Demba ba anyone? We need a goalscorer and he is proven! Sounds obvious to me! He would have to take a wage cut though!

Dave the mackem

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Jackson Martinez
Just as good and with low wages

Tottenham have cooled their interest

Agree6 Disagree4

Why would Demba Ba take a wage cut to go Sunderland.

If anything he would want a wage increase to play for you lot.

Agree3 Disagree7

No way would ba go to sunderland.
1. sunderland are rivals with newcastle who he ago really likes.
2. You wouldn't pay his wages.
3. He will go to a club playing CL.

Agree3 Disagree1

Reckon he'll go to one of the Merseyside teams

ED if Sess goes honestly who do you think we will get to replace him {Ed024's Note - Weimann from Villa}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Have a little bit of optimism ed?

Agree0 Disagree4

Ed is a realist.

Agree4 Disagree0

You mean Pessimist

Ins:
D'Ambrosio (4m).

BOSMANS - Diakite, Roberge, Ba, Cabral
=34m

Larsson (5m)
Sessegnon (8m)
Gardner (4m)

Ji (2.5m)
El Mohamody (2.3m)
=27.3m

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Would have a super team if that happened

Agree1 Disagree3

Never get 5m for larsson

Agree6 Disagree1

Or Graham or Ji or McClean or El Mohamedy. simply not worth it sadly

Agree0 Disagree1

Spurs won't sell huddlestone, martinez will go to a club playing CL or Europa.

Agree2 Disagree1

Clubs are in a bidding war between Ji and Elmo, their prices will rise and rise

Cardiff have already hinted at a 4m move for Graham

Agree2 Disagree0

Spurs want to sell Huddlestone

If we sign Insigne I will paint my house red and white. Sadly, it won't happen

Believable9 Unbelievable4

How do you know it won't happen I get sick of it when people think we can't get good players, just hope and be ambitios like I am

Agree0 Disagree2

You never know!!
PDC will work some magic, with help from these 2 new top class scouts

We'll get very good players

Agree3 Disagree1

I think we can get good players. I don't however think it is likely that we will get one of the top prospects of a side in the Champions League to join us

Agree2 Disagree0

Hope so

Agree0 Disagree0

People need to realise that yes while being positive and ambitious is great for both club and supporters, we need to be far more realistic. I am certainly not suggesting that we shouldn't be aiming to try and sign household names etc, but some of the rumours, such as Cavani and now Insigne are just silly. Considering the small size of our current squad an influx of decent bosman signings is a welcome sight, however people still seem to flapping in this early stage, even though we've been one of the most active teams in the league. I think we should all be able to agree we will be starting next season with a stronger possible selection than the one we finished with.
APC.

Agree4 Disagree0

Cavani and Lewandowski silly

Insigne isnt, if the club is linked to him, it doesn't mean it's impossible to get him

Agree2 Disagree1

The only way the club is linked to Insigne currently is through rumour same as Cavani. We are not going to attract young players who are already touted around the 15 million mark and playing champions league football from their current club or other potential suitors.

Agree2 Disagree0

You can't have that big ambition unless you are a top club, sunderland are a mid table club!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed where is everyone hearing that we are intrested in insigne I someone making this whole rumour up, I hope this rumour is true because he is good {Ed024's Note - This rumour has no concrete source - there is no chance of Sunderland signing him. Why would Napoli let him go ?}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

The Rumour was coming from Napoli

If we have no chance of getting him, why would they say he can leave for 15m

Agree3 Disagree0

Ed would you say a season long loan deal for him? {Ed024's Note - I think that would be the only realistic way we'd get him}

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Jun 2013 20:45:32
Why don't we go for Oliver Giroud
Arsenal a going for a bunch of strikers, Jovetic, Villa, Ba, Benteke, Rooney
He won't get much of a game, very good forward.
12m? {Ed024's Note -

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Yes, arsenal have been linked with those, but they not exactly going to buy them all. Giroud overrates himself and would not come unless we over pay him by a load.

Agree4 Disagree0

Yeah I know they won't get all of them but, if they got 1 or 2 he still wouldn't get into the team

Agree3 Disagree0

09 Jun 2013 20:43:08
I know this is a long shot but, why don't we at least try for Porto's Jackson Martinez
He will get us the goals!!
Fantastic striker, can't see it happen though, always worth a try

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Be unlikely but a great player

Agree3 Disagree1

Ed another post that really should be blocked. Almost turns me into a barcode. {Ed024's Note - Whats your problem original poster is only saying he likes him and would love to see him at Sunderland - why would that upset anyone. He evens qualifies the whole post by saying its a long shot. I think Spurs may be his destination if he heads to EPL.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Could actually get him,
Offer the right amount for him, the up side of 15m
He's on just above 10k a week
Make that 40k and we've got a top class striker

Agree1 Disagree0

They have cooled their interest

He's on 10k a week
Make that 45k and we have him

I don't like you, the one who is telling everyone that they should be blocked
It's a Rumour and Banter page, just a little fun, if you don't like it.

