ed, if he's worth it, he's worth it. 30 yrs old ain't even that old considering the likes of Gerrard, Toure, Pirlo, Alonso, Xavi Schweinstiger, Tevez etc are over 30, some by a lot
You're going on as if you hit a wall when you hit 30, you just some how turn average at best, he has been electric this WC and it's not surprising tbh he does it all the time for Mairseille you could easily get 3/4 good seasons out of him
Valbuena would create more goals than the rest of our midfielders in our club combined

Agree8 Disagree0

{Ed024's Note - Well lets wait and see how much he goes for. If he's in talks with Valencia for £4m then I'm guessing that's the ball park figure.}
