Ed is this roberto de fanti stuff just bull or is there some truth there? {Ed001's Note - he is definitely working for the club, yes. On what basis is not entirely clear, it could just be a consultancy role, similar to the one Joorabchian enjoyed at the Hammers, enabling him to bring in Mascherano and Tevez. Doncaster had a similar thing going on just before they got relegated from the Championship too.}

Hear from internal sources that sunderland is monitoring the following centre backs
1. Onyekachi Apam - 26yr old from rennes
2. Dragovic - 26yr old from Basel but appartently everton & arsenal also interested in this lad - he's looked fantastic when I've seen him in europe so might struggle if against these 2 teams

has someone put something in the water for sunderland fans. some of the post being put on here about certain players they would like to see at the sol have got me scratching my head. these are comments usually associated for our deluded friends from the toon. if you fancy some of these players to come to the sol please wait till we are safe. then think about reality who we are going to sign. with the new rules coming out next season we won't be seeing any marquee signings as we can't match the wages. I think pdc will have his eyes on a few players from the lower leagues who he has noted while being at Swindon also with his Italian connections we might see a few younger players coming from Italy but no major names. to balance the books a lot of work will be needed we can't move a lot of plaers on as the squad is not big enough and some of the players we have are on too big a wage for us to bring in players on similar wages.

Adebayor is sh*t
We can't go looking for players unproven in the higher leagues
We must go for players in these leagues
BPL, French league, Bundesliga, Spanish league, Italian league, Dutch league and possibly the championship

Samba is on 100k a week.
Short may get out his cheque book but he won't pay those sort of wages.
Nor do I blame him.

Wb Guidetti? He looks like a decent prospect and he has no chance of getting into the City starting XI any time soon!

A lot of wasted talent in some relegation clubs eg
QPR- taarabt, Remy, samba, townsend (loaned I know)
Reading -McCleary, le fondre (sub), pogrebnyak, McCarthy (gk)
Wigan- mcmanaman, maloney, di santo, al habsi, McCarthy, mcarthur
We should go for a few of these IMO.
My favs- di Santo- taarabt-mccleary and remy

Hearing our director of football enquired about Edison cavahni who is valued at 50m. He was never going to come but it means mr short is prepared to put his hand in his pocket. Expect some strange enquiries this transfer window