_____________Julio Cesar__________
_D'Ambrosio__O'Shea_Diakite__Rose_

_____________Cattermole____________________Milner_________________

_Johnson_________________Insigne_

_______Fletcher_____Hooper_______

Subs:Westwood, Roberge (f), Colback, N'Daiye, Cabral (f), Vaughan, Wickham, Guidetti (4m)

Julio Cesar-if Migs goes to Arsenal, no other clubs are interested in him, still top class goalkeeper despite his age
(4m)

Danilo D'Ambrosio-has enjoyed a very successful campaign with Torino, very good at attacking and defending, he would be a descent signing for Di Canio
(4m)

Danny Rose-If he wises up and realised he won't get first team at spurs, Di Canio will want him back at Sunderland on a permanent basis (willing to pay money)
(9m)

James Milner-With the new M. City boss wanting to change everything, Joe Hart will be the only English player to get in the squad, he will want to move due to lack of game time, he's a very good central Midfielder with a good range of passing and a very hard workers for the team
(7m)

Lorenzo Insigne-With Sessegnon leaving, Di Canio will want a good, young creative player who will bring an attacking spark to the team
(15m)

Gary Hooper-With 31 goals under his belt this season, and did extremely well in the champion league, he would be the ideal partner for Fletch to help get the goals for the team
(7m)

Outs: Bardsley (2.3m) / McClean (2.2m)
Larsson (4m) / Gardner (3m) / Ji (2.5m)
Graham (4m) / El Mohamody (2.5m) / Mignolet (10m) / Sessegnon (9m)
=39.5m {Ed024's Note -

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Would be fantastic

Agree3 Disagree0

Julio Cesar is on about 100k a week.

Agree2 Disagree0

Change Rose9m to Orban5m and insigne 19m

Agree3 Disagree0

We still can get Rose

Is this Orban any good

Agree2 Disagree0

Hi ed; all the rumour's all coming out with player's we have no chance of getting let's see wot kind of player di canio brings to the club I can see mignolet going for about 10m so if liverpool think there going to get him for 6m no chance. sess will go he does not scorer many goal for me so 8m I would take that.

Agree1 Disagree0

How do you know we don't have a chance of signing top players,

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi players we might be signing are.
1-diakite free.
2-roberge free.
3-cabral free.
4-guidetti loan.
5-lucas orban 2, 5m.
6-hooper 3m plus mclean.
7-ba free.
so you can say the player's above are the big names we are going to sign mr short will not spend big on player's any more and all we will get is free transfer's and low fee's players.
player's we have no chance off signing are.
1-d ambrosio.
2-huddlestone.
3-insigne.
4-martinez.
5-clint dempsey.
6-demda ba.
7-oliver giroud.
8-rose.
9-milner.
10-paulino.
all sunderland fan's whant to wake up we will not spend big in the summer.

Ed can you please block any text involving the word Insigne. IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! {Ed024's Note - I don't think it will happen either but you cant block people for hoping !!}

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Didn't think we'd get Johnson

Agree0 Disagree0

It's just our opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2013 18:45:38
If Sess is sold -
Who would be his replacement?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

If sess is sold I would really hope to get insigne

Agree4 Disagree2

Personally, I would like to see us try and loan zaha if he doesn't play at man u this season.

Agree3 Disagree4

Insigne!!!

Agree4 Disagree2

Lorenzo insigne, I would love absolutely love it if we got him

Agree2 Disagree1

Napoli won't sell insigne, do you know how highly rated he is? Why would he quit CL and a great club like Napoli and go to sunderland?

Agree1 Disagree3

Sidwell?

Agree2 Disagree5

If they don't want to sell him
They wouldn't put a 15m price tag on him

Agree4 Disagree0

09 Jun 2013 16:04:15
Ed, are we in for manolo gabbiadini and what's happaning with lorenzo insigne. I read somewhere, I know it's probably not true that we've agreed a deal for insigne. {Ed024's Note - Def no deal agreed}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

How do you know ed, we might have agreed a deal, I personally think your wrong and think we have agreed a deal {Ed024's Note - I dont know for sure he wont sign, I do know there is def no deal agreed at the moment.}

Agree3 Disagree2

What about gabbiadini {Ed024's Note - We've been linked with Gabbiadini but this could be his agent talking up the player - I'm not sure he'd get into the team.}

Agree2 Disagree2

09 Jun 2013 15:48:16
I think we could get Insigne
If Napoli does not want to sell him, they wouldn't put a 15m price tag on him

I would put Mignolet plus 3 million in exchange for Insigne, Napoli want Migs, if they don't want the swap deal, tell them they can't have Migs and sell him to Arsenal or someone, so if we can't have their player, they can't have ours

With Sess almost certain to leave, who is our most creative player
Di Canio will have some top class replacements along the lines of Insigne lined up, he wants to improve the club, not make it worse, so it is possible
Come July, there will be a lot of activity happening at SAFC

We have not given up on Danny Rose yet, PDC said its up to him, if he is willing to fight for he place at Tottenham he can, but if he wants to leave, PDC is more than happy to pay the money for him to come to us

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I agree I think we will sign insigne too mate

Agree3 Disagree3

Not definite
But possible

Agree3 Disagree2

How is Sess certain to leave? It's paper talk

Agree1 Disagree2

He has said that he is still unsettled and his family is having problems fitting in with the community
Probably go back to France

Agree0 Disagree0

You could say napoli putting a 15m price tag is paper talk.

What's the situation with Paulinho ED? {Ed024's Note - Corinthians willing to sell, Inter Miland faourites to get him with Roma and Shakhtar also interested.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Is he any good?

Agree0 Disagree1

Don't you mean livorno Ed? {Ed024's Note - No, I was referring to José Paulo Bezerra Maciel Júnior, commonly known as Paulinho. He's at Corinthians but is expected to move to Europe in the close season.}

Agree1 Disagree0

I here you ed - the player you are talking about is a midfield player. The player the other poster is talking about is a forward for Livornio. The latter is only worth about £2M and couldn't lace Fletcher's boots - if we went for him it would only be to replace Graham (on the bench). {Ed024's Note - Yes that player is Paulo Sérgio Betanin, and also referred to as Paulinho - he's played most of his time is Serie B but scored a few goals, might be worth a punt for £2M}

Agree0 Disagree0

It's closer to 6 million than 2. {Ed024's Note - I would only pay £2m - they might want £6m but i wouldn't pay it}

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2013 15:03:37
Ins Diakite Ba Roberge Cabral Orban + ED do you think there is any chance of Insigne coming also are we linked to manolo gabiadini {Ed024's Note - No chance of Insigne, we have been linked to Manolo Gabiadini but he has not been pulling up trees in Italy ..I'm not convinced he'd get into our current team.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Ed I would be happy with gabiadini but he is defo not the finnished article

Agree0 Disagree2

Why not with Insigne
If they said he can leave for 15m, it must mean they're not desperate to keep him

Agree3 Disagree2

09 Jun 2013 13:29:16
Connor wickham. , Adam Johnson and Phil bardsley are likely to leave this summer with new prem team Cardiff leading the chase for the signature of all 3 players

Believable2 Unbelievable7

What a load of rubbish Adam Johnston will stay other 2 can leave

Agree5 Disagree4

Why get rid of Wickham? Give him a chance!

Agree7 Disagree4

Is some people just total morons, johnson leaving my god give your heads a shake, bardsley would be a good squad player but will be gone, wickham is already looking forward to next season

Agree4 Disagree2

I am sure Wickham will come good next season
His performances for England are showing the best out if him

Bad news on Insigne he had torn his ligaments in his foot last night in the u21 match with Israel. He was stretched off and has scans today to see how long he will be out for. Not like we where going to get him anyway though.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

No he hasn't,
He will be fit for the semi final of the European U21championship semi final in a few days

Agree1 Disagree0

Is this true ed
Or is it a jealous mag {Ed024's Note - Insigne has sprained his ankle, bad sprain apparently, they initally thought it was a worse injury - U21 Tournament probably over for him.}

Agree1 Disagree0

It isn't
He's okay for semis

Agree1 Disagree1

He will be out for the next game but will be back in the semi finals

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Jun 2013 23:47:24
ed;wot is going on at sunderland mig's whant's to go now sessegnon and adam johnson could go as well all di canio is going to do is fill our team with cheap inport's and sell all our better player's all I can see bad newsnext season. {Ed024's Note - PDC may be in experinenced but he's not daft - He wants to keep Mig's but if a team that regularly play in Europe come calling Mig's may make the decision to go. As he still has 2 years left on his contract we are under no real pressure to sell so should get big bucks for him - £10mill + add ons for appearances etc.
Sessegnon - there are rumours he doesnt like PDC's style, but no clubs have enquired for him, last season was probably his worst for us, he wasn't consistent and I think a few fans cant see past his goals against Everton and Newcastle. If he goes it will probably be to France but if I had to bet I'd say he's staying.
Johnson - has publicly backed PDC's way of working, improved after PDC arrived, you never say never, but cant see him going anywhere.}

Believable8 Unbelievable1

So what do you want then? Go after the same old managers who dip into the premier league before being sacked every couple of years? To keep the current players happy who tried there very hardest to get us relegated? Wake up! Sunderlands been a cushy number for to many people for to long. Not anymore! Why are we afraid of change. because it might bring success. {Ed024's Note - Short's took a chance with PDC, we stayed up and he now needs to kick on. If he upsets a few primma donnas on the way (who are earning £50k a week) and we lose a couple of players, then I for one think that is a price worth paying.}

Agree5 Disagree0

With the fair play coming in clubs are selling there high earners

Agree2 Disagree0

Agree with Ed024, for far too long these players have been just going through the motions, and not playing for our managers, two of which they watched get the sack. Hope Paolo sorts them out even if the whole lot have to go, time for a new era for our club.

Agree3 Disagree0

You are on about success we will away's be bottom half in the p. l because all we are is a selling CLUB FOR ALL THE BIGGER CLUB'S OUT THERE {Ed024's Note - That statement could apply to any club outside the top 6}

Agree1 Disagree2
